Got the train up around the tree from when I was a kid. The guts of the train needed completely retro fitted. The switching mechanism had a broken wire that needed soldered. The switching mechanism also had a broken post that held it in place. Had to dig the old one carefully out of the other plastic piece and replace it with something of comparable height. Then it needed secured. Got that done by cutting a slotted flat piece of metal, using foam insert, and glueing everything in place. And now it is working like a charm!!! Now to figure out the smoke feature and we will be perfect! The kiddos are ecstatic!!
