Sins Teaser!
Okay idk if ima gonna get this done in time but I’m really trying! Here’s a taste, if you like, of my contribution to Sins week!
@clearwillow thank you for this AWESOME and sexy banner to use! I love all your work. @lemonlushff thank you for hosting this event! You’re both amazing individuals, I can’t wait for yours and everyone else’s pieces!!
Mine is a chapter fic and will include a prologue of sorts that I’ll post on Saturday evening. And this will be an AO3 exclusive as well as on my Patreon (for free).
With my favorite holiday approaching, Halloween, this fic is inspired by the 1980s classic, Weird Science. Not a halloween film, I know, but throw in demon rituals and it’s pretty All Hallows’ eve vibes. Let me know what you think!
It was decadent. Even more so for breakfast. But after the night Sango had she would need the comfort.
I carefully flipped the crepe I had in the pan over and took a sip of my tea. Strawberries chopped behind me and chocolate melted, all that was left was cooking the bread and wrapping them up.
The knock on the door had me quickly flinging the finished crepe to a plate and tip toe run to answer it. I sighed and shook my head at her, but stepped back to let Kikyo in.
“How mad is she?”
“Pretty mad. What were you thinking?”
Kikyo flicked a short black lock around her ear, showing off her pretty diamond earrings. Probably a gift from a guy. “I was thinking that Ken was a really nice guy even if he wasn’t right for me.”
Sighing, I relented. Kikyo clearly meant well but just didn’t get it. But she never struggled to find love just struggled to find love in her own heart.
She took a seat at our small dining room table, facing me as I danced in the kitchen with my work. Pouring more batter into my pan, I lifted the metal to swirl it around for my circle. I loved watching the liquid become solid before my eyes. An instance of science that looked like magic to me.
“Any coffee for me?”
I pointed to the pot I made for Sango when she got up. Kikyo had just placed her full mug to her lips for a sip when Sango’s bedroom door flung open. We both jumped, yet somehow, Kikyo’s coffee landed on me. I pulled away from her attempts to clean and apologize to flip my crepe instead.
“I found it. I found the answer!”
Sango looked wild. Her eyes were red from lack of sleep and her hair was in knots. She also didn’t care that Kikyo was there or that she was running around in a large t-shirt with no pants. I had seen her like that many times but Kikyo never had for a reason. Sango has a thing about her thighs and ass. I thought she looked great but she didn’t so Sango rarely let anyone see them in daylight like this.
Kikyo was still trying to dab coffee off my sleeve while I knew a change of shirt was inevitable. “What are you talking about?”
Kikyo’s tone didn’t deter Sango in the least, holding up the book she borrowed last night up in the air. “I found the answer to our boy problems!”
Glancing at the binding, I quickly read the title. It was an old text on witchcraft. More importantly one that included spells and incantations instead of history and theories. I had searched for years for a text like it and Sango was brandishing it around like a sword.
“Be careful with that!!”
Now she clutched it to her chest, changing from a sword to a precious child. “It has what we all need. Kagome and I especially. Kikyo… you don’t need it like we do but you can make up for last night by helping.”
“What are you talking about?” Kikyo spun to me, “what is she talking about?!”
Like I had a clue? That book was full of silly and ridiculous rhymes and rituals. Most that involved sacrificing something like blood or an animal.
So I shrugged and we both turned back to a manic Sango. Who grinned wide before slapping the book open to a page. “To Summon a Perfect Mate.”

Warning: This is just my opinion, if it causes you so much conflict to come and insult me, I’m sorry. But it’s obvious I have to write it this way to get attention. It is your responsibility to know how to take this with good face or, the most reasonable thing: ignore me.
The Sesshome must be Inuyasha’s least interesting and original ship:
• The cliché of the lonely demon who hates/distrusts humans and the normal/contemporary girl (InuKag).
• The cliché of the solitary demon who hates/distrusts humans and the "beautiful" priestess of great power (InuKyo/SessKyo).
• The cliché of the lonely demon who hates/distrusts humans and the kind girl with beautiful smile and purity who manages to change him (SessRin).
• The cliché of the solitary demon who hates her at first (or dislikes her, or kidnaps her for certain purposes) and the girl who confronts her with "courage" (InuKyo/Inukag/KogKag even NaraKyo).
• The cliché of the guy who’s a rival to the other guy and fights for her? (KogKagInu)
• The cliché of the perverted guy who becomes faithful for the love of her (even MirSan).
And even if Kagome eventually becomes a priestess, I can’t consider her a "own" character because of her conception. It is a sad character, since before birth is marked by and for the Inukag.

It’s the creator’s fault for making such great character development during ATLA lol. Korra just flipflops about. She’s just okay to me XD
lol it is very difficult to go from the much more incredible character development in atla to that in lok. which is not to say atla is without fault, but lok falls short, imho, when you compare them. and yeah, you can blame some of that on the fact that they only had so many episodes approved and such, which is why I'm giving it the benefit of the doubt as they continue the series, but dang, it just feels like they could have put more time into it if they'd...I dunno, focused themselves instead having 18 plotlines.
#narakyo#shrug#I'm not saying lok isn't a terrific show in and of itself#like if you had nothing to compare it to#it'd probably be amazing#head and shoulders above many shows#but unfortunately it's kind of overshadowed by atla's glory#so we have a really good basis of comparison

I was curious about the program as well. I love Photoshop but like the brushes that paint programs tend to offer so this sounds like a nice balance mix?
