In The Dark Of The Night┃Caroline & Giovanni
@italianstalliongio
It had been over ten minutes that Caroline had been waiting for Enzo. Not that she'd be counting. With her arms crossed over her chest she couldn't help but remember the joke he'd made about seducing a random girl at the event. Sure, they were only friends - but still, it was rude to just up and ditch her. Huffing loudly to herself she moved through the crowds, trying to find the dark haired man to give him a piece of her mind.
Giovanni was hungry. He’d managed to find himself alone with his own thoughts. Rebekah was nowhere to be seen, neither was Lexi. After he had bumped into an old friend, Giovanni needed a little pick me up. A blonde caught his eye from across the room. He always said he had a thing for blondes. The male moved toward her, making sure that their paths were to collide. The vampire bumped into the blonde, before then stumbling back. His hands came to rest on her shoulders. “Oh, gosh.. I’m sorry, I wasn’t watching where I was going.” He spoke, flashing her a charming smile. His gaze was already focused on the pulsating vein in her neck, almost as if was taunting him.
The sudden collision had Caroline jumping back in surprise, blue eyes wide as she looked over at the masked man. "No, no, it was my fault, really. I should of been looking where I was going." she said with an apologetic smile, moving to adjust a blonde lock that had fallen out of place. "it's just so hard to find people when everyone is wearing these masks, you know?" an awkward laugh slipped from her lips, very aware of the mans attractiveness, even behind a mask it was easy to tell.
A smile then crossed the male’s lips as the blonde spoke. “No harm done.” Giovanni smiled, licking his lips as he eyed her. She’d do nicely. All he had to do now was to find a way to get her out of there, preferably without using compulsion. With it being a founders event, he knew there would be certain people around who would be investing vervain. He didn’t want to risk running into one of those people. “Well, perhaps I can help you look? Two pairs of eyes are better than one after all.” Another kind smile then returned to his lips.
“Thanks, I really appreciate it.” She said honestly, eyes wide as she looked at him. “He’s probably a little shorter than you, dark hair and an english accent. His names Enzo.” She added, the smile still on his lips. “I’m pretty sure he’s just found another girl to flirt with and gotten bored of me, but I just want to check he hasn’t got himself lost in this mansion.” the blonde gestured around the place with a laugh. It wouldn’t be hard to imagine someone getting lost in a place like this.
“Oh, I know Enzo, we actually met a little while back. Strange guy.” Giovanni chuckled lightly, smirking to himself. He wondered for a moment if the blonde knew who her so called friend was. “I’m sure he’s fine, try not to worry too much. Maybe we should check the gardens first?” Giovanni pointed to the back door, flashing her yet another smile. The gardens would be private enough for what he had in mind. Plus, it was dark outside now, so the two would be able to slip away unnoticed.
Caroline couldn’t help but grin at that, relieved it would be easier to find Enzo with someone else that knew him. “You’re not wrong, he’s pretty weird. But he’s fun to hang out with, when he’s not ditching me.” Her eyes rolled at her last comment, nodding at his suggestion. “Good idea. The crowds are a bit much for anyone.” She took the lead, heels clicking against the hard floor as she opened the door, making her way outside first.  It was practically pitch black outside, difficult to see anything but the faint outlines of bushes in the garden.
As the blonde agreed to his idea on checking the gardens for her lost friend, Giovanni couldn’t help but smile. Luckily, the mask he wore hid the veins that were beginning to darken beneath his eyes, his bloodlust already starting to get the better of him. Taking a deep breath of the fresh air as the exited, Giovanni managed to gain a slight shred of self control back. The male shut the door behind the both of them, hoping to block out the sound of the screams that were going to come from the woman. Though, the music and the bustle of the crowd would likely hide it anyway. Watching as the blonde began to move out into the darkness, the veins beneath his eyes reappeared, fangs following suit. He stalked toward the woman, pearly white teeth glinting in the moonlight. “You know.. I always did admire how NAIVE humans can be.” The male hissed, eyeing the woman, tongue running over his teeth as he stalked closer to her, choosing to keep his mask on. “I always have said that I had a thing for blondes, they just taste oh so SWEET.” Giovanni wanted to scare the girl, he lived for the thrill of the chase. “This is the part where you run.” He lunged toward her, snarling aggressively.
As the silence of the night began to settle in Caroline couldn’t help but feel a little uneasy. Something...didn’t feel right. Turning her heart fell to the pit of her stomach, eyes widening at the sight of the mans fangs. His eyes....they looked hellish, a colour she’d never seen before. “Oh my god....” she breathed, heart racing as she tried to take a couple of steps back from the stranger, fear running through her veins. It was like on the full moon...whatever he was, he wasn’t human. And he was dangerous. His words had her turning in her heels, grabbing the edges of her dress so she could lift the skirt constricting her feet from running. Adrenaline pumped through the blonde as she ran as fast as she could, a scream from the girl piercing the silence of the night.
Giovanni watched as the girl began to run, her screams echoing out into the night. His face contorted into that of a monstrous animal. He watched her run for a moment, calmly walking along behind her, his blood lust guiding him. The male used his enhanced speed to catch up with her, appearing in front of her. “Don’t be afraid sweetheart, it’ll only hurt for a second..” He murmured as he stalked toward her.
It didn’t seem possible, every inch of her body screaming to try and get back inside, to survive - and yet she knew he blocked her way back to the event going on, to the safety of people. His sudden appearance in front of her  had Caroline taking in a sharp intake of breath, body flinching, so much so that the dress she wore caught on a nearby bush, the thin fabric tearing ever so slightly. Staring the man down she tried her best to keep her breathing slow, failing as her chest rose and fell sporadically, watching as he moved closer. Gritting her teeth the teenagers hand balled into a fist, throwing as much strength as she had behind it as she struck the side of the mans face, trying to buy herself some kind of time.
Giovanni smirked as he saw the panic riddling her face. He could hear the pounding of her heart, her blood pumping through her veins. He wanted every single drop. A snarl then passed his lips as he drawled closer to her. A brow raised as her fist connected with his jaw. He growled, stretching out his jaw for a moment before then snatching her wrist, pulling her closer. “She’s feisty. I love a challenge.” Fangs exposed, the male glowered at her. Without another moment of hesitation, Giovanni sunk his teeth into the side of her neck, taking a deep drink. As soon as the metallic taste of her blood hit his tongue he held the girl closer, drinking deeper. He felt SO hungry. He didn’t want to stop.
Oh god. Panic riddled the girl as her punch did little to nothing to affect the creature standing in front of her. Not that she'd been hopeful, but still. A loud cry came from the blonde as he grabbed her wrist, feeling nothing but the tears rolling down her cheeks and the cold brushing against her skin before his fangs pierced into her skin, pain overwhelming her as her body froze in shock.
Giovanni carried on indulging, taking more and more of her blood as groans of pleasure slipped from his mouth. In that moment, the vampire didn’t care whether she lived or died, he just had to satiate his hunger. He clutched onto her weakening body, before then taking a breath, tipping his head back and allowing her blood to disappear down his throat with a roar. He then snapped his gaze back down to the woman in his grasp. “No.” The colour had drained from her face, and he began to panic. “No no no, NO” Giovanni had been having blackouts for quite some time. Lexi had been helping him, of course, but it was proving more difficult than the last few times this had happened. “I’m so sorry. I- I can fix this.” Giovanni lifted his wrist to his lips, teeth piercing the skin to draw his own blood. “Drink. You need to drink. It’ll heal you.” The male spoke placing his wrist to her mouth, his heart RACING from the sheer panic he felt in that moment.
The more he fed the dizzier Caroline felt, her body struggling to even keep itself upright as she felt herself grow weaker and weaker, eyes closing as struggled to keep conscious. Everything was black, the mans voice distorted in her ears until she felt skin against her lips. Trying to push away her body was too feeble to even move, gagging at the vile taste of blood filling her mouth and trickling down her throat, unable to do anything but swallow. A hand moved upwards to feebly hit against his arm, trying to get him to loosen his grip, to stop whatever this was.
Giovanni was in a complete state of panic, he’d messed up once again. He just hoped he hadn’t been too late to feed her his blood. The male didn’t want her death on his hands. “I’m trying to help you!” He shouted as the woman tried to fight him off. His heart pounded heavily against his chest as he continued to feed her his blood. Once he was sure that she’d had enough, he dropped her hand. Looking her over one last time, the male then disappeared back to the party, leaving her alone to recover from his vicious attack.
Caroline flinched at his yelling, tears rolling down her cheeks as she took a gulp, trying not to gag on the taste on blood in her mouth. As he moved back she gasped loudly, struggling to catch her breath as she tried to understand what was happening. But as quick as the attack had been, he was gone, leaving the blonde shaking, tears mixing with the blood smeared on her face.

Dance With Me || Ambrose & Caleb
A man she never thought would cross her path again after their unexpected way of meetings, but here they are -- dancing in the middle of the crowd whilst revealing some secrets. @calebsmallwood
Tumblr media
Ambrose:  As lovely as it is to spend her time with Roxanne who she was lucky to have as her company for tonight’s ball, Ambrose was looking for someone to carry out her little plan against her former best friend after the fight they had the other day. As well as to look for some fine wine, upon getting herself a glass and some nibbles it was then when someone accidentally stepped on the bottom of her dress. “Please, be careful with where you’re stepping for God’s sake.”
Caleb: From the very beginning of the event Caleb had been knocking down the free drinks, and they were beginning to take a toll of the teenager, his movement a little more stumbling than walking as he bumped into the girl. "Shit, sorry." he moved back immediately, glancing down at the dress to check he hadn't ruined it.
Ambrose: “It’s fine, don’t worry. I’ve just over reacted.” Ambrose claimed with a soft sigh, that’s when she recognised that voice and and familiar face. “Caleb?” She called, rather taken back after not having to run into him for a while. “Are you here to enjoy the party too?”
Caleb: He looked over at her with some surprise as she said his name, a small frown on his face. "...Ambrose...right? Sorry, it's hard to recognise anyone with these damn masks on." he admitted with a shrug of his shoulders. "I guess so, yeah. I mean...it's not really much fun when you're here alone but at least I showed up."
Ambrose: Ambrose nodded with a small smile, lifting her mask up for it to rest carefully atop of her head. “Exactly, I’ve already mistaken someone for friends of mine a couple of times.” She  admitted, they were probably the most interesting conversations she have had all night. “Oh? Why? Knowing you, thought you’d have a date with you tonight.”
Caleb: "Really? I just...haven't really bothered to speak to anyone." he admitted, his mask slipping slightly as he ran a hand through his hair, laughing slightly at her comment. "Knowing me? You think I'm some kind of womaniser or something?" he asked, shaking his head with an amused smile. "Nah, no one wanted to go with me so...guess I'm here alone."
Ambrose: “Well, you seems to have a face for it.” Ambrose let a playful laugh slipped, nudging the male playfully by the elbow. Despite the little time they had spend together, both situations being not the best — she was glad to finally able to have a normal conversation with Caleb. “As in no one? That’s a surprise.” She claimed, taking a quick sip of her glass with a small frown. “Perhaps I could keep you company until you find a date or someone to mingle with, not sure if two drunks together is a good idea but I don’t see why not.
Caleb: "You think?" he asked with an embarrassed laugh, an embarrassed flush coming to his cheeks. He had to thank the mask for somewhat hiding his embarrassment. "Not really. I'm not exactly popular." he admitted with a small smile, not exactly sure why he was telling Ambrose about how much of a loser he was. "That sounds pretty good to me to be honestly. Unless your date is waitin' for you"
Ambrose: As the girl expected, he truly was a cute little thing. Much like how she used to be, “Yeah. I do think so, give yourself more credit, Caleb.” She smiled softly with a soft nod, before taking a quick look around in attempts to try to find her already lost date. “Unfortunately, don’t think I’ll have much luck finding her in this crowd. I’m sure she will be fine on her own, though I would definitely need to apologise tomorrow for sneaking away for a drink.” Ambrose laughed.
Caleb: "Hard to do when this town is filled with a lot of pretty people." he admitted with a shrug of his shoulders. His eyebrows rose a fraction at the mention of her date being female, not aware that Ambrose liked girls. "Well, a few more drinks won't hurt." he said with a grin, happy for the company.
Ambrose: Ambrose could see where his comment came from in regards of pretty faces around town, there are a plenty of attractive people she came across after all. “I suppose, but everyone have their own preference. And i just so happened to find you in the list of attractive.” She chuckled, brows rose playfully with a small grin. “Hey, I never got to thank you. For helping me home on that day.”
Caleb: "Well...thanks." the lopsided grin on his lips grew a little wider at his words. Sure, Ambrose wasn't exactly the girl he was hoping would call him attractive that night, but he'd take it. "Oh, it's no problem. Just...wanted to make sure you got back safe."
Ambrose: “Look at you, you better keep that grin on the rest of the evening. Looks much better on you compare to your frown.” She couldn’t help but to tease Caleb a little, giggling lightly at his reaction before nodding. “Pretty sure anyone else would’ve just left me to find my way alone, I appreciate it. Though, what else did I slurred about?”Caleb: "...mostly you joked about trying to take a bite out of me, and how boring I was." he admitted trying to bite back an amused smile. Being a warlock he could handle himself, but it was still a little entertaining how the girl had called him out so much that night.
Ambrose: “I did? It doesn’t surprise me but I’d imagine something worse come out of my mouth than that.” Ambrose mused sarcastically, fortunately she remembered most parts of what happened on that night. Having to slurred out all of her secret to a stranger which wasn’t the brightest idea in mind, but she was upset and frankly pissed after mentioning her ex with Lexi at the Grills. “That night have been wild before you found me.”
Caleb: “I don’t think I even want to try and imagine what a wild night would be for a vampire like you” he admitted with a small laugh. They weren’t exactly close, and he wasn’t entirely sure what the woman was capable of.
Ambrose: Ambrose couldn't help but to smile at his response, she was merely referring to the night she had with Lexi where they end up drinking a little too much whilst talking about relationship and how much she hated Klaus. That's what got the vampire drunk in the first place, "Oh dear, relax. Nothing dramatic happened, no blood shedding. Just drunk a little too much with a friend of mine."
Caleb: Calebs eyebrows raised, nodding slowly. “I didn’t even know vampires could get drunk before seeing you like that.” He admitted with a laugh. “But I’m glad you had a nice night, even if you were a bit of a mess.”
Ambrose: “The more you know.” Ambrose shrugged her shoulders lightly before having a quick scan around the dance floor just behind them, “Well I suppose that’s what most vampires are — a mess, anyway come on. Let’s dance.” The girl suggests, upon placing her glass at the side she grabbed hold onto Celebas arm. “You can’t be at a ball and don’t dance at least for once.”
Caleb: “Who says I haven’t danced already?” Caleb scoffed in protest, but let the woman lead the way to the dance floor despite his words. She was somewhat right, it didn’t do much good to just...mope in the corner. And if Ambrose wanted to dance with him then he’d take it.
Ambrose: “Yeah but have you danced with someone from the 1800s and a proper set of skills?” Ambrose argued playfully as she was successful in dragging Caleb onto the dance floor, with some quick adjustment to where the placements of their hands should be on each other — they managed to join in the crowd with the dance, “It’s been a while since I’ve danced at a ball.” The girl admits, with her accent thicken at the word ‘dance’.
Caleb: “....ok, fair point” Caleb laughed at her words, eyes rolling as she directed him where exactly his hands should be going, the warlock being more than happy for her to lead. “That makes two of us then.” he smiled at her, trying to focus on the steps.
Ambrose: As the music gently played in the background, blending with the soft chatters of those around them — Ambrose noticed how the male was trying hard in concentrate where his foot should come next. “You look as if you’re about to bust in anger.” The girl teased, “Relax — this is suppose to be fun, don’t think too much of it. Feel the playfulness behind each steps.”
Caleb: "Fun? You gotta remember all these annoying steps, that doesn't sound like much fun to me." he pointed out with a scoff, shaking his head. "I'm not...I'm not angry, I'm just concentrating."
Ambrose: “It’s not that hard to remember the steps.” Ambrose noted with a small shrug, “Guess I’ll have to distract you a little, what are you? You don’t seem too surprise to know that I’m a vampire.”
Caleb: "Says the woman whose done the dance hundreds of times." he commented with a roll of his eyes. "Well, I've learnt about the supernatural world since I was a child. My best friend turned recently so...I'm trying not to judge too hastily." he explained, trying to word himself carefully.
Ambrose: “Oh? A newly turned vampire? Or perhaps a werewolf?” The girl asked, surprised to learn about what happened to his friend. “Is that right? Simply had been learning about the supernatural world when you were younger? You definitely sounds like a witch.” Ambrose pointed it out with a playful smile, it reminded her of the time where she had done the same thing. Reading all those books her mother would gift her and knowing about magic as she grew up.
Caleb: "Vampire." he admitted with a small nod, trying to not seem too affected by it. It was still hurting, to mourn the loss of his friend as a human - and to accept her as a vampire. "You wouldn't be wrong there. I'm a warlock...plus a little something extra." he added with a slight nod of his head. It was unheard of from what he'd researched - a warlock who also had the genetics of a werewolf. Unluckily for him, he'd managed to get the worst of both worlds.
Ambrose: “It must’ve been strange to see your close friend become a blood sucking creature of the night that you’ve seen in those books.” Ambrose couldn’t imagine it, she was quite the opposite when it happened. Having all of her family killed, no one she knew from the past was there apart from the Mikaelsons whom later helped her along the way. “Something extra? Now you’ve me curious.” She muse, lips curling into a charming smile with a small tilt of her head. “Please, do tell. If you’re going to say that little extra bit is human, that’s just lame.” The vampire had been adapting and learning new phrases throughout her stay at high school, it is intriguing for someone like her.
Caleb: “That’s one way to put it.” he nodded, lips pressing into a thin line. Though he was determined for things to not change...they had, and Ambroses words were a stinging reminder of that. “Well, my fathers family carry the warlock lineage - but my mum turned out to have the werewolf gene on her side.” He admitted, a small grin on his lips.
Ambrose: Needless to say, Ambrose was surprised to hear the males origin and it was written all over her features. The only hybrid she ever known was Klaus, but he was turned by magic. “Now, that’s interesting indeed.” She mumbles softly, “Which would still make you a mere warlock, nature doesn’t tend to allow hybrids as I am aware.” Through the centuries, Ambrose had heard rumours of other species of hybrids but she didn’t think they were real nor did she ever encounter one.
Caleb: Caleb's lips pressed together, shrugging his shoulders at her words. "Nature seems to have dropped the ball on me." he said with a small sigh. "But I suppress my werewolf genes with magic most months, it's draining, but better there." he paused, unsure whether he should really be trusting her with this fact. "I consider myself a warlock, not a hybrid."
Ambrose: “A hybrid.” Ambrose mumbles, those words were more meant for herself than Caleb. She was surprise to learnt what he actually is, having to know only one hybrid or the original hybrid as Klaus calls himself. “I never knew you could do that with magic, but then again there’s only so much we knew at the time.” She added, there was still so much not known about magic when Ambrose roamed the earth. “You’re the second hybrid — warlock whatever you refer yourself as to, I actually know.
Caleb: "It's taken a lot of hard work to perfect it." Caleb revealed, nodding his head slightly. "But yeah....warlock. Just a warlock." he repeated firmly. As the dance finally came to an end he gave her a smile, letting go of her hand. "I guess I should get back to my table....thanks for the dance."
Ambrose: It was an unexpected guest to her evening, but she enjoyed his company while it lasted. “Thank you for the dance, Mr Warlock.” Ambrose mused, returning the smile as she lifted her skirt lightly in either side, bidding him good bye. “Hope we’ll see each other again.”

LEXI & MARCEL // A HISTORIC DANCE
Tumblr media
After bumping into each other and Marcel giving Lexi a gift the two vampires choose to dance with one another, revealing parts of their past as they do so.
Marcel: Ever since Marcel had been abandoned by Mary who have sneaked away to some other place at the Founders Ball, right after he had told her to be careful — he had been roaming around with a glass between his hand. Marcel was hoping to find a friend tonight, to give her what was promised to her the other day. He had contacted some other witches who owes him a favour and created a day light ring for him, “Hey, finally found you.” He called, “You’re not hiding from me are you?”
Lexi: Though usually the life of the party, Lexi was lingering in the shadows a little that night. The risk of the founding families discovering her was something she couldn't afford. A champagne flute in her hand she glanced over at the familiar voice, her lips spreading into a slow smile. "Marcel." her voice was warm as she acknowledged him,  a small laugh slipping from her lips. "Not at all. Simply enjoying watching everyone having a good time."
Marcel: It was unusual seeing how tamed and calm Lexi seemed tonight in comparison to the time they've spend together, but it was understandable consider the venue they are currently at - Mary had warned him of the founding families too. "Good, otherwise my feelings might just be hurt." Marcel chuckled, with a soft nod. "You came here alone?"
Lexi: Her smile was bright at the man, eyes rolling. "Oh, how terrible that would be." she couldn't help but tease, bringing her drink to her lips as Marcel asked who she came with. "No need to sound so pitying." she joked, nodding her head. "Yeah, I came alone. Got a message from someone wanting to meet me here so...I'm here." she shrugged, a small smile on her lips.
Marcel: It would be a lie if Marcel said he didn’t miss the playfulness between the two of them, spending time with Lexi definitely takes the edge of things when it gets tensed. “That sounds pretty shady if you ask me.” Marcel notes, taking a moment to scan around the area as he took a sip from his glass. “Try and be careful alright?”
Lexi: Marcel was fun. It was rare for Lexi to find someone she clicked with so easily, and she enjoyed spending time with him. "Awh, are you worried for little old me?" she teased, eyes gleaming brightly, a smile on her lips. "Don't worry. I doubt anything is going to happen as long as I'm in a public place." she paused, suddenly realizing that Marcel seemed a little...well, unaccompanied. "Wheres your date?"
Marcel: Marcel nodded in agreement, with all these humans around it was like whoever knew of their existence would risk making a scene in the middle of an event like this. “Oh — ah, right my date.” He chuckled, shaking his head a little. “Ditched me the first chance she got, but no I’m just here with the girl I am kinda looking after. So technically, no date.”
Lexi: "What? A handsome guy like you? Shut up." she laughed in shock, shaking her head at this fact. "I will not accept the fact that you are single, and that you didn't get a hot date to come to this thing with you." It wasn't possible. He was a great guy, with a good sense of humor and a generous spirit. "We have got to find you a girlfriend."
Marcel: “Well, I am in fact quite single and definitely no hot date. But says the one who came here alone too, Lexi.” Marcel could only laugh at Lexi’s comments, shaking his head lightly. Perhaps it is time to commit in moving on, no more connections and all these maybes with Rebekah. He deserves the love he longed for too, “I doubt I would find anyone in Mystic Falls let’s be honest.” Marcel chuckled,
Lexi: "Well, I do have the love of my life waiting for me back home." she reminded him with a small laugh, shrugging her shoulders. Though a date would of been nice, she missed Rowan more than anything. "Really?" Lexi blinked, taken aback by his words. "But...you never know what might be here." she pointed out with a small frown, shaking her head. "Give yourself a little more time here. You never know, the perfect girl might be right around the corner."
Marcel: “Hope he’s doing alright.” Marcel was happy for her, having someone back home waiting for you is always a nice feeling. A place where you could relax with your partner and just, call home. “I guess you’re right, honestly I don’t know if I’m ready for a committed relationship right now though. Too much is going on.” He sighed, if given in a different situation he wouldn’t mind keeping his mind open on meeting someone new.
Lexi: "He is. As much as he pretends he's not on the phone." she joked with a laugh, amusement clear in her features. "You know, when I come and visit in New Orleans I'll have to bring him with me. I feel like you two would get along." She listened to him with an understanding smile. It was hard, to open yourself up to love when the risks were too great. "Just know you've got friends who care about you. Me included."
Marcel: It brought a warm smile on Marcel's face, there's been a lot of people coming in and walking out in his life. There wasn't many that stayed aside from the Mikaelsons, "Thanks Lexi, I appreciate it." He said, giving the women a gentle pat on the shoulder before taking a quick sip of his champagne. "Maybe, would love to meet the lucky guy." He chuckled softly at his own comment, "Oh before I forget, there's something I want to give you. Well, something I promised."
Lexi: “No problem.” Lexi grinned, giving the other vampire a playful wink. The friends she held close to her heart were ones that could often turn to her in times of need - and Marcel was certainly one of them. Smiling at his words her eyebrows raised, an entertained look on her face. “Promised me? And what did you promise?”
Marcel: The playful part of Marcel wanted to tease and make it look as if he was going to proposal to Lexi in front of the entire crowd but that might just anger whoever her mystery date would be, so he saved the idea for later. “Here.” The male spoke up, holding a small jewellery casing as he handed over to the girl. “I promised you a day light ring right? Consider this our little friendship bracelet.” Marcel chuckled softly.
Lexi: A sudden realization came to the blondes eyes as he revealed the little jewelry box, lips parted in shock. Of course, he’d said he would find her one - but many had said similar things in the past. “I....” she paused, shaking her head in amazement. ”Thank you” she almost whispered the words as she looked down at the gift. “Marcel this is...” she trailed off, touched by the other vampires actions.
Marcel: “Alright alright, that’s enough thank yous for one night.” The male laughed softly, shaking his head as he smiled at Lexi. Marcel is a man of his words after all, at least to those he trusts and like. He was glad to make her night, “But you’re welcome, I said I’d get it for you and I did. Don’t loose it.” Marcel said playfully, “Not sure if that’s your style but — too bad.”
Lexi: "It's perfect." she reassured him, slipping the ring onto her finger with a wide smile. "And it's not what I would've chosen, but I can make it work." she grinned over at him, moving to take one of his hands. "Right, I definitely owe you a dance."
Marcel: Marcel was glad to see her smile and reaction to his gift, chuckling lightly at her comment. “Wouldn’t want to make your secret date jealous now, but I’ll take it.” He teased before placing his empty glass off to the side, extending a hand for Lexi with a playful smile. “May I have this dance?”
Lexi: "Well my secret date is going to have to find out I'm taken either way, so..." she trailed off, grinning. "Might as well enjoy a dance with a friend first." Looking over at the man she smiled as she took his head, nodding her head. "You absolutely may."
Marcel: “Let’s hope he’s not too heart broken.” Marcel teased before carefully leading her towards the dance floor, arms adjust their position before they danced along to the music. “This might be a touchy subject but, what’s your history?” He asked, picking his words carefully as he know this subject can be touchy to some vampires.
Lexi: "We can only pray." she added with a laugh, letting one hand entwine with his whilst the other rested on his shoulder. "My history?" she repeated, eyebrows raising. "I hope you're not asking my age. A lady has to have some mystery about her." she joked, looking up at him with a soft smile. "I've been a vampire for hundreds of years now...though I didn't know what I'd become. When I caught the plague an admirer of mine had asked if I wished to live forever, to care for my young brother. He was only a child, and our parents had died years before." she paused, a sadness in the blondes eyes as she tried to picture her brother. "All of a sudden I was cured...but I found that the sunlight began to burn my skin, and I craved something other than food." she paused, lost in the memories of her past.
Marcel: There was sympathy lingering Marcel’s eyes as he listened to her story, it must’ve been difficult for her with situations like that. “I’m sorry about what happened.” He said sincerely, it wouldn’t surprise him if most of vampires’ history are dark and emotional. “Sounds like we’re not that far off.” Marcel chuckled, attempting to lighten the mood between them. “Since you’ve shared, it’s only fair if I did too. I was raised by the Mikaelsons, Klaus took me in when I was just a little boy. Years later, he turned me. Everything was good until they ran and left me for dead in New Orleans.” There was a bitterness in his tone, he couldn’t possibly compare their history as everyone have their own darkness to deal with.
Lexi: “It’s all in the past.” she said gently, a sadness in her features as she thought of what had once been. The world was a very different place now however, and so was she. “The Mikaelsons again.” she murmured, deep in thought. “They seem to have a lot of chaos surrounding them, don’t they?” From what she’d heard from Rebekah it seemed as though it was mostly on Klaus behalf, but still. She would never insult someone’s side, no matter how the vampire felt about them.
Marcel: Marcel brows rose at her words, it would seems she had heard of them not long ago but then again — make sense as the Mikaelsons doesn’t exactly cloak themselves from attention, being the original vampires. “That’s an understatement, they’re the definition of destructive.” The male pointed it out, all those years Marcel had spend with them, there were the goods but the bad over rules them.
Lexi: She laughed slightly at his words, nodding her head. From what she'd heard, he was right about that. "And you being in town at the same time as them is simply a coincidence?" she asked, head tilting her head to the side with some curiosity.
Marcel: “Maybe.” Marcels mused, carefully as he twirled the other around before being her close towards him again. “I suppose we will never know, honestly though — wasn’t expecting them to be here.” The male admits, frowning as he wonders why the Mikaelsons are actually in town.
Lexi: She went into the movements with ease, swaying from side to side as she contemplated his words. "As long as they don't harm the people I love...then I'm happy to wait and see what they expect of this town."
Marcel: Knowing the Mikaelsons personally, he wasn’t sure what they would do but Marcel knew there would be casualties in whatever they’re planning. “Hopefully, since there are people that I care in this little town too.” Marcel admits, he would gladly take on the originals if it means to save his friends. It wasn’t long until the music finally came to an end, a smile lingering on his lips as he bowed at her. “Better let you go before your mystery date missed you.”
Lexi: As the music came to an end she smiled at her dance partner, moving to grasp the edge of her dress, curtsying with a laugh. "Thank you Marcel, for a lovely start to the evening."

Tyler & Bonnie: Continued from here.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
T
“It’s been on and off.” he shrugged. He definitely slept better but he didn't know when his dreams would return. “Not like it tells me when it’s going to fuck over my sleep.” he scoffed. “I’ll take you home, come on. Let’s get out of here before my mom asks us a hundred questions.”
B
Bonnie rubbed at her eyes, wiping the sleep from her eyes. She began gathering her boos and things, beginning to head out of his house. She gave his parents a wave goodbye ad headed to the car.
T
He was quick to get in the car with her and drive, it was late and there was barely any other cars on the road which led to him speeding up as he pleased. “You’re quiet.” he said and grinned, glancing at her sideways. “You can chill, Bon, we just napped, nothing more.” he added teasingly.
B
Bonnie turned to Tyler and sighed. "i know. You have the hots for aunt Jenna," She teased. "i just... I had a dream and it felt like another life and the person who was in it... It was Enzo,"
T
“Really?” he said in amusement. “Wet dreams about that old dude Caroline is hanging out with?” he scoffed. “Do you really think you have the right to tease me about Jenna?”
B
"They're not like that," Bonnie said. "it's weird and no one sees me like that, you know," she said honestly. Atleast to her. "Yes since you made out with her. You made out with your baby sitter," She teased.
T
"No one sees you like what?" he said looking confused before he rolled his eyes. "What can I say, she's hot and willing." he added, keeping his eyes on the road but a smirk playing on his lips.
B
"No one is interested in me that way. It's either Elena or Caroline," She said. It was true. Most of the time if any guy paid her any attention, it was because of Elena or Caroline. "Dude, gross. She's an older woman. Not a teenage girl,"
T
"That's not true. You are hot as hell, Bon. Trust me, a lot of guys think so." he said with a shrug. "Don't be so judgey." she added defensively. "And she's not like that old so get over it."
B
"You say everyone's hot," She said. "I'm not being judgey... she's not for the games teenage boys do. She's a woman is what I mean... She's not gonna fall for the lame moves you have,"
T
"Not true. I have very high standards." he grinned. "Just take the damn compliment." He rolled his eyes as the other continued to talk about Jenna. "I am not playing games with her, she's just fun to be around. And for the record, my moves are not lame."
B
"Sure," She said with a playful roll of her eyes. She looked at Tyler as he defended his relationship with Jenna. "Don't let Jeremy know or else you're dead," Bonnie said, playing her hand on Tyler's cheek playfully to pinch it, not knowing her magic was going to react and cause him pain.
T
"I don't care what you think about my standards but you should know you're deserve better than thinking you're second best to some other chicks." he said with a small smile on his lips. "I am not going around telling people about my sex life, apparently this town has nothing better to gossip about. They--" A small yelp left his lips as she touched him and he turned to her with confusion evident on his features. "What the hell?"
B
Bonnie smiled honestly at Tyler's words. "Thanks," She said. She gasped. "Did you and Jenna... dude," Bonnie heard him yelp and she looked at him confused. "What?" She didn't realize she had hurt him. "What's wrong?" She asked as she tried touching him again.
T
He didn't understand what was happening and he was beginning to freak out. "Don't do that!" It was scary how her touch was hurting him, and this time it was worse than the last, his head beginning to spin. "Bonnie what the fuck is going on?" he yelled, losing control of the car.
B
Bonnie panicked. She didn't know what she had done or how to stop it. But it was too late and the car was losing control. She tried to grab for the wheel but it was no use. She felt the car hit the tree and the seat belt tugged her skin.
T
He was trying to gain control of the car again but he could not -- whatever Bonnie had done, unintentionally as it was, affected him in ways he didn't understand and the pain he felt was literally blinding. The last he knew was hitting a tree before darkness consumed him.

CAROLINE & KATHERINE// AN UNEXPECTED VISIT
Tumblr media
In which after an exhausting evening Caroline finds herself in the company of a friend...or so she thought.
Caroline: It was late, late enough that Caroline had asked Enzo to take her home. He’d been insanely protective after the incident in the gardens, her ramblings of vampires and blood slipping from her lips without her consent. The blonde had thought Enzo was going to call her crazy, but he said nothing, simply sticking by her side the rest of the evening. It had been lucky for her that earlier she’d had the chance to have fun, chatting with friends and even sharing a dance with Stefan Salvatore, a dance that had possibly opened up the opportunity for him to be her partner for Miss Mystic Falls pageant. But the rest of the evening had been a bore, with Enzo not leaving her side, all the way until arriving back at her home. "Enzo I'm fine." she insisted to the man, and after a soft spoken exchange beneath the two he left, leaving the girl to turn and unlock the door to her home.
Katherine: Katherine had seen all that had gone on between the blonde and Stefan that night and it was clear that her patience had been tested. Deep down, Katherine felt hurt but she was unable to decipher such an emotion, especially one she rarely embraced. She had seen the way Stefan had looked at her, and it sent anger pulsating through her, so much so that the brunette had followed the blonde home. It was madness but with her anger this high, only the worst could happen. Her idea was to pretend to be Elena, for her to be able to take down Elena and Caroline at the same time, well that would be a miracle. Approaching the blonde, Katherine shouted her name. "Care-- wait.' She pretended to hurry down the path. "You dropped your purse at the ball." She had sneakingly taken it from the blonde, knowing she was not paying attention. She handed it back, smiling beamimgly like Elena would. "I didn't want you to panic about it.'
Caroline: Caroline turned at the sound of her best friends voice, a confused smile on her lips. She’d been pretty sure Elena had been wearing a different dress earlier...but perhaps the mask had skewed her vision slightly. “Elena, hey.” before she could even ask why the brunette was there she was explaining herself, and Caroline couldn’t help but smile softly at the other girl. Elena was always so caring...leaving the dance to come give her back her belongings instead of just texting her was just something only Elena would do. “Thanks - I must of dropped it at some point.” The night had been so frantic that Caroline hadn’t even noticed the missing belonging, though she was grateful for it now. “Did you want to come in? Your feet must be killing you in those heels, I know mine are.”
Katherine: She saw the blondes confused expression, though it appeared to settle almost instantly. It appeared too easy to convince people she was Elena, all because she was typically bland and whiney, making Katherine rather amused. The blonde made it too easy, especially with the instant invite inside, knowing that was something she would come to regret. Though she would not fret, especially with an easier way of sorting her problem. "Of course, thanks." She smiled, stepping inside with the other female, biting her lip and straightening out her dress. "What a lovely home." She chanted, tilting her head slightly. "You know--- it feels like someone died in here..." She commented, turning a stern gaze to Caroline.
Caroline: Leading the way inside Caroline's frame slumped slightly as she sighed in relief, happy to be home. Elena's words were strange, causing the blonde to frown in confusion. Elena's words were strange, especially considering that Elena had been there hundreds of times before. Her next words however had Caroline's lips parted in obvious confusion. "That's....seriously morbid Elena. No ones died in here."
Katherine: She could not help but find this all rather amusing, how easy it had all become. She did not need to even try, and she was already in Caroline's home. The girl clearly had no awareness, she was clearly naive to what was around her. "Oh have they not?" Katherine faked a puzzled face, "I could have sworn--- oh wait! Right yes!" She sighed, faking realization. "I remember, you died here!" She nodded her head, stepping forwards, hands entwining around her neck, and SNAP. She watched as the girls body fell to the ground, dusting off her hands, stepping out of her home and leaving swiftly.
