baffled by the design choice to not include a proper blurb anywhere on a book and instead opt for a bunch of quotes from authors that all say more or less the same thing
#my trade paperback copy of she who became the sun arrived which is very exciting bc i’ve been anticipating it since early last year#but there is nary an actual blurb in sight#like i already know what this specific book is about. i wouldn’t have bought it otherwise. but it’s such a bad marketing choice#most people don’t keep up with book publishing they just walk into a bookstore/library and peruse the shelves#and what are u supposed to do if the blurb tells u nothing? stop to google it?? absolutely not <3#i mean i keep up with new releases so i often know what books are about months before they hit the shelves#but if i come across a book that i hadn’t heard of and the back doesn’t tell me What It’s About i’m simply putting it back on the shelf lol
