The smell of death and decay was always so beautiful these days. All it took was one little dead body and BOOM! Just like that, thousands gone. It was honestly like music to his ears. And the next one certainly would be quite the show.

He was grinning now, setting up yet another bomb. Sending it off with one Sam Porter Bridges would just be the icing on the damn cake. Sammy boy wouldn’t even know what hit him when he brought the bomb straight to the people he was trying to help! Some hero.

He was about to get changed from the damn Bridges uniform when he heard a door open from the packing area. Taking a breath, he pulled his hat down carefully to continue to hide his face. “Oh! You’re here! Just in time for my break!” Honestly, he didn’t know who had entered, he just knew that someone had. Bridges or not, he still had to play the part while there were cameras all around.

Higgs hissed, lifting the woman off the ground with ease. As if by invisible strings she was floating there. He glared at her, drawing her in and wrapping his hand around her neck. “You’re in the way,” he said, “Your only use is becoming food for the slaughter…” Cries were heard and below her feet out of the black tar that formed. Human-like figures reached out for her, grabbing at her feet.

He grinned at her. “I think they’re hungry….Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t let them feast?” It would cause another voidout. That was what he wanted. To turn everything on its head. She was just giving him an opening to do just that.
