whoever this was thank you so damn much this is the best ask ever because it made me actually rethink all my muri lore choices and choose a final path for muritaka in her story. ALSO i just rlly love talking abt them theyre my fave straighties💗
also! sorry for the wip, i didnt have any ideas for what to draw 4 this ask (i mean i DID, but it lead to an muritaka doodlepage and i think thats better as a post by itself, so keep an eye out!!!!)
ok yapping ahead:
Muri's love for Taka started just as a simple celebrity crush, maybe a bit "obsessive" since you know, crazy music stans. But when she properly met him she only felt attracted to him by his fame, money and because, well, its Taka from Hightide Era!!
As for Taka, when he met Muri he didn't take their relationship (and Muri) really seriously, he only liked her because of her good looks and because she gave him the praise he so likes.. just as literally any other fan would. He saw it as a relationship that wouldn't last long and was just for fun, just as the ones hes had before... which lead him to do bad stuff that hurted Muri a lot.
But Muri started to ACTUALLY develop feelings for Taka as a person, not as a celebrity not as just some popular guy, but for who he actually was. It took more time for Taka to properly notice that though, to notice how much he really loves her, shit it took him a whole ass breakup. (but thats a story for later)
Muri loves Taka more than anything, and Taka loves Muri more than anything aswell! Tho as it might seem that Muri ONLY uses him for money and fame, she really does like him (just about as much as she likes money!) ... soo his money is like a really good plus.
As for her motives, she uses his money to get her plans done.. but Taka doesn't really know what shes planning or doing.. he just lets his girlfriend do her evil doings without questioning, and I think thats sweet 💗

el questione: how does Spyke feel about his sister dating that damp wretched green thing
Spyke really dislikes him, he tried to convince muri into leaving him after she had bad experience with Taka the time they got together again but shes too blind to notice so he just lets her be. He knows he can't rlly do anything at this point.
(i don't think i ever mentioned that Muri and Taka brokeup once and then cameback together because Taka begged her to do so and she never lost her feelings for him at all... so yeah)
He likes that Muri uses Taka's money herself tho, thats prolly the only thing Spyke likes abt him, his wealth.
As for Taka, he tries REAAALLLY hard to impress Spyke because he thinks Spyke is cool.

Question regarding Muritaka that's weirdly specific but won't leave my head: could Taka lift Muri with both arms, and could she lift him in the same manner? It doesn't look like there's much of a size difference between them, so theoretically, who could carry who bridal style, if posing for a picture or something?
DWW LOVED DRAWING THIS ASK SO MUCHH.. Taka's height (in my hc) is 182cm / 6"0 while Muri is 161cm / 5"2 (with her heels, w/o them shes 158 cm tall) Taka can pretty much lift her without any effort because shes rlly small and doesn't weight a lot, more than an inkling but not a lot. So he def likes to lift her up by surprise to fluster her.. or for a picture like u said!
As for Muri... she may be small aand a bit weak BUT! she can lift Taka aswell. Muri while not being rlly strong physically, she can lift him up without a loooottt effort
Mostly for the comedic relief ig, i find it funny.

surprisingly i never talked abt muri CHILDHOOD infant lore like. ever.
she doesnt know her real parents she was adopted by a urchin fisherman back in her small town (the same one spykes from) :) he owns a (super) sea snail farm, thats from where most of the snails she sells come from!
But him being a single guy with NO PLANS OF HAVING A FAMILY, raising a daughter was reaally hard, so Spyke also took (maybe even a bigger role) at raising her being practically her older brother

WAAHAHGHHHH I DONT HAVE TIME TO DOODLE THI SI'M SO SORRY def will later this is such a cute ask.. i believe muri would LOVE roller coasters buut she has a pretty weak stomach / dizzyness resistance.. so whenever she goes with spyke and murch (or other) shes the one that comes out the WORST from the ride even though she was the one that asked to try it LOL
If not, she would love those boat slash cart rides... (supposing wahoo world has one like most amusement parks do!!)
