Todays Topic: Aaron (Mystreet)

I have already talked about Aaron in MCD in another post, but Aaron in MyStreet is objectively worse. This is my personal opinion but I feel like some might agree with me when I say, MyStreet was bad. Don't get me wrong I love MyStreet with my whole heart but it was bad and it's definitely not my favorite. MyStreet could have been a lot better, the main problem with it was Aarmau. Season 1 of MyStreet came out halfway through season 2 of Diaries, and MS came out BEFORE Phoenix Drop High. Season 1 of MyStreet seemed to begin as just a silly little side story series with silly shenanigans. But then it became more Aarmau propaganda for MCD, a way to get fans to think Diaries Aaron and Aphmau would be a good couple. The whole series probably wasn't going to go on for as long as it did and in an 'Everything Wrong With Mystreet' video Jason even says that they were running out of ideas by season 3 and had no idea what to do after it. Mystreet became centered around Aaron and Aphmau's relationship, even the characters would focus on them, trying to get them to be together or even shipping them together. And then it just never stopped. MyStreet only ever centered around them. Love~Love Paradise focused on Aaron and Aphmau being more coupley and Aaron getting closer to the rest of the cast. Lovers Lane was just about how their friends became suspicious of Aphmau's relationship with Zane and even Gene and were warning Aaron about it and that led to their break up, but then in the finale they got back together. Emerald Secret was about Aaron being the Ultima and his love for Aphmau kept him going. Starlight was about them being reunited and then their engagement. Every single season has been centered around them. It being centered around their relationship was probably also why season 6 felt so out of place. It focused more on Diaries than Aarmau. I feel like if they were more of slow burn the series could have been better. Or if it had focused on other characters more. Or even if it had a completely different plot. Most of the characters develop solely because of Aphmau or even just because of her and Aaron's relationship and I feel like that isn't fair to the characters. Now for the Omegaverse stuff. I could care less about it, include it or don't, I probably would have been fine with it either way. What I didn't like was that when Aaron became a werewolf he became this "uwu soft boi" and he is a COMPLETELY different character than he was from season 1 of mystreet and even pdh. Season 1 Aaron was cool. He could've put on a shirt and maybe talked more but I thought he was cool. Bring back that Aaron. Anyways PDH Aaron talk is next. Sry this is so long!
