Crashing

A little update about strider racing. So we as a house hold have been sick off and on since December. My LO was healthy for about a week (if that) and right back at it only its a nasty nasty cough. So last month and this month we have not been to any Strider Practices or Races. 😢

We are almost all health again. Little dude still has a bit of a cough but not as bad as it was. 

This last weekend and week we have been letting him ride his ATV. He is getting more comfortable and cruising still needs to work on a steady throttle. He actually has been really into riding.

Well we finally had are first Crash on the ATV. So the little dude is going around the track. I stood in the same spot I always do to watch and listen for him. Near me is a corner that is after this big hill (well to him). With each lap he seemed to be going faster and take the corner tighter. I even had him stop and we talked about not taking that corner so tight. Well little man is as hard headed as his parents 😜. Sure enough a few laps in he starts cutting it tight. Well needles to say he took the corner a little to tight and got stuck. I couldn’t see him at this point just heard him get stuck and walked to him to help pull the ATV out. As I round the corner there is the little turd trying with all his might to ride it out. Hahaha all I could do was giggle as he does exactly what his father or I would of done (which he has seen us do a million times and is likely why he thought he could). Next thing I know I see his ATV leaning and him leaning trying to keep the beast on all four wheels. As you can guess ATV wins!! ATV ends up on its side laying on its two wheels and Little Wolfe ends up on the ground. Of course he was upset and cried a little and wanted MR.B. So he gets up, we wipe off the dirt and mud, flip the ATV back on to all 4 tires and go find his stuffed animal. He was done lol poor dude was wet (come to find out his socks and boots had been soaked), tired, and his ego was a little hurt. He was ready to go in but he did go get his bike and bring it back to the shop. The dude was even ready to wash it (I sometimes think its favorite part). So Saturday the hubs brother has a race (hubs ATV is currently in pieces as he is rebuilding his engine for this coming QuadCross season), so we have been going back and forth on the idea of him racing his first ever race this weekend. 🤔 He will at least be doing the kids track (it is a flat track that is not to big) since we will be there most of the day.
