I mean...

But yeah! Matt and Julio!! I love them they are my football parents and deserve the world. Probably my OTP for the nfl fandom. I enjoy their dynamic a lot, something about knowing another person for years of your life and forming a kind of connection there, through the highs and lows... it hits. As someone else said, they're both kinda similar in that they're fairly reserved, and while opposites attract is pretty good, sometimes it's nice to see two people who just know each other well and are (usually) comfortable in their skin with the other. Idk! I think it's neat, I feel like they would have a very stable and loving relationship 👍 the issue wouldn't be in the relationship but more when they take that next step.

If I write about them again I would probably explore a different dynamic than Julio being in unrequited love; it's kinda unfair, like yes, the repression hits hard but also what about Matt being in love with his beautiful and talented wide receiver who seems so closed off to the rest of the world and out of his league... I've been kinda fiddling with the idea of friends with benefits, like the premise of fucking your teammate who you may or may not like because they're there and you want to let off steam, or if it's something else. Cue the inevitable internal turmoil of having feelings, though I get the vibe that Matt would be earnest and honest with those emotions which probably reduces the conflict.

This is reminding me I need to go back to look at some stuff I've written about them...
