Was ein cooler Tag. Ich weiß garnicht, wo ich anfangen soll, denn die Tour war wunderbar und wir hatten 4 klasse Stopps.
1. Das kleine Café Rolle rückwärts in Uslar. -> Jürgen, der super freundlicher Besitzer mit seiner Mutter.
2. Kaffeelino in Sollingstraße 56, 37186 Moringen -> super schnuckelig mit kurzer Kaffee Röst Führung.
3. Beach Club Northeim bei den Seeterrasen. -> direkt am Baggersee, mit leckeren Esssen
4. Fleischerei Daniel Otte in Schönhagen, bei dem es die leckere, luftgetrocknete Mettwurst gibt. Dort haben wir 10 Stück bestellt und mitgenommen. -> Das war schräg -> Führung durch die Metzgerei. Sehr cool. ✌️
-> Die Weserfähre Oedelsheim, war die kleinste Fähre, die wir hier jemals gefahren sind. Auch klasse, denn mit unseren 9 Motorrädern war die Fähre voll.
Am Ende hatten wir im Grillpavillon einen entspannten Abend. Ich bin

Am Ende hatte Rolf noch eine kurze Zusammenfassung der letzten 10 Jahre Weserbergland Tour mit allen Teilnehmern und Hotels gezeigt. Wow, Danke. 😍

One of the most "funniest" things about history of the third Reich for me will always be the Röhm-Coup, also known as "the night of the long knives".
Were openly gay SA Leader Ernst Röhm was arrested in 1934 and killed quickly after that. He and many more of his higher ranking leaders, also some lower ranking ones, we know there were 90 people killed, probably many more. Most of them were homosexual and its believed that a few died because of mix-ups.
Now, where they killed because they were homosexual? Not really (even though Himmler, Reichsidiot and leader of the SS firmly believed that homosexuals tried to "infiltrate" the german state and weaken it), but because Röhm wanted the SA to become something bigger: the new army.
Hitler obvioulsy didnt like that, since the SA was also widely known as troublemakers which wasnt the sort of press they wanted.
But you know what? Among those people that were killed were also people that hadnt even reached legal adulthood yet (during that times it was 21 years old).
Erich Schiewek was just 20 years old and, among three others, was shoot in a concentration camp, the other inmates were forced to watch.
Under the cut, some try to form my feelings in words and some information about german resistance.
Why did I make this post? To hopefully show that not everything is black and white, the Third Reich did not only kill Jews and foreigners. They also killed Germans. The people the nazis claimed to love above all else. German gays, german communists, german christians, Jehovas witnesses, people who were deemed "lazy", everyone who was in any way against them...
There was a youth concentration camp in Moringen. The ages ranged from 13 to 22.
13 year old kids. German kids during a time were other Germans did horrible crimes, but still: kids. Some just wanted to listen to swing music and dress how they like. Some were in the Hitler youth and realised what a bunch of crap was going on in Germany. Some, like Hans and Sophie Scholl were even leaders in the Hitler youth (however we all know they didn’t end up in a camp, they were beheaded).
One 17 year old beheaded for being in the german resistance. Helmuth Hübener. He was the youngest, but not the only one to die.
Three of those „Vierergruppen“, groups of four, happened at the same time without knowing about each other: one in Munich, Hamburg and Vienna.
In Munich it was Walter Klingenbeck, he was 19 when he was killed by the nazis. He was arrested because his superior called the Gestapo. His friends were also sentenced to death but he took the blame, so they "only" had to serve 8 years in prison.
In Vienna it was Josef Landgraf, sentenced to death but he was pardoned, had to stay in prison until 1945, and died in 2018. He was arrested because someone from his school called the Gestapo.
There were not only monsters in nazi germany. But there were enough monsters for everything, the Shoa, the Porajmos, the war and its millions and millions of dead, to happen.

KÄTHE LATZKE // POLITICAL ACTIVIST
“She was a German political activist (KPD) who resisted Nazism and spent most of her final twelve years in state detention. In 1924, she was arrested and sentenced to a month in prison for taking part in an unauthorised Demonstration. And once again, she was arrested, along with other members of the former "Westermann Group" overnight, and served two years at Lübeck detention facility. After the two years had been spent, she was held for several more years in "protective detention" on the other side of the country, at the Moringen concentration camp. She was arrested for the final time in 1943, and was transferred to Ravensbruck concentration camp in 1944 where she died.”

Lotte Hahm
Lotte Hahm was a one of the most visible lesbian activists active in Weimar Germany and owner of several bars.1 She was the owner of the Violetta club advertised in Die Freundin. in 1928, she joined forces with Fredreich Radszuweit’s BfM (Bund für Menschenrecht or Federation for Human Rights).2 Other well-known figures had also joined this group, including Selli Engler. Hahm strongly identified with transvestites and lesbians, forming a group for male and female transvestites in 1929.3 By 1931, she had BfM and opened a new club called Manuela.4 She was arrested in 1933 after the father of her girlfriend denounced her.5 She was held in the Moringen concentration camp until 1938.6 Upon her release, she remained active in the gay scene, opening another club.7

“She was a German resistance activist during the Nazi years. From 1921, she was a member of the Young Friends of Nature and a few years later, also of the Young Communists. Early in 1933, she began working “underground” for the Communist Party, and in Nov 1933, she was arrested. She was sentenced to two and a half years in prison at the Moringen concentration camp. She was amnestied by Heinrich Himmler in 1938 due to being blonde, and in response, promptly dyed her hair black to signal rejection of Nazi policies. She was betrayed in May 1944 and arrested in Stuttgart. She was tortured for a month, and was eventually executed at the Dachau concentration camp in Nov 1944.”

Mit Dietrich Bonhoeffer wurden die Offiziere Hans Oster, Wilhelm Canaris und Ludwig Gehre ermordet, die Juristen Karl Sack und Theodor Strünck. Im KZ Dachau wurde Georg Elser ermordet. Im KZ Sachsenhausen bei Berlin wurde der Jurist Hans von Dohnanyi getötet. #heutevor75jahren wurde das Jugend KZ Moringen befreit.
