In TWQ were the Lyddens intended to serve as foils to the Frey's and Boltons as bannermen who rebel against their liege lord? Only unlike those two Mordryd has good cause to hate the Lannisters and is motivated not by ambition and pettiness but by genuine grievances. Also the Lannisters are no where near as popular as the Starks and Tully's so the Lyddens will have a much easier time.
... sorta? Feudalism is always cutthroat. Tywin destroyed the Reynes and Tarbecks, but he disregarded the fact that it could come back to haunt him. Mordryd was no one, just a third son, a boy of 13, yet when his moment came, he helped wreak the ruin of House Lannister.
When you sow cruelty and death, you will always reap the consequences someday down the road

Feast? Food?
Feast:
Lord Mordryd Lydden, the new Lord of Casterly Rock, greeted King Aegon with the most pomp Jon had ever seen. Dinner was a lavish feast inside the Great Hall; seemingly endless platters of fish and crabs and mussels made the tables groan, and both wine and ale flowed freely.
Food:
"Those who survive the road." Toregg shook his head, his eyes distant. "Me mother... she tried to take me south, once, when I were a wee small lad. Father had gone hunting, and most of his men had gone with him. Mother packed up all the food she could carry, bundled me in furs, and slipped away the next morning before dawn."
