Jegulus confuses the heck out of me!! why would James choose regulus when Sirius is right there? I read a few coz it was a james ship and noticed that wolfstar was almost a constant in every fic. They also make Sirius so unlikeable in wolfstar and jegulus rice just to whitewash Remus and Regulus. “Poor reggie forced into doing bad things coz Sirius ran away!Poor gentle sweater chocolate boy remus.” .Book remus is way better character than the whitewashed holy mary mess in fanon.
there, there, anon. things will get better, i promise.
i—can’t say anything about ‘why would james choose reg’ bc i’ve read some downright ridiculous pairings but i do agree that it baffles the heck out of me lol. i think i’ve mentioned this before but one of my biggest issues is how what little we know of regulus is often completely overhauled just to make jegulus work. and if u need to do that, then, well…
and even that is fine, okay, whatever, but he ends up becoming this sirius-lite character (often at the cost of sirius himself) so often and it’s really, really frustrating. i think everyone knows by now how obsessed i am w james and sirius’ dynamic—to see it being undermined? that’s one thing i absolutely cannot deal with and it happens a lot in this ship. of course, the wolfstar guarantee just makes me even more wary of it.
i’ve tried so many times to read it because, james ykno, but there’s always something about it that turns me off :///
