Before Lime knows about Mochi being a witch he kept having these weird moments where Mochi would stop dead in the middle of the street on their way to school, tell him to shush, there’d be this weird humming sound or whatever, she’d turn on a dime and run into some sketch alley, and then a few minutes later she’d come out with jars with weird bugs/plants/liquids in them and he’d just have to help her put them in her backpack. He was starting to think that he could straight up hear Mochi’s weird sixth sense for locating weird shit. Things made a lot more sense when he learned of the Merchant.

GOD SO TRUE THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!! honestly the best part would be that limes protective ass would never let her just sprint down some fucking dark alley by herself and would run after her

but obviously she cant have lime around while trying to buy things from the merchant, so she spends an extra 20 minutes sprinting around the winding alleys trying to ditch lime

eventually she loses him, lime shows up to school 30 minutes late, mochi shows up to school an hour late full of weird shit, and limes like "????? what the fuck??? where did you run off to????" and she just stands there for a second before making up some bullshit. "What? I was looking for you, where did you go???" "HUH?!?!?"
