Mr. Nygma, do you know where I can find a good chicken pot pie recipe?
"Only on the forums of my favorite website, of course!”

“Crane. To what do I owe this visit?”
Fingers collide tenderly with the chipping doorframe and he facilitates natural decomposition by scraping his nails across damaged wood. “I’ve heard business with a smile livens the workplace.”

Having lost Penguin while in a crowd of people, the boy couldn’t help but panic. Where is the man? Or any of Penguin’s henchpeople? Body guards- where was everyone?? All he saw were strangers, and having no voice, he couldn’t get the attention of anyone.
No one paid any mind to orphans, even if one was taken under the wing of Penguin. ..So, he would have to do this on his own. Sort of, anyways. He’ll go to the police, see if they can help him- or just be his voice on the phone. A call to Penguin was all was needed.
Off he went, to the GCPD- and on his way in, he bumped right into a red head who was about to leave the building.

maybe she won’t notice. he always tries to hide it from her because it’s easier. she’s rude to him, despicable, needs to be put in her place. ed could never do what he can to her, could never make her get in LINE even after giving him the confidence to ask her on dates. he wants to tell her the truth about the murder, ed does, but HE can’t allow that, not yet, not while she’s such a finicky sort of girl who won’t even bend when told.
❛ i feel like it’s been ages since we’ve been on a proper date, you know. being at work & seeing each other isn’t that romantic. ❜
the sly smile slides across his lips, the one that ed cannot produce because he looks ridiculous when trying. but HE . . . he can do so much more than ed can. & he likes it whenever he gets to be the one to have kristen kringle in his grasps. because he has CONFIDENCE, the sort that this girl can’t seem to get enough of. maybe she’ll notice the difference, she’s a smart girl. but she’s also STUPID.

A Night To Remember
@misskringle
Living on the same street as someone made it kind of easy to get to know them.. especially if the neighbours were as warm and friendly as Nora. Plus, Victor made sure most people on the street know or were able to check in on his wife during days he can not in case the poor thing needed to be rushed to the hospital. So.. everyone was fairly connected with the Fries. Even people who weren’t exactly neighbours, but were still on the street.. Such as Kristen. She and Nora got along swimmingly, and more than once had each other over. [Mainly at Nora’s due to her health.] Nora was someone who was always there to listen when Kristen needed to talk, to vent, to get something off her chest.. and these days, it seemed to be more loneliness than anything. The jerk who was with her before had left, which was really a blessing but the poor woman was still ever so lonely.
And so, Nora decided to fix that. Her health was on one of those rare upturn spirals and she eagerly got planning a double date for her and Kristen. There was this nice restaurant she and Victor often went to when they were able, and after paying a few visit to Kristen’s work.. Nora found a partner in crime to help her set up this double date. Her health ruined her lunch plans with Kristen that day, but she at least found Lee and a young man who seemed quite keen in the red head.
All together they planned the date, the man would show up at the restaurant and Victor would bring both girls.

“I think .... I’m going to have to cut you off after this one.” Lucius grins as he hands back her plate, filled once more with a VERY large stuffed pasta shell. He’ll leave, briefly and then join her in the bed once more, bringing with another bottle of wine. Setting it on the nightstand, he settles back cozily next to her, letting out a contented noise.
“Satisfactory Christmas so far?” It was late in the holiday, the sunlight gone from the windows, soft snow piling up along the windowsill. Most of Christmas Eve had been spent filling and baking the giant stuffed shells, and then they’d retired early ... to bed. Never had gotten around to that traditional walk but ... what they’d filled the evening and morning with instead, he much preferred.

“What, you don’t have a cold case file for me, Miss Kringle?” The hitman’s smile sweeps, and a hand is placed in his heart in mock hurt.
“Ouch.....” His hand drops, and Victor leans in, mindless of what personal space is. “What about one of those tasty snacks in your desk?”

[ plotted thread with @misskringle ]
Lunchtime at the GCPD could get a tad chaotic. There was no proper cafeteria set up, meaning that the cops ate at their desks if they happened to be in the precinct. As the medical examiner Lee didn’t feel comfortable doing the same-- it felt disrespectful to her dead patients, so she had taken to visiting her friend in the file room almost every day around noon to eat with her, save for the occasional lunch she’d spend with Jim.
That day was no different, except that it was; she gave Kristen a smile as soon as she walked into her work space, but it was more subdued than Lee’s usual cheery demeanor. The doctor sat down, picking at her pasta with a fork instead of eating it. If that wasn’t enough of an indication that something wasn’t right, the frustrated sigh she let out made it crystal clear. “Did you hear what was happening, with the boy?”, she finally asked, a serious look on her face.

“ HE ASKED FOR TROUBLE THE MOMENT HE CAME BACK. i don’t KNOW where he is , kristen. last i heard , he was the MAIN attraction at penguin’s lounge. if i knew , you’d be the FIRST to know about it. --- people just can’t seem to STAY DEAD in this town. ” spare a suspicious glance towards the PREVIOUS record keeper. @misskringle // liked.
