The good citizens of Alabama did not seem all that bothered when a 5-month pregnant black woman - who miscarried because she was shot in the stomach during an altercation in a bar – was herself charged with manslaughter for the death of her fetus. However, in the face of the outrage at this gross miscarriage of justice from the rest of the world, prosecutors wisely dropped the charges.
