You gotta love a breakaway finish, especially when GC hangs in the balance! In a large breakaway during the final stage of the Tour de Normandie Féminin, Mie Bjørndal Ottestad (Uno-X) narrowly missed taking the stage victory but won the general classification, moving previous GC leader Ellen van Dijk (Lidl-Trek) down to third. The final stage winner, Josie Nelson (Team dsm-firmenich PostNL) finished in second on GC.

A late attack with just over 1km to go was caught by the line. The 45 year old Vibeke Lystad thought she'd won the sprint but celebrated a touch too early. Mie Bjørndal Ottestad had a better bike throw and just pipped her fellow Norwegian right on the finish line to become Norwegian National Champion for 2020.
