me and dehya are fine and still happily together <3 the Fatui? they're quite the interesting sort, as I've heard there's many eccentric and dangerous people in such an organization....
dehya often frets about 'the northerners' hogging the eremites' turf in the desert, to which I'm inclined to believe that perhaps they seek to unearth the secrets of the sands. truly a fascinating group, they are.

You were the sun. Always impossibly far away, and perhaps even more so now. I would often find your radiance overbearing, and annoying to an extent. I wore wide-brimmed hats and veils that blinded me, and overshadowed me from what you brought into my life.
While I watch you get swept away into the horizon with fleeting clouds to the destinies of tomorrow, it is only then do I take one good look at you for the last time as you gladly join the mountains of sand far away, and no longer the riverbanks of lotuses you gazed over with me.
In your wake, the sky is an otherworldly golden red. It is every shade of the Mourning Flowers of Deshret. I helplessly watch you fade further away, wishing that I could somehow catch a lingering ray of your light and encase it where my heart should be. (You find two casettes, one of them is labelled 'now', and the other 'then'. You play the first one. The recording is one of a person. You can't see their face, but you can hear them and see the camera hanging from their neck. The camera... is weird because it looks like the usual one you'll find in Tevyat, yet something about it is... different.
"Well, dear player!" The person in the video starts talking, "You've caused quite the mess, didn't you... It's not your fault per se, no."
By the movement of their hair, you assume they just shook their head, "But... your actions have consequences. The universe will always be affected by your actions. Won't you have a look, hm?"
The recording ends here, leaving you with even more questions than you had before. You play the second casette.)
"...I don't know who you are talking about, I'm sorry."
The little god spoke and the empty space in his chest suddenly filled out with fear. With a feeling so genuine, one he hadn't feel for so long.
Just yesterday morning be talked with you. You smiled at him when he helped you although begrudgingly, you gave him a deadpan stare when he said something mean and it almost made him laugh, the faint feeling of warmth appearing somewhere deep, deep inside his chest.
A few months ago he would think that maybe his body was just malfunctioningβ he wasn't a real human after all. Merely a puppet tossed between people and gods. But now, he found a name for it.
It was a shame he never said it outloud. Never dared to, the... feeling, as he called it, burried underneath all the mechanical parts that someone dared to push inside him.
And when he finally, finally digged it out and let the faint light of it warm him and was ready to show to youβ
You were gone. Forgotten just how once he was, not remembered by anyone but him and nowhere to be found again.
Life has betrayed him so many times now, locking his non-existing heart in a cage and throwing away the keys into the depths and when he finally found them out, fought his way in the deep waters and emerged with the keys in his hand, clutching them hard till his knuckles turned white, it... happened again. And this time, there was no way he could find the key again.
Life played a cruel joke on him again and took you away from him before he could say anything. How did it happen even? People forgot about him because he messed himself with the Irminsul, but you?
Why? How? Why he couldn't find a single answer?
The little god looked at him sadly, as if a part of her somehow understood his pain and reached out her hand to hold his.
He let her do it.
