*) 'Volcano Pair' is actually a ship/duo name for them since APH OC🇮🇩 era, the reason why they're called volcano pair is because they're known for their active volcanoes and to reference their 2010 iconic eruptions of Eyjafjallajökull and Merapi. They're starting off as just-for-fun crackship but Hima-sensei actually make them meet and interacted for real, childhood me is screaming.

I thought if Indo and Ice ever interacted in HWS it'll be about their volcanoes because that's the main similarities (trying to make the crackship actually make sense lol) but Hima-sensei actually proofed they could interact without talking about the 'obvious', i'm in awe. Still, got me shocked Indo and Ice really interacted in the manga, it feels surreal, but i'm glad. I love them.

A few minutes ago I posted a video of Fuego in eruption. These scenes were taken on a group hike to and picnic at the top of the volcano in 2003. The first photo is the view from the edge of the crater while the third is a view of the cone from a distance. It was one of two occasions when I hiked to the crater of a periodically erupting and still active volcano. The first was to Mount Merapi on Java in Indonesia in the 1970s. This one in 2003 was more exciting though not particularly taxing. The rock atop the crater was still warm, the air was quite foul with sulfurous odors, and there were steam eruptions from the glowing crater. Fuego has erupted several times since 2003. The video was probably shot during quite dramatic eruptive events in 2018.

In my next incarnation I want to be a vulcanologist!

an amazing tragedy is happening on java island. mount merapi volcano in central java erupted on the island next to bali. clouding the sky in darkness, there were no affect on bali. but it did remind me of the time the volcano erupted on the caribbean island of montserrat some 26 years ago. i had recently been on montserrat and received a phone call from a magazine editor to quickly book a flight to st. kitts, a neighboring island. i chartered a small high wing plane and removed the window. i was able fly around the mountain in montserrat. the volcano was still spouting smoke and lava as we flew around. the pilot was cautious staying at a safe distance. i was able to photograph the long lava flow down the mountainside into the sea appearing like a tongue into the ocean. going to miss the opportunity to capture images on java. even the silhouette of mount agung on bali remains an active volcano. it is always backdropped by dramatic skies. don't forget to follow and live a great story! where the crossroads of digital art and interactive experiences converge to tell a new story.
