people are always splitting the trakand family dynamic into elayne vs. her brothers, but if you ask me it's actually more like
#this is absolutely the dynamic in the early series which is the only time we see all 3 of them together#but also in general gawyn's focal sibling relationship was elayne for 99% of the series not galad#people just misremember it as being galad bc galad was the one with him when he died#(and also bc of the general tendency to place more import on brother-brother relationships than brother-sister)#but galad was never a driving factor in gawyn's arc/character like elayne was#meanwhile on elayne's end her thoughts are always 'fuck galad all my homies hate galad. but gawyn has done nothing wrong ever in his life'#and she is correct on both counts!#elayne trakand#gawyn trakand#galad damodred#wot#wot book spoilers
