My relationship to my magic, to Matthew Roydon and to the Book of Life are woven together. One cannot exclude the other.

Watched the first episode of Discovery of Witches on hoopla. It seems good - love a BBC fantasy / drama - and I'm hard up for blorbos so I think I will continue. The one thing I am finding very amusing is that they could not have picked a more bland, mediocre looking man to play Matthew Clairemont. He's so average! And angular. Diana is very pretty though. And I like Marcus very much.

I love how in A Discovery of Witches, Matthew and Diana are so in love and protective and willing to do anything for one another and the rest of the characters are just like “Please Stop”

A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES, 2.01.

Diana had made it back to Elizabethan London, with Mattew. Despite Knox’s sudden intrusion, she had managed the impressive feat of traveling back over five hundred years in time. Even now when they arrived, the De Clairemont name meant they were never without good company or a place to sleep. Eventually, they made their way back to Sept-Tours. Where Philippe didn’t seem to approve of their union at first, though he gave in and threw a lavish wedding for them.

While Diana was still getting used to being mistress of Sept-Tours, she also made connections with a few powerful witches. None of which knew she was a weaver, she was careful to keep a secret.

She was supposed to meet with the others under the moonlight that evening, but she had been ill all morning into the afternoon hours. Nausea, unable to hold down her breakfast, nor her lunch. The servants whispered that she was unusually pale.  Still, she wouldn’t have anyone bother Matthew.

It was one of the servants who brought it to his attention.

The School of Night.... (yes, I´m reading Deborah Harkness´ books, yes I love Matthew Clairmont, yes it is completely historically inaccurate, yes, it is just for pleasure and I´m enjoying it, tremendously so) but what I´m enjoying more than the pure fun I´m having with the story is the questions that the books arise like I´m completely bewitched by Medieval French and the idea of the School of Night. Oh, the ideas! The research one must do! The fanfics one can create!

Avengers Infinity War - Tony gets stabbed by Thanos

The Rookie - Tim Bradford gets shot and still feels it in the next few episodes
