Is Odd Squad really over? Didn’t the producer retract that instagram post he made?
Yeah I am fairly confident that Odd Squad is over- at least as a live-action TV series.
As you can see on this post by Mark de Angelis (one of the main writers of the show), he gave a heartfelt goodbye and mentioned the 230 episodes shot. It is interesting that he mentions it bc he definitely didn’t write for all of those episodes. So him mentioning all of those episodes indicate to me that they aren’t planning on any more episodes (at the time)
And then below, you see a comment from Robby Hoffman (another writer on the show) saying that it’s the end of an era. Once again, this indicates that they seem to think that Odd Squad is over
And then I Mark De Angelis’s clarification statement saying that it’s not the “end” end of the show. And that might be true. Maybe the show will come back as an animated show or a mini spin off series of shorts (I’m currently thinking of Zoboomafoo/Wild Kratts and Fetch! With Ruff Ruffman as examples, respectively). But as of the release of that post, it seems like they had no plans of continuing to film Odd Squad. That post was released in 2020, and by now in 2022, everyone involved in the show seem to have moved on to different projects. And if they were planning on filming another season, then we should have heard about casting by now. Maybe we would have gotten more seasons of the show if there wasn’t a pandemic. Or maybe it was always meant to end with Mobile Unit. Who knows. But as of now, it seems like Odd Squad as we know it is over

Praja Gallipoli (Musicaeparole): l'1/7 arriva Jimmy Sax, per un'estate tra melodia e tanto ritmo
Ormai il calendario lo dice chiaramente e l'estate della Praja Gallipoli, discoteca simbolo del divertimento estivo italiano gestita da Musicaeparole, continua a far ballare anche a fine giugno 2023 dopo aver iniziato la sua stagione il 17 giugno con un super party che ha visto sul palco Federico Scavo al mixer e il violino di Mark Lanzetta... il locale ha risposto alla grande alla splendida musica proposta da questi due artisti. Anche il party di qualche notte fa con Francesca Brambilla e Fred De Palma, grandi protagonisti musicali dell'estate italiana...
Giovedì 29 giugno torna Giovedì del Villaggio, una delle feste più pop della Praja, mentre Big Mama, il venerdì della Praja, continua a battere forte il suo groove black (hip hop, r'n'b, reggaeton e dintorni) anche venerdì 30 giugno 2023. Sono due party già con conosciuti dagli appassionati, due must da non perdere.
Sabato 1 luglio ecco invece Jimmy Sax, un professionista della musica e del groove capace di far scatenare chiunque. Performer di livello internazionale, ha collezionato ben 1500 show nel mondo e diviso il palco addirittura con artisti come Earth Wind and Fire e David Guetta. Quando Jimmy Sax è sul palco, stare fermi è semplicemente impossibile. Non si esibisce solo in discoteca, anzi. Anche nei teatri, con uan formazione orchestrale, la sua Symphonic Dance Orchestra, stupisce ed emoziona. Su Youtube ha addirittura un milione di follower.
E che si balla a luglio e agosto, nell'estate 2023 alla Praja Gallipoli (Lecce), capitale musicale del Salento e del divertimento? Musicaeparole, che gestisce questa grande disco all'aperto che in luglio e agosto è aperta 7 sere su sette, sta comunicando via via la presenza, come capita del resto ogni anno di tanti top dj mondiali.

Il 12 agosto, dopo il concerto di Mara Sattei, torna il groove di Benny Benassi @ Popfest - People on Pleasure c/o Praja Gallipoli. Il 30 luglio c'è il pop scatenato di Irama, una vera star per chi ama la musica italiana. Il 27 luglio, ancora per Popfest, ecco Merk & Kremont, super dj italiani che producono tanti artisti tra cui quella di Sangiovanni ed Il Pagante. Ecco poi un dj set molto atteso per il 10 luglio: al mixer della Praja c'è Ale Basciano, che divide la console con un artista da sempre amico della Praja, Cristian Marchi.
E ancora: l'italiano Gabry Ponte è atteso il 26 luglio; Bob Sinclar, il re di Francia e del Salento, torna alla Praja il 3 agosto... ed è già stata annunciata mentre scriviamo anche la presenza di Steve Aoki, ovviamente per Popfest, il festival più internazionale della Praja Gallipoli. On the night of Saturday, May 22, 2021, the lives of four young Italians will change radically from that moment on. Members of the rock group Maneskin won the Eurovision Song Contest held in Rotterdam, Netherlands, in a stunning way and marked a new milestone in the competition. It's not very common for styles like theirs to become the most popular song in Europe, but they did with Zitti E Buon i.
And not a passing phenomenon, as happened to so many of the other artists participating in the festival, Maneskin has remained very much present in our lives ever since. The group has become a mass phenomenon , which has translated to the sheer number of hits that songs like 'I Wanna Be Your Slave' or their 'version of the classic Beggin' first performed by Frankie Valli and then Madcon .
This huge success is due to the efforts of all the members, although there is one person in particular who leads the band with his voice: Damiano David, the man who has stolen hearts all over the world in recent months. It's time to get to know Maneskin better!
1. He was born in 1999 in Rome. Therefore, we can consider him part of Generation Z, since he was just a kid when we changed the millennium. And although he came to the world in the Italian capital, the truth is that he spent his entire childhood traveling due to the jobs of his two parents: flight attendants.
2. He has an older brother. His name is Jacopo David and as we can see on his Instagram account (where he has over 18,000 followers) he is a fan of football in general and of AS Roma in particular. In addition, both have a great relationship with one of the team's most legendary former players, Francesco Totti, who has protected the Roma striker for many years.
3. In addition to music, he also tries his luck in sports. Exactly in basketball. The very young Damiano David was at the base of Eurobasket Roma and remained there until the age of 17, a fundamental pillar of his human development. Are you successful professionally in basketball as much as in music?
4. He met 2 of the other 3 members of Maneskin in high school... His high school was where he had his first contact with Victoria de Angelis and Thomas Raggi. Drummer Ethan Torchio would later join after seeing an ad in which the group was looking for a musician to play the instrument.
5. But he is about to be rejected as a singer. In the early project of a rock group led by Victoria, Damiano tried to be his main vocal, but his partner was not convinced by the sound being too "pop". The young man persisted and eventually found his niche in what eventually became Maneskin. After achieving this, the artist completely changed his style.

"You should perform." Victoria leant in close, her words carrying clearly over the pumping music.
You almost choked on your drink, spitting the straw out of your mouth. You turned to where she had scooted over to the edge of the couch. For a moment, the rest of the nightclub faded away and you were trapped in her gaze, a lump in your throat.
People had been staring at you ever since you had left the apartment with your four friends - but that was to be expected when you had painted the majority of your body blue. But this was instantly different, it was so much more intense than the gawks coming from strangers.

You placed your empty glass down and tore your eyes off of her face. In the same instant that you took his hand, you were pulled up onto your feet. She waved to you before you were yanked into his momentum, scampering along after him.
"Is this a terrible idea?" You asked, tugging on his arm to get his attention. You realised he was the wrong person to ask - in all the time that you had known him, he had never ruled anything a bad idea.
"What, are you kidding? This is the best idea ever, this is going to be so iconic."
"Hey." Thomas greeted you with a smile. "They have room for you."
"Yeah." A deep voice came from the well-painted woman. "We'll start in about thirty minutes, just head backstage…" She indicated an inconspicuous door tucked away opposite the stairwell. "What song are you gonna do?"
"Uh…"
"We'll be alright, I know what songs are already picked." Thomas said.
The queen dismissed this with a flap of her wrist. "Nah, don't worry about that- the crowd loves when there's a double-up. Just pick something that's on Spotify and it'll be fine. When you've figured it out, talk to the stage manager- you'll be able to pick him out, he's wearing the trucker hat unironically." She tipped you a wink before leaving.
"What song are you thinking?" Damiano asked, both of them turning to you.

His mouth dropped open. "You know how to moonwalk?"
"Oh I know what song." Thomas said, stepping forward. "The song that has the sick bass that comes in like…" He started to mime playing a bass guitar, making the sounds of the notes. "And then it goes, da-da dadadada da du-da-da…"
"Are you literally singing what's playing right now?" You asked.
"No, no, it's a new song. You played it when we were in the car the other day and Vic has literally not shut up about it since, 'cause it's the gay song, you know?" He said. "And there's that awesome guitar solo that closes it out."
"Um, do you mean the one that goes…" Damiano started mumble singing. "Um babida and there's a girlfriend, 'cause somethin' or anything and a girlfriend… ladida, somethin' about being sticky- sticky."
You hadn't been expecting for this to make sense, but somehow their ramblings sparked an insight in you. "Next Girlfriend by Gia Woods- I think that's what you're thinking of."

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves, I probably won't even win."

"You will." Thomas said.
"The winner is picked by whoever gets the loudest cheer, and guess who has the loudest friends?" Damiano completed his statement by tucking his head down as his arms extended into a dab.
"And he doesn't just mean in this club tonight, he means in the whole of Rome."

You found your way backstage and quickly identified the stocky stage manager amongst the gaggle of drag queens already gathered here. You faced no issues in getting added to the running order and no one else had picked your song..
There was a wall-length mirror that was out of the way, you placed yourself in front of it, despite the lacklustre lighting it provided. You made adjustments to your costume, ensuring the foam padding was sitting where it should be against your skin.
You became aware of the tremble in your hands as you raked your fingers gently through the black ponytail of fake hair. It had been awhile since you had performed on a stage, even longer since you had performed solo. But it wasn't the feeling of being out of practice that was making you so nervous.
You were raising the stakes on yourself, already picturing how Victoria would look from the audience. You wanted to do something that would impress her - but it was more than teaching Ethan to perfect a tongue pop. You had to earn her attention and make her never want to look away.
You wanted to entrance her and mesmerise her - just as she did to you when she got down onto her knees on stage and writhed around without missing a single note. You would stare at her for an embarrassingly long time, sometimes missing the transition of one song to the next.
You wanted to make it impossible for her to not be amazed. Your true goal was to seduce her, to leave her so dazzled that she couldn't resist.
You planned to give her something that she couldn't not react to. Then, once you saw her response, you would have the answer you had been waiting on for years. You would know if she was attracted to you or if it was all a fantasy that you needed to snap out of.
"You're up next, after Barbies Bush- just wait there and you'll hear them say your name." The stage manager took you over to the curtain that covered the entrance of the stage. You nodded and smiled, to show you understood before going back to thinking over what you remembered of the stage layout.
You were running through the song, thinking about the pole that was mounted on the stage, off to the left. You were thinking about how to build the narrative. You had a few combinations of moves in mind when you heard your name said over the speakers.
You felt your throat clench, but you followed the music as you heard it. Sell the fantasy, you told yourself repeatedly, making the decision to recall that you had never let stage fright stop you before. You pushed your shoulders back and began onto the stage, doing your best impression of a runway model. You kept your chin raised, determined to create something Victoria would feel like she couldn't live without.

You stopped before the ledge of the scuffed-up stage, running your hands down either side of your body. "Got the body of Madonna, like a virgin…"

Your friends were easy to pick out of the audience, even before Damiano yelled out. They were standing at the front of the stage and now you allowed yourself to look at their four smiling faces. You didn't let them break your concentration, it was enough to know that Victoria was staring up at you.
"Know you like what you see…" You spun around to put your back to the audience, swinging your arms up. You stuck your ass out to the left, planting a hand on this hip. You turned to the crowd a little more, flipping your head down by your knee then throwing it back. "Now you're stuck in my teeth. Got me pickin' out a ring."
You walked towards the floor-to-roof pole, reaching for it with one arm while leaning the rest of your body back. "Baby, I got an idea, ohh…"
You timed your jump onto the pole to coincide with the shift in beat that indicated the beginning of the chorus. You grabbed it with both hands, holding your legs out straight as you completed a slow spin.
You heard more cheers, it sounded like more than just your friends and you could feel your confidence growing.

You kept the control in your arms, trying to ignore what was happening at your chest. You completed as many of the fluid arm dance moves as you could remember, maintaining your poker face. The guitar solo stretched on as you mimed checking your reflection in an invisible hand mirror, applying the imaginary powder puff to your cheeks one after the other.
"Da-da dadadada da…" You closed out the song by framing your face with quick gestures around your head.
The crowd was cheering and Ethan finally worked Victoria free from your bodysuit. You got to your feet, waving and getting ready to retreat.
"The audience participation was next level for that one, eh?" The host drag queen said into her microphone. "Look out fellas, she's got a spiderweb that's ready to trap ya… alright, who's next?"
You scurried off of the stage, back through the curtain and out of the way of the queen following you. You felt like an idiot - everything had been going fine until you had gotten too close to Victoria, determined to seduce her. You had probably come on way too strong, bordering on desperate.
But you had a whole wad of euros in your hand now. You collected your handbag and started to smooth out the bank notes, putting them into your purse.

"Really?" You looked up to find the rest of your friends had been waiting to see you. "That turned into a total train-wreck."

"I've seen you do flips into the pool before, but I had no idea you could do that." Damiano said.
Victoria drove her elbow into his ribs. "She's a gymnast, dumbass. Why do you think I stopped doing yoga with her?"
"So, you knew that she could do all of that?” Damiano asked.
"Not to that extent, no." She said, looking down.
"Recovering with the voguing…" He said, finishing his compliment by raising his fingers to his mouth to perform a chef's kiss. "Pure genius."

You had finished in second place - losing to a queen who had brought a big finish, in the form of a gun that spat out fake money. She was the only one to receive a cash prize. But, looking at the tips you had amassed, you had already earned that amount - along with the free drink tickets provided to the top three.
Other club-goers had continued to come up to you, grabbing your arm to tell you how great they thought you were. They wanted to compliment your skills on the pole, they wanted to praise your costume, they marvelled at your splits. Not a single person brought up the wardrobe malfunction at the end.
But you were still thinking about it. And you assumed Victoria was as well, she hadn't been able to meet your eye since you had gotten down from the stage. This was the exact opposite of what you had been trying to achieve.
You shared the drink tickets with your friends, as well as helping yourself to some more Midori sours. Victoria and Thomas kept disappearing, bouncing off across the dancefloor. You shared cigarettes with Damiano and Ethan, both of them wanting tips on how to vogue. Ethan could copy along quicker - the hand-eye coordination that allowed him to juggle, transferring to this skill as well.
You stayed out much later than you had originally planned, the crowd mostly gone by the time the five of you decided to call it a night. In the decision-making of who would buddy up to share an Uber home - you were paired with Victoria, thanks to the three guys living on the opposite side of the city to you and her.
The two of you talked in the backseat and it was almost normal. Almost. But you could feel the anticipation hanging in the air between the two of you.
You found a way to break the unexpected ice by making a joke, asking how many pizzas you could afford now that you were 'rolling in cash'. "I promise I'm not gonna let the money change me, just because I'm rich, that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop going thrifting with you. Her eyes dropped at the mention of your ex-girlfriend, a topic that both of you had been avoiding at all costs in the two months since the end of your longest relationship. You had kicked Bella out of your life immediately after discovering that she was cheating.
Victoria had offered to beat Bella up, to go to the bar where she worked and yank the extensions right out of her head. You giggled before being jarred out of this moment, noticing that the car had reached a halt. “No, no, no, don’t be silly, I’ll come up with you and get them.” She said of the item she had left behind during her last visit to your home.
When you were in the elevator, she turned to you, even in the awful and cheap overhead lighting, she was still breath-taking. Her cheeks were shimmering with perfectly applied highlighter, a subtle dusting across her cupid's bow drawing your eye to her lips all the more.

She was studying your expression carefully, hands going to your waist while you put your hands on her face. You brushed her hair away from her cheeks, stroking your fingers across her soft skin. You had to bend at the neck to eliminate the height difference caused by your platform boots.
You secured both of your lips around her bottom lip, leaning into her. Her hands moved to the small of your back, firmly pressing against your skin.

Alla Praja Gallipoli l'estate è già iniziata il 17 giugno con un super party che ha visto sul palco Federico Scavo al mixer e il violino di Mark Lanzetta... il locale ha risposto alla grande alla splendida musica proposta da questi due artisti.
Dal 22 al 24 giugno sono previste altre due inaugurazioni. Il 22/6 inaugura Giovedì del Villaggio, una delle feste più pop della Praja, mentre Big Mama, il venerdì della Praja, inizia a battere forte il suo groove black (hip hop, r'n'b, reggaeton e dintorni) già da dal 23 giugno 2023. Sono due party già con conosciuti dagli appassionati, due must da non perdere.
Sabato 24 giugno, ecco altre due star sul palco della Praja Gallipoli, gestita come sempre da Musicaeparole. Al mixer c'è Francesca Brambilla, dj e personaggio tv che non ha bisogno di presentazioni. Sul palco va invece Fred De Palma, tra i protagonisti della scena reggaeton italiana, grazie a una serie di hit assolute come "D'estate non vale", "Paloma" o la recente "Extasi". La sua "Una volta ancora", interpretata con Ana Mena, ad esempio, ha totalizzato qualcosa come 158 milioni di stream.
Che si balla a luglio e agosto, nell'estate 2023 alla Praja Gallipoli (Lecce), capitale musicale del Salento e del divertimento? MATERIALISM IS A EUPHEMISM: Excerpts from the first Kalampag Tracking Agency screening, UPFI Videotheque, 2014
The Kalampag Tracking Agency was initially started as “a screening program in the form of an initiative.” An organizational collaboration between Shireen Seno of Los Otros and Merv Espina of Green Papaya under its Generation Loss (GEN_LOSS) program, Kalampag sought to present some of the most singular, fragile, and striking moving image works by Filipinos over the past 30 years. The initiative was launched by two screenings and discussions, the first of which took place on 20 August 2014 at the University of the Philippines Film Institute (UPFI) Videotheque.
The impulse of Kalampag led to ongoing research and archiving of Philippine artists' moving image that branched off into other projects, such as the ongoing Light Leaks series currently hosted by the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MCAD).
Advancements and ongoing experimentation with digital technologies and artists’ moving image creation and distribution are ever accelerating at breakneck speeds, perhaps even more so now because of the conditions set about by the pandemic. Who could have imagined that in less than a decade since the first Kalampag screening that watching videos from our smartphones would become normal behaviour? Most of the artists, collaborators, and curators had no smartphones during the preparation work for the Kalampag in 2014.
Below is an excerpt from a lengthy post-screening discussion between Alice Sarmiento, Raya Martin, John Torres, Nick Deocampo, and Merv Espina. Shireen Seno, Kidlat Tahimik, Kidlat de Guia, Teddy Co, Jon Lazam, Martha Atienza, Malay Javier, and many others were in attendance and actively contributed to the discussion. What follows is an example of the performative and participatory nature of the screening program and the post-screening discussion that further enriches the materials and informs ongoing research.

Alice Sarmiento (AS): To append to what Nick [Deocampo] and Raya [Martin] were talking about earlier, I think one of the interesting things I noticed from the second half was this element of decay that was present in almost all the films. I know it has to do with bad prints or whatever, but the fact that it’s present in these films from the past, if you look at the current visual vocabulary especially with something like Instagram, you’ll notice that decay is something we simulate now using technology.
The thing with technology now is that we’re coming from a place of abundance where it’s super easy to flatten everything, but everything is also infinitely reproducible so we’re talking of a very different garbage pit altogether. We’re not talking about the dumpster behind LVN Pictures or Mowelfund, we’re talking about how to work and sift through a different pile of garbage. We now have concepts like infinite reproducibility, flattening, and simulating decay and the fact that there is no limit to what you can upload to YouTube. These really change the potential for what film is going to be in the future or what we’re experimenting with.
I have a really horrible example right now. I saw the trailer for Sex Tape (2014) earlier, starring Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz. One of the things there is that they have an iPad and they filmed themselves having sex for three hours which accidentally got uploaded to the cloud. So, we’re talking about a generation that’s born into this concept of the cloud.
To add to what Teddy Co was saying about communities earlier, we’re not even talking about forming communities. We’re talking about a population that’s literally native to this idea of filming themselves and publicizing everything they do. I think those are the things that are completely beyond our grasp right now. The fact that the common, the public sphere, and the act of disseminating something have all changed.
Of course, you have technology as the culprit for all of that but I think that, rather than feel nostalgic or like you’re being displaced, just understand that technology never really displaced or displaces us, but more like it adds to what is present. Thank you, Raya, for laughing.
Raya Martin (RM): No, I think I kind of understand it…
Merv Espina (ME): Well, I agree.
RM: Sorry, just a footnote, but what you said about that certain aesthetic of bringing together the older and newer works, of course we still don’t see it yet, but what if this sort of cinema from the ‘70s is now in this one big app or website?
AS: Well, yeah. Because if we think about it, the people who are using Instagram now are the people who have access to smartphones. Who are these people who have access to smartphones? It’s people who were born in the ‘70s and ‘80s. So, there will still be that hampering that, “When I was a kid, it was like this.” We’re still the generation that can recognize that kind of frame. I’m sure that if I show it to my nieces, they’re not gonna have any idea what celluloid and those frames are. They’re gonna think, “Oh, that’s the thing they have on Instagram right?” It has now become a filter. It’s another way of co-opting that language from the past, but that is something that came up. It’s something that they’re going to translate in their own hands.
RM: In the same way, I’d like to say that experimental cinema turned into a music video aesthetic.
AS: Yeah, that’s what I recognized also. I’m sure that Nick sees something else when he sees the videos of Roxlee, but I was like, “It’s like that Peter Gabriel video.”
Nick Deocampo (ND): This is the reason why I’m more of a historian than a filmmaker right now because the fear that I have in what we’re discussing is that you tend to efface the historical markings that are necessary to inform us of the state of technology, politics, economics, society, our mental well-being.
I’m sorry if I or some of us here may sound nostalgic because, in the end, I think it’s a kind of temporal framing. That’s also our legacy. One thing you may understand is that materialism is a euphemism of Marxism. You belong to that generation where the material reality, all of these were part of the process that we were in. That’s what I’m trying to caution ourselves; that unless you see that, it’s just a style that belongs to a certain temporal continuum, which technology enriches and adds up.
We still need to demarcate exactly that this technology in the ‘70s is different from the ‘80s. I’m sorry to be so chronological about it. Of course that kind of historical periodization can be put into a question or argument, but I feel that there’s still room for a historical nuancing for us to know what is still useful. Again, being informed is all I’m asking for and that’s why, as I’ve said, I engage in history because this country, our people primarily, tend to forget so easily.
AS: I think the fact that it’s becoming added to the argument is a result of a very interesting point that we started to realize what technology has to do with the formation of communities and how it influences aesthetic because you’re working from a place with limitations.
ME: There are still a lot of limitations with digital, so much.
ND: Codec issues.
AS: Yes, there is! I only mean to bring up how that is going to be augmented in the future especially now that you see 15-year-old filmmakers and 8-year-old app developers. I mean, those are very interesting developers right now. One of the things that concerns me at least, is how optimized it’s becoming with how people develop things. It’s becoming more convenient and more possible to just confine yourself to your room and do your own thing there without having to relate to people in this space because dissemination and screening mean something else now.
ME: We’ve all been very nostalgic about form, material, and how your works from the ‘70s and ‘80s were disseminated. Now that you’re focusing on the digital, no one has questioned or brought to attention the politics and possibilities of distribution when it comes to digital forms. There are so many ways to distribute. Cross-referencing with what you were saying about community, of course communities are developed from screenings and workshops because you literally had to be physically present in the workshops and the screenings.
ND: Now it’s all virtual.
ME: Yeah, and now, for example, some of the Marcos-era films can actually be seen online. Jon, what works do you have online? [Hindi sa Atin ang] Buwan (The Moon is Not Ours) (2011)?
Jon Lazam (JL): Yes, Buwan.
ME: You can see some of Raya’s works if you download.
RM: But I’m more old school, you have to pay for it.
John Torres (JT): I like watching in a big dark room with the others. Some people prefer to download and watch in solitude at home. Inside the cinema, I don’t have the remote so I power through a contract of continuous playback. If it were just me and the remote, I could take my sweet time and take breaks or naps. Or I could just decide not to watch altogether. I like both.
Teddy Co (TC): It’s also a discipline not to answer any phone calls!
ND: As a challenge to the curators here: why don’t you try to program something digitally? Because this actually questions the very practice of why you have to have a physical screening like this and bringing us together. Of course, we are rushing here because this is a sacred ritual as far as we’re concerned. Now, here’s the challenge: we won’t see each other. Let’s see what results you’re gonna have and inform us, maybe we’ll see each other. Again, it’s not a question of comparison of which one is better. We want to see exactly how we can move on from this old ritual of getting together, talking to each other, and trying to exchange or share some ideas. I know that on the internet, we somehow can, we can comment immediately. So, let’s move on to that.
If I sound so nostalgic, then I just want to correct one thing. It’s just an impression that maybe we sound nostalgic but personally, I’d like to say that we’re not. In fact we do recognize the materiality of video technology and that cinema has moved on. As I said before, my works right now involve digital technology and my documentaries have CGI. I’ve reconciled myself with the technology. It’s just that once again, we’re burdened by history. And don’t worry, 20 years from now, Raya, all of you will be speaking the same language when we are in the age of holograms. You know, I’m sure digital media will be over! Holograms will be here and that’s where the new masterpieces will be. We don’t even have to see each other, we’ll just be projected there.
