Hollowlove are an atmospheric electro-pop duo from Canada, comprised of Keith Gillard and Ryan Slemko (Fidgital). They’re releasing a new single quarterly.
On the band's background, Keith says: "Ryan and I first met when he crashed a party at my place. He’d recently started working at a video game company with my roommate and was familiar with my music. A few months later, he asked me to produce some material for his band at the time, and after that project dissolved, we started writing together. We’ve been working together ever since, and it’s no exaggeration to say we’re best friends." To mark one year of Hollowlove, the duo are releasing new mixes of their debut single, "Hazard Lights", with elements unique from the original. So they're not just edits! The 7" radio mix boils the song down to its most concise form, telling its story of desperation in under 4 minutes. The 12" extended mix is done in the classic style, stretching its slinky, jazzy groove out over ten minutes, immersing the listener in the textures and mood of Hollowlove's world. The song itself was born on Keith's Minimoog Model D with the bassline that introduces the track, with the lyrics were written while cycling. The video was partially shot between Chicago and Detroit during the bleakest days of winter, but the most interesting part in and along the Pacific Spirit Park forests of the UBC Endowment Lands in Vancouver. Ryan says, "My favorite story from the day of our video-shoot is of a man that drove past us a number of times. Of course, I figured we might draw attention, with our car pulled over, Marbeya making all kinds of dramatic motions, and me on my knees stalking her with an iPad. I first assumed he was checking to see if she was okay. Later, I wondered if he was on security patrol for the nearby University. When M and I finally left the road to capture a walk through the bushes, we froze at the sound of cracking branches. The same curious man was now peering at us through the leaves, his surprised face marbled in shadow. He must have walked quite a distance because he hadn’t parked anywhere within view. I’m pretty sure he finally realized A) we weren’t engaged in some kind of sexual deviancy of which he could be a part and B) that he might get caught on video. He whipped around and lumbered away like a frightened yeti. Poor guy. I'd have to say though if that wasn't a truly Hollowlove-style vignette, I don't know what is.

Rachel's Vision by Marbeya Sound is the culmination of their sound that prepares their listeners for their upcoming album. Back in 2009 Belgium's Eskimo Recordings set the bar with their compilation Cosmic Balearic Beats, and a new breed of producers & music emerged. From that search of raw talent breathes Marbeya.
After a slew of releases on important labels like Tirk, Smash Hit Records, Mad On The Moon, the band come home to Mexican label Electrique Music.
Coming with them to remix their epic track is Norway's finest Ytre Rymden Dansskola, and Italy's prime ministers The Love Supreme.

Marbeya Sound - Your Ears Are Hours
Entrevista a Marbeya Sound
By Andrea Viedma
Audio: Marbeya Sound — "Hologram Dancer"
Para one & Tacteel – Fair Enough Radiohead – The king of Limbs Washed out – Within and Without Zodiac Free Arts Club – Floating World Tim hecker – Ravendeath, 1972 The Soft Moon – The Soft Moon
