Magali Guidasci graced film and television with her artistic brilliance all while clearly enriching the lives around her. The Magicians Fandom was privileged enough to see her work span over five seasons, bringing life to Fillory and Further.

@filloriansunited wants to pay tribute to Magali with a special podcast episode, inviting the fandom to join and share their feelings on Magali. She was a Wellspring; her magic flowing through ingenious designs that told lifetimes worth of stories without any words. While we're feeling sentimental about The Magicians cancellation, I wanna give a shout-out to Magali Guidasci who, seriously for real, has done some of the most fantastic costume design work that I've ever seen. It's something I definitely underappreciate in general but she's so fucking good I couldn't not notice. I'm excited to see what she does after this.

As I was looking for the moment she wore pants, I noticed she did not wear anywhere High King Margo is around inS04 and goes for a softer, dreamier, princessy look than when she is Acting King and then High King; she wears pants to impose dominance and strength. I love that Fen uses her clothes to remind people that Margo is in charge when she was in FIllory. This is just fucking clever from the costume department.

Hum. If I had to just pick one??? Man. The Beatles? The Eagles? There’s so many, but it would be a toss-up between those two if I absolutely HAD to. I can’t choose. You monster.

56: If I could meet anyone on this earth, who would it be?

This gets trickier and trickier as time goes on because I keep meeting these people. Of someone I haven’t met yet? Yikes. Top of my list right now is somewhere between a handful of actors and the one I think who is the real winner: Magali Guidasci, who is the costume designer for The Magicians.

80: What is my favorite word?

As in one that I say all the time? Or one that brings me joy? Well, I say fuck a lot, but I think my favorite word is something really corny like wonder, magic, or something really corny like that.

138: What was my favorite toy as a child?

So I had this amazing plush bunny named Snowbunny. She went everywhere with me. She's about 16″ tall with big floppy ears. I had clothes that fit her and she went through every with me. In her back, she has a music box (old-school, mechanical) that plays “Beautiful Dreamer”.
