Tropiques-Atrium : Fin de saison aux Trois-Ilets
En Martinique, le Tropiques-Atrium contrattaque et décide de célébrer la fin de sa saison culturelle de manière festive, comme un pied de nez aux conditions imposées depuis le début de l’année « pour célébrer la vie, la communion entre artistes et public dans une fraternité intergénérationnelle ». C’est ainsi que deux grandes soirées de danse et de concerts sont programmées aux Trois-Ilets ce week-end, 4 et 5 juillet.
Samedi 4 juillet, à partir de 18h00 ce sont d’abord les conteurs et slameurs Valèr’ Egouy, Yawa, Dédé Duguet, Makandja, Fola, qui seront à l’honneur, avant de passer la main aux rappeurs martiniquais (Nèg Madnick, Flaha, Rachid, Le R et Krimy). En fin de soirée, le pianiste Maher Beauroy présentera son projet Washa, accompagné de Philippe Meniac (g), Axel Fancourt (b) et Daniel Dantin (dms).
La soirée du Dimanche 5 juillet débutera à 17h00 avec le quartet de Dominique Bérose. Le pianiste sera accompagné de Luther François (sax), Patrick Féré (b) et Dominique Bougrainville (dms). C’est Fal Frett, le groupe de jazz créole martiniquais de référence qui prendra la suite, emmené par les frères Bernard (Alex, basse – Nicol, perc et Jacky, pno) ainsi que Guillaume, fils de Jacky, à la batterie. Luther François et Ralph Thamar complèteront le casting. Enfin, le pianiste Ronald Tulle clôturera la soirée en présentant son tout nouvel album Raise, avec Tony Chasseur (vcls), Michel Alibo (b), Alain Dracius (perc) et Thomas Bellon (dms).

Sharing is caring
So, a lot of people who know me, know I love massages. I also love chiropractors. Weird? Not sure.
I’ve always loved massages. I mean, I don’t think I have to explain that one. Do I ?
How’d I start to like chiropractors? Well, in 5th grade, my school did their standard scoliosis screening by the school nurse. And she told me I should go see my doctor. What the? What? So I went to my doctor, he told me I was fine. I was like, 10. So I listened and went on with my life.
Fast forward, I was 23. I was bartending a lot, like a lot a lot. And I remember my back started bothering me, more than usual. So I took a few days off. But it was still bothering me. So I went to another doctor, a few xrays later, I was officially diagnosed with scoliosis. Not major enough to need surgery, but enough to be a pain 😂. I also felt like I was crooked. Like one leg was always infront of the other, but everyone told me I was crazy.
And that’s when I began seeing chiropractors. I’ve seen a number of different doctors over the years. They bring you in, crack you, and send you on your way. They have helped me relieve back and neck pain. They’re awesome.
I want to say maybe 2-3 years ago, I woke up on a Thursday, and my chiropractor office was closed. PANIC. So I went on Yelp, And found an office super close by.
So I called and made an appt. And I drove over, I got on the table, and this new chiropractor said, “sweetheart, did anyone ever tell you your lopsided?” I am not exaggerating, I got off the table to hug him. Forget my adjustment, you believe I’m crooked too? I love you already.
Fast forward to today, this chiropractor isn’t just my chiropractor anymore. He’s my friend, I should pay him extra because he’s also my part time therapist 😂. I walk in, and it’s not just a crack and go. He listens to what’s bothering you, he works with your body, his tools, his table, all that jazz, and works on you. We also talk about life, about other health issues, or just dumb stuff. We talk so much that my last visit his mom legit walked into the room and said, “kick her out !!! So much talking, mom needs an adjustment!!” Jonathon and I died laughing. Sometimes he treats me on his lunch hour. He checks on me in between visits.
I can’t put into words how thankful I am to have walked into his office. But I know he knows. He told me “you’re my biggest fan.” I love good people. And I love to let people know how much they mean to me. And the best part, he doesn’t even get a bighead. He laughs at me and we hug it out. He’s the most down to earth person ever. His natural positive energy is contagious. And he’s not just a chiropractor, he’s like the god of chiropractors.
Anyway, I just wanted to show appreciation to Jonathon. And share with the world my hidden gem, Madnick Chiropractor on Street Road. Don’t think about it, just do it.
