Even though Spike originally came from Otherworld and Lucy's father did as well, they are defintely coded to be from cultures similar to that on Earth.
Specifically Spike is coded Afro Hispanic and Lucy's father is coded to be a mixed Southwest Chinese man.

Joaquina uses her powers to suppress her younger sister, Lucy's magical energy in hopes that if her powers wasn't powerful to do much difference she won't get hurt. Telling her siblings that due to their human limits they simply cannot go to the other world. It was a lie as it is a ability those in her mother's family. In fact, their mother was the one that opened a Otherworld pocket so she could help her husband.
She cannot do it herself, but she can observe it. Due to how dangerous and unfamiliar it seemed she doesn't want neither Lucy nor Paye to use their abilities and wander in there. Telling both to stay focus on school, friends, and taking care of their other sisters, Zinnia and Myesia.
Due to the vision she had of her mother returning and another of the younger twins walking and playing around, she is determined that her parents will return soon.

The strongest physical part of Lucy’s body is her legs, it shines when she cheering despite her short stature. Her athleticism seems to outmatch a normal human, she’s aware of it despite her tendency to fight people that trouble for her or people she likes; she simply “set them straight”.
She visits her younger sisters in the hospital at a very specific time nearly everyday, 3 o clock in the afternoon. She’s very particular about this time, due to the only clear vision she had of them crying at a specific time before. She doesn’t want them cry like that again.
She’s interested in finding her parents, but isn’t able to go the Otherworld like her parents can. Feeling if she trained more with her powers than she could as her mother’s people though humans could open entrances for the Otherworld.
Have a straining relationship with her older sister, Joaquina mostly due to wanting her parents back. It’s not broken, but she’s getting more frustrated with time; she still behaves cheerfully with her until she let her emotional side comes out.

Due to Lucy's lack of training and her half human heritage, her powers on both of her family's side are underdeveloped.
As a snow leopard shifter, unlike her father who can turn into what is believed to their true forms as monstrous like creatures. She turns into a literal snow leopard and not a warped, mystical version of one. Nor can she cause curses or blessings, nor is her clairvoyance abilities flawless either.
As a magical human of psychic origins, her powers are strong but raw and unpolished. Her powers are influenced by her emotions which limits her vision and sensors as well.
All of her powers are influenced by her feelings and instincts. This is why her feline features pop up during extreme distress or excitement. In addition, to causing bouts of different levels and types of psychic energy.
On the other hand, her twin brother Paye have different issues. Though untrained, his power are stable as he is more logically drive than Lucy who is incredibly passionate. Still, his own power is lacking even if concentrated.

The few branches of her father’s clan that wasn’t banished probably would view Lucy as a abomination due her human mixed blood. Seeing her powers and even her animal form as a pitiful embarrassment.
Considering that she longs to see the other side of her, it probably would hurt her deeply as she already don’t think she belongs among humans due to her powers. Just to be told that she is far too weak to belong among nonhumans either.

Lucy’s father’s side lived in the Sichaun province on China after they was banish in the human world before he traveled to the USA. He came from the Otherworld and lived as a nobleman’s youngest son in his youth before banished. His father was a nobleman and his mother a personal oracle of the ruling family known for their loyalty to the kingdom until their “betrayal.” The Pa could turn into snow leopards and leopards. Unlike Lucy, he turns to a leopard beast with five tails and a horn, a massive one at that as their kind are meant to be monstrous in size.
Lucy’s father, Dokeh, is perceived as a mixed Southwest man but of unknown origins but his family speaks in a Minjiang dialect. Due to his family exile, he was raised in a rural villlian that thankfully didn’t care about where his family came from. He left his family like his siblings did when he was older, but much earlier in hopes to treat his own body.
Similar to his younger twin daughters, he was born with the same curse and was told he would die a death that would devast his family. However, it never states when it will happened thus trained in order to kill anyone that might try to harm him. He was born with muteness thus relies on other ways to communicate. Eventually, he to the USA in claims to study. He met Calla, a strange human who he thought was a witch after seeing her use powers who lived in a busy city. The two eventually became lovers and had several kids including Lucy.
After Lucy’s sisters Myesia and Zinnia was born, the two moved away as Calla had a vision her youngest and him would die the longer they stayed. They went to where her family originally lived. After Myesia and Zinnia went into the hostpital, and Dokeh’s own health worsen they both left to find someone in hope to help. Leaving Joaquina their oldest at 20 to look her siblings, belieiving they would only be gone for a month at most on their journey.
It been longer than a month. And only Joaquina have realized that their parents’ presence is no longer there in the human realm.

Lucy’s Agent
Lucy’s agent is a young woman that looks to be in her mid to late twenties.
Similar to Lucy’s partial human blood, she’s a magical human so it isn’t a coincidence that she was chosen for the girls’ modelling agent. Joaquina sought out a someone that grew where her mother was originally from.
She seems to have connections with Belle Agency that wanted to scout Lucy out, but she was the one that refused them as she believe they take advantage of extraordinary humans and nonhuman. She wants her to have a normal high school life, but approves of her using her psychic abilities to aid local issues and learning about the Otherworld.
She is quite meek toward Lucy due to her high energy personality, but looks out for her. Is the only few that call Lucy, her actual first name which is Lucia.
She grew up near her mother and aunt, seeing them as older sister figures. So her personal relationship with Lucy as well as her siblings and cousins are more like a aunt.

Fashion Club
A club previously found by a group of seniors that ended up graduating, Lucy , Jordan, and Ronelle was the last members left.
Due to the importance Jordan and Ronelle have, I am instead going to talk about them at a later time. This page is for the minor characters in Lucy’s high school club life.
The core idea is that all of them fit a very particular niche fashion cultures, but are still good friends.
Eliana - A recently transferred student and homeroom classmate of Lucy. Soft spoken, easily nervous, but kind and supportive. Pressured into joining, but Lucy thought was saving the club and helping the lonely girl get friends. Doesn’t seem interested in high fashion or trends, but enjoys being around everyone. Lucy’s brother, Paye stated to have a crush on her.
Aaliyah - A cheerleader along with Lucy, she likes the Y2K sense of fashion. Typically seen as a chill and relaxed person to hang out with. Seems to be the one in in fashion club that hangs out with Lucy the most, but this probably due to sharing more interests such as shopping, cheer leading, and liking most of the same shows.
Autumn - Also part of the art club. Lucy and Autumn both share a talent of sketching, but while Lucy draws fashion styles Autumn likes nature and abstract ideas. Autumn use to be at odds with Lucy due the fashion club taking away the photography club’s classroom after it was defected. After getting to know Lucy and was told her look was a “vibe”, she joined in hopes know her more.
Annalee - Comes from a wealthy family and is the main reasoning for the fashion club financial backing. Likes the kawaii aesthetic and joined due Lucy stating how much like her outfit. Is also part of the anime club and is closer to Lucy’s cousin Mercedes. Tries to be incredibly positive and cheery, but she secretly is very insecure. Fashion club helps her feel appreciated.
Blair - She joined because she liked Lucy’s style and claimed she didn’t have nothing else going on. In truth, she likes knowing about trends and wanted to be more fashionable. Despite her more stoic demeanor, she gets along the best with Annalee for their love of anime and cute things. She dresses in a grudge like fashion. She likes Lucy’s brother, Paye but don’t really know if she should say anything.

Eliana
Eliana or how Lucy calls her “Eli” a nervous and soft spoken girl that ended up befriending her due to Lucy pressuring her to sign up for fashion club when she transferred. This is due Eliana saying it was hard for her to make friends, Lucy pushed her into joining to their lack of members. However, she might have actually wanted to Eliana to make friends with the other club members. Very defensive over her and will straight up smack someone gives her a bad time.
Eliana can stand out among the other members due to her plainer style and less eccentric behavior, being seen at times as a straight man that keeps the peace. She doesn’t have a big interest in her clothes, but she does seem a bit more style conscious after being around people like Lucy.
Lucy’s brother, Paye have stated that he thinks she is cute though Lucy doesn’t like the idea of her brother liking her friends.

Lucy - Ability Drawbacks
Lucy’s psychic abilities is influence by her emotions and her shapeshifting can fluctuate due it too. Due to how emotional and passionate of a person she is, her powers tends to flickering on a weekly or even daily basis. Which causes a lot of issues for a high school girl trying to live a normal life.
Due to the lack of control she have with her powers, her psychic energy seems to be pure raw emotion which makes it most dangerous to deal with. Apparently, her twin brother have the same issue but in fewer occasions due to his less emotionally driven personality. She might be slightly better at controlling her now compared to before due to the fact she attends high school and yet to cause any real collateral damage as of yet.
Though she can have psychic visions of past, present, and future they are not usually consistent due to only being able to interpret emotional states. She can only see how someone else or how she views a vision on a emotional basis not just the whole thing clear cut.

I’m not saying it would totally cool buuuut it would be totally cool if the model agency Lucy works for was affiliated with Belle, the agency Shanice is a part of.
I always tried to write Belle as a company with very ambiguous goals that are willing to do dubious natured things to gain members. Most of the agents they have that know of the true nature, don’t seem thrilled working there, such as Shanice. However, the kids and teens they rope in (cause yes, they have “junior members” like Alasie) tend to be more willing and enthusiastic to help. In fact, a good chunk seem grateful for Belle accepting them when others don’t. Many have supernatural abilities or even nonhuman origins, and most came from terrible home situations.
Lucy aspires to be a fashion designer and top model, she’s currently kinda separate to seek out a cure for her cities, and she have psychic and shapeshifting abilities that lives with her sister (since her parents are stuck in the Otherworld for now). Despite her popularity at school, she feels as if she doesn’t truly belong anywhere. She is the example of teenagers Belle seeks out to entice to be junior members for missions.
Not saying she’s a member, just saying it would make sense they got their eyes on her if she starts doing something out of the ordinary.

Amy Galaxy, the titutlar character Amity is known for playing is the recent favorite character of Lucy’s younger sisters, Zinnia and Myesia. Both are residing in a children hospital due their curse, that doctors see as a unconfirmed condition. Due to Lucy frequent visits, she watched so much of the magical girl show. The older she gotten the less interested she was in “girl power” children shows, but watching it with her sisters is helping her live out a sense of excitement and positivity that she didn’t get the luxury of at their age.
She would never admit to her friends that she actually enjoys it, claiming that she watches it for her baby sisters’ sake.

Lucy probably got much lower self esteem that she likes to be perceive as.
She constantly calls her nonhuman, magical heritage “freakish” nor does she believe that if she showed it people would accept her. Which she is probably right, but she don’t even think her own friends would. She seems think very little of her friends despite hanging out with them. She likes the idea of having friends and thrives of being accepted, but she don’t trust them enough to be vulnerable to reveal anything deep.
She is seen as one of the more popular girls at her school and she knows if anything slips she would be not just disregarded, but be seen as a monster.
