Luca was born in 1963 in Rimini, where he still lives. He works between Rimini and Milan. His first approach to art came with graphics powered by the passion for comics. Then he comes falling in love for the colors and created the first artworks that led him to make his debut with a solo exhibition in 1991. Since then his canvases are populated with themes inspired by past ages. A lot of people have already asked themselves, and a lot more will do so after having seen these painting, what on earth are these figures doing, what they want to express these faces, cut out as they are from other times and other places. As Davide Rondoni written about them: “just like someone who does not want to lose himself, (....) who does not wish to be lost in oblivion. Who is not resigned to being confined for ever in another place, in another blurred, forsaken existence, somewhere in finished past time as compared to the chaotic and vibrant perception of present time. The human figures here in the painting ask, albeit posturing iniquitously, dissimulating, occasionally simpering and making up, to exist once again”. The technique currently used by Luca is acrylic oil on canvas or paper.

"En efecto, si juzgamos las artes desde el punto de vista de la expresión directa –y desde luego resulta incomprensible juzgarlas de otro modo–, el guionista es un artista que, aun dando lo mejor de sí a la película, al fin y al cabo no tiene el consuelo de saber que se ha expresado por sí mismo. De modo que, pese a su trabajo creador, no es otra cosa que un proveedor de hallazgos, de invenciones, de aciertos técnicos, psicológicos y literarios. A quien en definitiva concierne el uso de este material es al director, que lo hará según su genio y que se reservará la facultad de expresarse. El guionista, pues, es el hombre que permanece siempre en la sombra; que da sus mejores frutos en aras del éxito de los demás; y que, a pesar de que el éxito de la película depende en sus dos terceras partes de su trabajo, no verá nunca su nombre en los carteles publicitarios, donde aparecen destacados, en cambio, los del director, los actores y el productor."⠀ ⠀ "Indeed, if we judge the arts from the point of view of direct expression - and of course it is incomprehensible to judge them otherwise - the screenwriter is an artist who, while giving the best of himself to the film, after all he does not have the comfort of knowing that he has expressed himself. So, despite its creative work, it is nothing more than a provider of findings, inventions, technical, psychological and literary successes. The one who ultimately concerns the use of this material is the director, who will do it according to his genius and who will reserve the right to express himself.
