alright. a few comments. 1) trucys dad is SO FUNNY him just Leaving at the end made me laugh so hard 2) this court system is SO BADDDDDDDDD ITS SO BAD its so bad okay okay.okay
you will all recall, i assume, the wonderful case that indirectly kicked off like the entire plot of this whole series: namely, master's court trial in which a certain gregory edgeworth proves that our good friend manfred von karma forged an autopsy report for a body that did not exist in police custody. yes. you will further recall the incredible slap on the wrist he got for that. which was, mind you, absolutely nothing. he was not stripped of his badge nor forced to take a sabbatical and nevermind the very idea of this affecting his case - master was very much convicted (and without any solid decisive evidence, even!) - and forget about even the concept of an investigation by the p.i.c..
aaaaaaaaaaaand on the other hand we have. um. phoenix wright presenting a ripped page out of a diary that is apparently forged (no actual proof of this is presented other than a testimony) and as a result of this not only is he stripped of his badge without an investigation, the defendant is DECLARED GUILTY???????? FOR THE INDEPENDENT ACTIONS OF HIS ATTORNEY?????????????????????
which now leads me to my third point: bruh if i was phoenix id quit law too how do you even fight against this goddamn kangaroo court

wright is completely bonkers. gets gavin, the guy he knows actually committed the murder, to agree to be his defense attorney, then tells gavin "actually wait i want your rookie apprentice to defend me instead" so that they both show up to trial together, and then gets up on the witness stand to accuse gavin (who is in this courtroom, mind you, specifically because phoenix got him to be his defense attorney in the first place) of murder and banks on apollo figuring out what he's aiming for mid-trial and then going along with this absolutely insane plan to get his mentor indicted instead . of course he would do something like this. classic wright moment
