ik it’s a shitpost song but every single version of sana ako na lang slaps? reimu’s spanish version? ver’s korean version? every version slaps i kid u not (as does millie’s new shitpost song and sequel kaibigan lang naman!

the way this song is so perfect for jaeseok too like the sheer pining? the unrequited love? the 큰형석은 짝 사랑한다 vibes? sheesh

there’s a reason i’m using ver’s version for this purpose and it’s bc the original version is female bc millie is female but ver is very clearly not so let’s take a look at the lyrics:

gun is in a relatively good relationship with allied bc of hyungseok’s training, hyungseok went from hating gun to ‘ig he’s ok’, meanwhile jay knows Nothing about gun except what he’s heard from kitae about crystal’s battlesexual bodyguard, and now he’s seeing this creepy guy who likes to fight being all chummy with his bff park hyungseok, who he’s been crushing on since phs first transferred to j high?

and it hurts to see the person you like gradually leaving you behind, especially when you would give away everything you have for them: money, time, affection, your life, even, if it comes to that.

jaeyeol knows that what he has with hyungseok isn’t technically good, because he doesn’t speak, all he can do to show affection is do things for hyungseok, but hyungseok doesn’t necessarily understand the intention behind what he does? jaeyeol also knows that what hyungseok has with gun is even less healthy than what he has with hyungseok, bc gun beats hyungseok up as part of hyungseok’s ‘training’ but he’s technically taking advantage of hyungseok bc let’s face it. gun gets off on beating people up + getting beaten up

jaeyeol sacrificing everything for hyungseok... and for what? hyungseok will never see him as anything more than a friend anyway. because lookism is not a romance, and koreans are pretty conservative.
