Chrisâs Little Family đ€
pairing: chris evans x momma evans (little duck au)
summary: chris canât help but take every little moment to admire his perfect little family
warnings: tooth rotting fluff
a/n: i know iâve been slacking on little duck and writing, this is short and things are just really tough for me right now and i havenât been in a writing mood :/
The sun was out in Boston, the air warm for the spring which meant you were already outside just after breakfast, Arlie adamant on riding her bike and jumping on the trampoline. Sheâd always loved the outdoors and being active, so after a laugh you followed her outside with Wesley strapped to your chest, he was fast asleep after nursing, so you expected a quiet few hours from him. You sat on the outdoor swing on the edge of your patio a soft knitted blanket across your lap, a perfect few of the small barn and pond further down the yard, arguably your favourite view to admire each day. Chris eventually came out after cleaning up after the waffle making that took place in the kitchen that same morning. Chrisâs favourite view by far was the one he saw right now, his little girl giggling away as her blonde hair flew around as she jumped on the trampoline. Then his eyes moved to you, cuddled up with his boy, your eyes lighting up in excitement anytime Arlie said something to you, your hands rubbing Wesâs back to keep him sleeping. Of course, he loved the view his home provided, but his family was his favourite, and they were something special that he would always cherish and hold close to his heart
âDaddy see me jumping!!â
You turned to smile at Chris after Arlie yelled to him
âI see you princess, getting higher and higher every time!âÂ
He chuckled making his way over to sit next to you, his heart warming as you lifted the blanket so he could get under itÂ
âThank you for cleaning up after breakfast my loveâÂ
His lips pressed a kiss to your cheek before letting you lean on his shoulder a content hum escaping your lipsÂ
âI should be thanking you for wrangling these two monsters every morning, they have the best mother in the worldâ
âAre you trying to make me cry Christopher?â
He laughed rubbing your arm gentlyÂ
âNo, no, I just want you to know how much I appreciate you, and this life we get to have together, our little family is-it just makes me so happy, and I know I say this to you a lot, but I couldnât imagine experiencing this with anyone elseâ
Each time he expressed his feelings, even if he said it to you one hundred times, it was enough to get you teary eyed and emotional, so pressing your lips to his to convey just how much it meant to you, was all you could muster in this momentÂ
âI love you, and I am just and thankful for our family-â
âMomma, Daddy!! Been callinâ you for ages!âÂ
Chris was the first to laugh at his daughterâs sass, she definitely got all of that from you
âOh you were huh?â
âMhm.â
She stood in front of him, hands on her hips as if she was getting ready to scold him, you were trying hard not to smile at her antics, especially when she huffed dramatically and climbed up to sit with Chris, her head leaning on his chestÂ
âWhat were you saying baby, Iâm listening nowâÂ
âWas gonna ask for help with my bike, but I comfy now, donât wanna moveâÂ
Chris tucked her under the blanket, letting out another quiet laugh as he held her to his chestÂ
âWell, if youâre comfy then you stay right there duck, we can go bike laterâÂ
If Chris wasnât listening closely enough, he would have missed the soft âthank you daddyâ that fell from her lips. This was Chrisâs favourite view in the whole world, he had his family all bundled under a blanket on the porch swing that already had many memories for you and Chris. He wouldnât trade this in for anything in the world, heâd be crazy if he said he didnât want maybe one more little one running around, but there was time for that, he was more than happy with his little family right now and so were you, that was all he could ever ask for.Â

Rough Patch Headcannonđ„đ (Little Duck AU)
Pairing: Dad! Chris Evans x Momma Evans (Female Reader)
Summary: things arenât always as they seem in the Evans household, and currently, itâs tougher than rough
Warnings: angst, mental health, arguments, fluff towards end:)
Back on bedrest once again after you got home from your appointment with Chris, Arlie was down for a nap so it made it easier for you to hide away in your shared bedroom, not wanting to talk to anyone or talk about anything
You didnât think this pregnancy would be easy, especially with baby boy growing everyday and getting bigger and bigger, but the aches, the constant pain you were in mixed with a very active toddler were draining you more than youâd ever admit
It started 3 weeks ago when you noticed you felt down, youâd experienced this feeling before after giving birth to Arlie, the dark cloud swimming around over top of you, the weight on your shoulders, that on top of the unbalanced hormones with baby boy, were cause for disaster
It also wasnât fair that youâd been so snappy with Chris recently, he never took offence to it, never got angry, he knew you were in loads of pain, he just wished he could take it from you
âOkayâŠplease be good so I can wash my face baby..â
The plead seemed to work momentarily before he pushed roughly on your ribcage, a frustrated groan leaving your lips before angrily tossing your face products to the side
You couldnât help the sudden sobs that escaped as you tried hard to hold it together and not have a total breakdown, Chris shoving the door open in worry a few seconds later
âHey, hey, whoa honeyâŠwhatâs going on?â
âI canât t-take this pain anymore, all it is and a-all it has been is p-painful and I c-canât even do anything a-anymore!â
Chris almost didnât know what to say to try and console you, you didnât stay in the bathroom long enough for him to hug you, opting to move back and get into bed
âWhat can I do to help you in this moment sweet girl?â
You shrugged and it was like all resolve left you
âNothing. I donât want anything, thereâs nothing that can help, Iâm giving up, I want to just be in pain in bed, alone and god I donât fucking know!â
The minute you heard a soft whimper and a quiet âmommaâŠ?â your heart stopped and you cursed quietly to yourself, looking over to see Arlie, mr.duck clutched in her arms as her bottom lip wobbled, her eyes glassy
âHi my loveâŠcome inâ
âWhy you yelling mommaâŠ? donât like it.â
She walked close enough for you to help her on the bed, her little arm covering your bump and she rested against you
âIâm sorry duck, I didnât mean to scare you, Momma just isnât feeling well thatâs allâŠâ
Chris watched quietly sitting at your feet, his hand squeezing your ankle gently
âI sâowwy you not feeling well mommaâŠI can help you feel better!â
A tired smile showed on your face as you rubbed a hand over her head, the frustration leaving your body only to be replaced with that sinking feeling of sadness and dread
âI bet you could my love..â
Chris could see the sudden drop your mood, leaning over to tickle Arlieâs little feet, a giggle filling the room
âCome on baby girl, letâs go make some of Mommaâs favourite snacks, maybe do some art for her?â
Arlie sat up nodding her head before kissing your head softly
âBye momma! Be back soon!!â
She ran off towards the hallway, Chris couldnât help the laugh he let out watching her excitement at the idea of helping cheer her momma up, truth be told he wanted to help his wife in any way he could
âIâm sorry iâm being such a horrible wife and mom..I donât know how you still stand to be around meâ
It was instantaneous how his hands reached to hold your face, your eyes shifting to meet his
âI love you, I love you so much I would do anything for you, you know thatâŠright?â
After you nodded he continued
âYou are the best mother to Arlie and our little guy, and you are the best wife a man could ever ask for. I know things have been so incredibly hard, and youâre in a lot of pain, so much so that I wish we could swap places because seeing you hurting like this and not knowing how to help you is killing me..â
You hadnât even realized youâd started crying until he swiped his thumb across your cheeks
âI-Iâve been so horrible to youâŠâ
âYouâve been frustrated, in pain and going through a really rough time, I havenât taken any of that to heart because I know that isnât youâŠwhat I do want is for us to work together to help you get comfortable, and to help this beautiful brain of yours feel better..â
Chris moved to pull you into his side, his lips pressing a few kisses to your temple
âDADDY âHUWWY UP I NEED HELP!!â
You let out a soft laugh, the first one in a few weeks and Chris joined you, leaning down to press a kiss to your lips
âI missed that sound, weâre gonna take care of you and figure this out I promise you, now I believe little miss and I have some work to do to get our favourite girl feeling betterâ
âI love you ChrisâŠâ
He stopped at the door, turning to send you a smile
âI love you more sweet girlâ
It was nowhere near over, you were nowhere near that happy and bubbly woman youâd once been, and that was okay. For the first time in 3 weeks you felt a little less down, the weigh on your shoulders eased the slightest amount. Although it still hurt and you were still struggling, knowing you had your little girl and your ever so sweet husband in your corner, made things a tiny bit lighterâŠand youâd take itđ€

*Le Gasp* is momma pregnant again!! Oh my goodness what was Chris reaction to the second pregnancy!
Baby Ducks
Chris Evans x Wife!Reader (Little Duck AUđ„đ)
Summary: What's better than one duckling? Two of them, and with the help of Arlie, the Evan's family just grew by 1 more little Duckie
Warnings: non, just fluffy sweet adorableness, Arlie is a sweet bean
A/N: surprise everyone...the Evans family is growing <3
Word Count: 1,074
For the past couple weeks you'd been feeling a little off, and being someone who was so in tune with their body, it wasn't hard to guess what could be the reason. Whether it was your sudden irritability to the smallest things, your stomach hating the though of certain foods or your sensitive and slightly painful breasts, you determined it might be a good time to take a pregnancy test. You and Chris had been talking about having another baby over the past few years, and with Arlie turning four in a couple months, you'd argue it was essentially the perfect time to add another baby Evans to the mix. You eventually psyched yourself up and wandered into the bathroom to grab one of the many extra tests you had around after a few pregnancy situations
âWhatever happens, itâll be okayâÂ
You said that to yourself twice, a mantra you had with Chris when you were trying for Arlie Mae. Once you took the test you set it down and made a timer for 3 minutes, as per the instructions on the box. As you sat in the bathroom you couldnât help the smile that spread across your face, the thoughts of two little ducks running around and experiencing life together was enough to bring early tears to your eyes. Taking a deep breath when the timer went off you stood up and looked at the test, a hand covering your mouth when you saw the very clear pregnant 4+ on the screen.
You were having another baby.
-
Youâd spend about 4 days getting ready to tell Chris, who luckily hadnât figured out anything was wrong, and of course you got Arlie to help you with the surprise
âArlie baby?âÂ
You wandered down the hall to her playroom where you could hear blocks being builtÂ
âIn here momma!â
Her little voice called back to you as you found your way to the door, her face scrunched in concentration as she attempted to build a massive tower out of rainbow build blocks
âHi little duck, thatâs a nice towerâ
âThank you, momma, is so big!â
You laughedÂ
âIt sure is, think you can pause and help me with something?â
She paused her movements nodding her head and smiling, she loved helping you with everything, whether it was baking, feeding the ducks out back or helping you put away groceries
âI can help momma!â
You chuckled at her enthusiasm reaching for her hand before bringing her into your bedroom, a yellow t-shit lying flat on your comforter
âOkay, momma has something to tell you, but we canât tell daddy, okay?â
âLike a âsupise?â
You smiled kissing her foreheadÂ
âYeah baby, a surpriseâÂ
You picked up the shirt and kneeled down to her height, getting her to put it on, it had two ducklings on the front of it and said âDuckling Number Two on The Way, Big Sister Arlieâ in black writing, with a thick enough font to read it without any issues
âDo you remember when we talked about brothers and sisters? How momma carried you in my belly?â
Arlie nodded waiting for you to continueÂ
âWell, youâre going to be a big sister Arlie, mommaâs got a little baby in her tummy right nowâ
You watched the gears turn in her little head as she thought over what you said before giggling excitedly, reaching to put her hands on your still flat stomach
âThere a baby in here momma?â
Her eyes were full of curiosity, and you just about cried watching her hug your waist to press her ear to listen
âYeah honey, there is, your little brother or sisterâÂ
âI love âem mommaâÂ
You wrapped your arms around her and pressed a kiss to her cheekÂ
âOh, youâre so sweet my little duck, come on, we have to go show daddy your shirtâ
That caught her attention, and she clapped her hands leaving your room with you in tow behind her. Chris was down in the kitchen figuring out lunch for his two girls when he heard the familiar sound of her feet on the hardwood
âDaddy!!!â
Arlie rounded the corner, and you stood back, remaining by the entryway to the kitchen, a bright smile on Chrisâs face when you both entered the room
âHey little duck! Whatcha been up too baby?âÂ
Arlie giggled before standing in front of himÂ
âMe and momma have âsupise for you!â
âOh really?â
He looked up to you and sent you a wink, you were trying to hold back tears at this point, the excitement coursing through youÂ
âShow him your shirt Arlieâ
Arlie looked down at her shirt, pulling it out a bit for him to read it, as soon as he did, his head snapped up and his gaze met yours, tears finally making their way down your cheeksÂ
âYouâre kidding!âÂ
âSurprise handsome...â
Arlie looked between her parents before letting out a squealÂ
âMomma has a baby in her belly daddy!âÂ
Chris bent down to pick her up and press a kiss to her cheeks, holding her close as he made his way to youÂ
âShe does huh? Youâre gonna be a big sister arenât you little duckâÂ
When Chris made it to you, he pulled you into his chest, hugging you tightly to him, pulling back to press a firm kiss to your lips, he was over the moon, a second baby with the woman of his dreams?Â
âI canât believe it angel, another babyâŠâ
You let out a tearful laugh, wiping your eyes, Arlieâs hand coming to do the same thing, which only made you want cry moreÂ
âI love youâŠI canât wait to experience this with you Chrisâ
He kissed your forehead, still trying to wrap his head around the newsÂ
âI love you too, both of my girls, weâre gonna have another baby!â
Arlie laughed when Chris started peppering both yours and her face with kisses, his beard tickling your skin, the three of you enjoying being this close to one another, sharing the joy in the moment before Arlie spoke upÂ
âMomma and daddy got two duckies now!â
Laughter filled the kitchen, and you held Arlie close to you, she was right, you two had your first little duck, and now you were getting another one. Four years after the light of your life came into the world you were now celebrating the impending arrival of the second. The rest of the day spent sharing stories of baby Arlie, looking through albums, and of course the resurrection of overprotective dad to be Chris, though in your opinion, he never really left.Â

The Night From Hell (Little Duck auđŁ)
pairing: Chris Evans x Female Reader (Momma Evans) x Arlie Mae
summary: Chris never in a million years thought heâd get a phone call like the one he got as he sat down to feel Wesley, and his whole world shatteredâŠ
warnings: angst angst angst, injuries more on momma than arlie, mentions of drunk driving, medical terminology, a bit of comfort and fluff
a/n: idk why iâve been hooked on this idea, but here it is, angst filled teehee, donât worry iâll give the family a break for a while after this and only write fluff but for now, enjoy đ«¶đ»
word count: 2,067
The loud ringing in your ears seemed to get louder and louder the more aware and awake youâd become, still strapped in the driverâs seat, your neck stinging painfully, and judging by the seatbelts tight hold on you, it had burned your neck. You knew for certain you had blacked out, but for how long? That was still undetermined. Everything ached, your ribs, back, not to mention your head which had started to pound repeatedly, but what snapped you out of your haze were Arlieâs cries from the backseat
âM-Momma!â
âIâm here babyâŠIâm gonna get you out my love, are you hurt?â
âY-yes, owie mommaâ
Biting your lip to keep from crying out yourself, you unstrapped the seatbelt, sirens now filling the space around you as you managed to get out and limp over to open the back door. When you got it open, Arlie reached for you, eyes bloodshot, but thankfully she looked okay, a few scratches on her arms and cheek from broken glassÂ
âMomma you bleedingâ
âI-I know my love, Iâm okay, weâre okay thoughâ
You pulled her into your arms before sitting on the asphalt against the back tire, if there was anything you were thankful for right now it was for Volvo and how amazing the cars they made were, all you could see was a mangled mess of metal from the other car that hit you, but yours, albeit messed up, still looked somewhat decent
âWant daddy, I want daddy momma!â
An ambulance, followed by fire and police showed up, paramedics getting out and jogging in your direction, but you could feel yourself fading slowly
âD-Daddy will be here soon baby..p-promise..â
âMomma? Momma!!â
You had tried to fight the feeling youâd been getting while sitting against your car with Arlie holding onto you, but her voice was the last thing youâd heard before passing out, and it looked like you werenât going to be waking up
-
Arlie was crying and shaking your arm trying to get you up, she was frantic and at only 4 years old she didnât know what to do, she was terrified as she watched you fall and hit the pavement, her screams causing two paramedics to run overÂ
âHi honey, hey little one, can you tell me your name sweetie?â
Arlie looked towards the young medic who crouched down to her while her partner rushed to your side to make sure you were breathingÂ
âHelp Momma pwease!â
âAlright honey, weâre gonna help your mommy, but can you tell me your name...?â
âA-Arlieâ
The medic smiledÂ
âHi Arlie, Iâm Jess, itâs nice to meet youâÂ
Jess paused before a few other people came to get you situated on a stretcher, which only caused more panic to build in little Arlieâs chestÂ
âArlie, we are going to ride with your mom in the ambulance, okay? Weâre going to check out your little cuts and get them nice and clean, okay?â
Jess held her arms out slowly and Arlie was quick to enter her embrace so she could pick Arlie up and walk with her behind the stretcherÂ
âWant my daddyâ
âWe can call him when we get inside okay?â
Arlie nodded and they both got into the back of the ambulance and watched as you were hooked up to a few monitors and had begun to get IVs placed along your arms all while Arlie had to watch you lay silent, and that is what scared her the most, sheâd never seen her momma like this at allâŠshe was too quietâŠway too quiet
-
Chris had just put Wesley down for bed when his phone went off again, ringing from the countertop in the kitchen downstairs, heâd heard it go off once a few minutes ago, and couldnât get too it, so he jogged down the stairs, turning the phone to see an unknown number
âHello?â
âHi is this Mr. Evans?â
Chris had started to feel anxious before heâd picked up the phone but now that feeling started to riseÂ
âYes, this is him, can I ask whoâs calling?â
âThis is Jess McNeil, Iâm a paramedic with the Newton County fire department, Iâm a paramedic, thereâs been an accident involving your wife and daughterâ
There is no singular word or feeling to describe just how Chris felt in this moment, the sheer panic as he moved over to open his laptop, sending his mother a series of texts, the urgency in them telling her to come to the house as soon as possible. If Chris ended up going into Boston tonight, he didnât want Wesley to be in a hospital around sick people, nor did he think he could hold it together enough for his son
âI-Wait howâd this happen, are they alright? Where are you headed, are they hurt bad...?â
âMr. Evans, I assure you we are doing everything we possibly can for your wife right now, I canât discuss all the details over the phone, but she is in critical condition as we speak, we are heading towards Massachusetts General Hospital, your daughter is fine, minor injuriesâ
Chris went to ask another question or try to get any more information on your condition when he heard his sweet little girlâs voice come through the speakerÂ
âDaddy, you there daddy?â
He sniffled quietly, his emotions no longer being held back
âIâm here baby, Iâm here Arlie, are you okay duck?â
âI scared daddy, can you come get me and momma pweaseâŠdonât wike it hereâŠtoo loudâ
The fear in her voice and slight tremble in speech making his heart clench tighter in his chestÂ
âIâm going to come see you and momma right now, youâll be okay baby I promise, you stay with Jess until I get there, okay? I promise, I love you so much Arlie Maeâ
âI love you daddyâ
For the next couple minutes while Chris gathered a bag with clothes and pyjamas for himself, Arlie and you, theyâd stayed on the phone until his mother arrived at the house, only then did Chris hang up and make his way into Wesleyâs room to kiss his forehead whispering a quiet âI love you so muchâ before going down to explain everything to Lisa and the night his little family was in for
-
Chris had never driven into Boston as fast as he did tonight, his car screeching into the parking lot at Mass Gen as he slid it into park, the emergency room lights casting a hue amidst the puddles of rain in the parking lot. Heâd slung the bag of clothes over his shoulder before jogging to the entrance, it didnât take him long to find Arlie first who was sitting with Jess playing with a puzzle and some blocksÂ
âOh, thank godâŠâ
Arlie turned and jumped up instantly taking off towards ChrisÂ
âDaddy!âÂ
âHi baby, oh god, thank you godâŠyouâre okay babyâ
He took her into his arms instantly as she clung to him, Chris never wanted to let her go, but pulled back after a few minutes to inspect her cheek were a band aid lay, covering one of the bigger cuts
âIâm so happy youâre okay Arlie, I was so worriedâ
Chris pressed a few kisses to her forehead before turning to smile at Jess whoâd made her way over to say goodbye as her team was going back outÂ
âThank you so much, for looking after my girlsâŠI canât thank you enoughâ
Jess smiled and noddedÂ
âOf course, Arlie is a great storyteller, and if itâs any ease to your mind, your wife was awake when we arrived, Iâm sure theyâll have a room for her soonâ
Chris nodded and sent her a small smile, thanking her once again before he and Arlie chose an uncrowded corner to sit in, letting her change into some pyjamas before she curled up next to Chris, opting to watch a show quietly on his phone while they both waited for any news on your condition, right now it felt like theyâd be waiting all night.Â
-
You were more than aware of the situation you were in, the hospital bed far less comfortable than your own, the steady beeping from the monitor attached to your heart, the drip of the ivâs every few seconds, you felt like shit, there was no sugar coating that at all. Thankfully you didnât end up needing surgery at all, and youâd been getting settled into this room when a knock at the door paused your movements to get comfortableÂ
âMrs. Evans, I have some guests here to see you, theyâve been waiting very patientlyâ
You knew immediately who it was and nodded, still not trusting of your voice just yet. A tired smile on your face when the door opened further and Arlie stood there with Chris, her little eyes lighting up instantlyÂ
âMomma!!â
She ran to you, and you could already feel the tears spill gently down your cheeks, everything was so overwhelmingÂ
âH-Hi my babyâ
Chris came over shortly after, tears in his eyes as well
âArlie, remember, gentle with Momma for the next while okay?â
She turned and nodded at her dad before holding your hand gently, Chris moving to the other side to lean down and press a kiss to your forehead
âHi handsome, sorry for the little scareâ
He couldnât help the quiet laugh that escaped him, knowing you were trying to bring some slight humour to the situation, it was too hard to look at this any differently. Arlie had managed to climb into the bed beside you, laying her head on your shoulder gently, just wanting to be close to you
âMomma, can we go home pwease?â
âWell, my love, I canât go home just yet, Iâve got some pretty big owies I need looked at, but you and daddy can go home anytimeâÂ
You could see Chris tense slightly out of the corner of your eye, you knew he wouldnât want to leave, but what you didnât expect was Arlie to shake her head, and hold the hospital gown you had on tighter in her hands, a soft yawn spilling outÂ
âI stay if momma staysâŠâ
You smiled watching her closer her eyes as her voice trailed off, this was the last place youâd ever thought the two of you would end up, but you were more than grateful youâd gotten the worst of it, you didnât know what you would have done if this was Arlie in your place instead of youÂ
âThe uh doctor, told me all your injuries, but said we should be able to leave in a few days...â
âChris?â
He looked at you, the anxiety swimming behind his tired eyes, you could see right through him every time, but this was the first time youâd ever seen him this scared
âIâm okay baby, I know youâre scared, and anxiousâŠI want to let you feel those feelings, but Iâm right here, Iâm okay, Arlie is okayâ
He nodded leaning his head on your thigh as he gripped your hand gently, squeezing it to find more comfortÂ
âI thought I lost you bothâŠand-and then when the medic told me you were in critical condition, I thought I was l-losing you Y/NâŠgod when I got that callâŠmy ma is home with Wes, I drove straight hereâ
âI can only imagine how that felt, truth be told I really donât remember much other than getting Arlie out of the carâŠgod that car saved our lives Chrisâ
Chris pulled his head back to look at you once again, just taking everything in, almost as if youâd disappear, and you almost had tonightÂ
âI love you, and I love Arlie so fucking much I need you to know that, and I need you to know Iâll make sure you both get better, and get any help you need, no matter what it takesâÂ
Bringing a hand up to cup his cheek softly you nodded, no words needed to be exchanged as Chris leaned into your touch, feeling grateful that soon heâd be able to take his two favourite girls home. He never ever wanted to feel what he had tonight, and how he felt when he got that call, so as he watched his wife and daughter sleep, he called Lisa to fill her in, and let her know everything would be okay, heâd make sure of it.Â

Welcome Home Arlie Mae (Little Duck au)
pairing: chris evans x wife reader (momma e)
summary: youâve finally been cleared to bring arlie mae home, and you and chris couldnât be happier
warnings: slight mention of post partum struggles, but mostly just very sweet goodness
a/n: iâve been wanting to write this for a while and i hope you guys enjoy thisđ
Today was the day you and Chris had been waiting for since youâd found out you were expecting your first child together. After 30 hours in labour followed by four days in the hospital, you were finally bringing home your little baby girl Arlie Mae Evans. She was quite tiny weighing in at five pounds three ounces, part of the reason youâd spent a few extra days in the maternity ward. Despite your reassurance to Chris telling him he could go home to sleep in your own bed, he declined, stating he was much happier here with his girls. Lisa and your mom had been amazing, getting the house ready for your arrival, meals prepped and ready so you wouldnât have to worry about cooking, Lisa had even taken Dodger back to her house for a few days to let you three get settled and accommodated to your new lives with a little baby.
Arlie truly lit up Chrisâs entire life from the moment she was born, to watching her breastfeed for the first time, and now as he watched you tuck her gently into her car seat, a soft beige blanket over her as it was the beginning of April, and it was still a bit cold out. You were definitely still in some pain, and you knew it would be a few months before you were feeling back to normal and like yourself, truth be told you were willing to go through all the highs and lows because of how special your little girl was to you already.Â
âAlright, you ready to go momma?â
Smiling you nodded, reaching over to grab the baby and hospital bag youâd packed, Chris was quick to interjectÂ
âIâve got it honeyâ
You watched as he slung it over his shoulder before picking Arlie up with his free hand and reaching for your hand with his otherÂ
âThank you my loveâ
âNo need to be thanking me y/n, I should be thanking you for bringing our girl into our livesâ
You felt your cheeks flush at the sentiment before walking with Chris towards the exit and to find your car in the parking lot. Arlie stayed fast asleep the whole time, you had read that newborns tend to sleep a lot and eat a lot, so you figured sheâd stay sleeping until you arrived home, or at least you hoped.Â
Once you found your SUV, Chris made quick work of putting the bags in the front passenger seat, handing you the car seat with Arlie for a few moments before taking her from you and making sure she was clicked safely into the base that sat tethered in the backseat. Chris had made sure to order the top of the line for everything when it came to Arlie, even getting it professionally installed so he knew she would be extra safe.
âI canât believe weâre going home as a family of three nowâŠâ
Chris looked back and sent a smile your way before he got out of the back to press a kiss to your foreheadÂ
âMe either, it still feels like a dream to meâÂ
Nodding in agreement he helped you into the backseat so you could take your place beside Arlie, he helped buckle you in too before closing the door and getting into the car. Glancing back once more at the two of you in the backseat, he started the car and took off towards home, only this time like you said, you were going home as a family of three.
-
The house smelt like spring, fresh flowers placed neatly around your space, some being gifts from friends and family, you never failed to feel spoiled with all the love and warmth both of your families provided for each other. For the first few months the very gorgeous nursery you and Chris spent months on would remain empty until Arlie was old enough to sleep on her own. Sheâd sleep in the bassinet youâd bought to sit right next to your side of the bed, making it easier for feedings and keeping an eye on her.
As soon as youâd gotten home Chris wanted to show her around, which let you get settled on the couch, leaning back into the soft cushions which after laying in a stiff hospital mattress, felt like lounging on a cloudÂ
âHere is the kitchen, where daddy and momma are gonna make you lots of yummy food and snacksâŠyou can have whatever you want princessâ
Listening to Chris as he walked around with Arlie tucked into his arms bringing a smile to your face, you could hear him taking her throughout your home to show her around, even if she was too little to really know what was going on at all
âThis is the living room, we have lots of comfy spots for you baby, and oh look, thereâs momma over there, sheâs so beautifulâ
Arlie squirmed slightly and let out a little noise, Chris smiling down at her and you swore to yourself youâd never seen him more in his element than he was right nowÂ
âYou excited to see momma?â
She made a little whimper before slowly waking up and you knew she was getting hungryÂ
âI think sheâs excited to see my boobs babe...â
Chris laughed shaking his head before bringing her over to you, waiting until your shirt was pulled up enough before giving Arlie to you, who was quick to latch on and start eating. She had no problems latching or eating from the moment she was born, but you knew youâd probably opt to bottle feed and breastfeed to give Chris an option to feed her, as well as any family or friends that would come over.
You smoothed a finger along her head gently watching as she ate quietly, you couldnât believe how perfect she was, and how 9 months of waiting could bring you so much joy. It was no secret that both you and Chris were extremely happy in this moment, you werenât ignoring your doctors notes about postpartum depression and other postpartum hormone drops, Chris was more than prepared to step in and help when needed, and you knew the signs to look out for. For now, though, in this moment you just wanted to stay right where you were, with your little girl, and with your favourite man in the entire world, you had all you could ever want and more right in front of you, and it was a memory you were forever going to cherish.Â
"I love you both so much, thank you for bringing Arlie into our family"
Leaning your head onto his shoulder, careful not to disturb the newborn as she ate you peered up at him, eyes filled with nothing but adoration
"Thank you for supporting us every step of the way, we're very lucky to have you baby, we love you so much"
A kiss being pressed to your lips was enough to seal the moment you two shared, and knowing there would be many more where that came from, you hoped these little milestones and Arlie memories would stay within your mind for as long as you both were around.

Sick Baby Duck (Little Duck AUđ„đ)
Pairing: Chris Evans x Wife Reader (Momma E) x Arlie Mae
Summary: After waiting it out for the day to see if Arlie would get better, but when she doesnât itâs time for a trip to the hospital so your little duck
Warnings: a bit of angst, mentions of hospitals and sickness, sad Arlie, worried momma and Chris
a/n: happy Monday everyone, I hope to get to fics out today since itâs my one day off from classes, so stay tuned for that! Things are very weird for me right now and I kind of feel like ass but itâs fine! I also feel like this sucks and my writing it bad again LOLÂ
Word Count: 1,416
Arlieâs been sick a handful of times so you and Chris are no stranger to the common cold or flu that would spread throughout your household, but this was something you had yet to experience as parents. Arlie had been coughing all day but as time went on it turned into something very nasty and unmanageable, she was running a high fever, and if she wasnât sleeping, she was in the worst discomfort and pain youâd ever seen her in. She was down for a nap once again after taking some more medicine, both you and Chris sat in the living room trying to figure out your next plan and what to do with your little sick baby
âI think we should go to the hospital, sheâs not getting better and itâs really worrying meâ
You nodded
âI think thatâs smart, Iâll pack a bag with a few things, and we can goâ
âNo, youâre not comingâ
The urge to smack Chris was strong when he decided to say that, but you crossed your arms and sent a glare his way
âExcuse me?â
âYouâre pregnant, heavily might I add, and going into a building with lot of sick people is not a good ideaâ
You shook your headÂ
âI love you Chris, but I am not staying here while you leave and take our daughter to the emergency room. Not a fucking chance. So, Iâm gonna go pack the bag, and bring a few masks with me, and thatâs final.âÂ
Getting up from the couch you heard the sigh he let out, knowing he wouldnât argue with you too much, you decided to pack a few things and change into a comfier outfit than what you had on. Chris was only looking out for you, and you knew that, but there was no way in hell you were going to sit at home and wait around while Arlie was headed to the emergency room.
-
Despite getting to go to the hospital, Chris made you wait in the car which caused another argument but in the end you decided to give up and wait for them there, he was supposed to call you when they were being seen by a doctor so you could come in, but he sent you photos of him and Arlie cuddled up in the waiting room with a fuzzy blanket over the two of them. Arlieâs eyes were red and puffy from crying. It was only about 45 minutes until Chris called you, putting two masks on you quickly exited the car and found your way through the waiting room and over to the nurse standing with Chris and Arlie
âm-momma hold pweaseâ
You frowned at the sadness in her voice before reaching out to take her into your armsÂ
âIâve got you baby, weâll get you feeling betterâ
The sounds of her coughs and the stuffiness in her nose made your heart break, little whimpers escaping her ever few minutes. You were so thankful it didnât take long to get in to see a doctor, and it ended up being Arlieâs regular paediatrician Dr.Charlie
âWell, this is a surprise, hi guys, whatâs going on?â
Chris looked at you before sitting up straighter in his chairÂ
âArlieâs been getting sick the past few days, and today itâs gotten worse, she has a pretty nasty sounding cough, and Iâve noticed her struggling to breathe sometimes, that with a fever that will not go away, the only time I feel like she isnât uncomfortable is when sheâs asleepâ
Dr. Charlie frowned nodding her head as she looked at Arlie who was resting against your shoulder, making a few notes before grabbing her stethoscopeÂ
âAlright, well that does worry be so what I am going to do is listen to her chest and her lungs to see if I can figure out the reason behind whatâs got her feeling so ickyâ
You nodded and sat Arlie up which she wasnât too happy about, a pout on her faceÂ
âHi Arlie, can I listen to your chest sweet girl?â
She nodded and Dr. Charlie began to take a listen, getting Arlie to take deep breaths if she could, listening intently before going through a routine check-up, a few coughing fits had her doctor frowningÂ
âAlright, well her fever is certainly high but luckily enough I can administer some medication to bring that down a bit, Iâd recommend giving her a lukewarm bath when you get home, I know itâs late, but it will help.â
You nodded, Chris placing his hand on your knee, squeezing it for some comfort
âI think she has an upper respiratory infection mixed with a sinus infection, so I am going to send you home with some pretty heavy medication for her because I donât want this to get any worse, itâs pretty severe as it is now, but I also donât think we need to keep her here overnightâ
âOkay, thank you do much Dr. Charlie, we really appreciate itâ
She sent you a small smileÂ
âOf course, now I will say with you being far along with your pregnancy, and your due date coming up soon, you shouldnât be as involved when sheâs this sick, we just canât risk anything with the babyâ
Even though you knew she was going to suggest that it still broke your heart, and you couldnât help the tears that lined the bottom of your eyesÂ
âI understand...â
Dr. Charlie sent you a sad smile before Chris got up to take Arlie from you, pulling his mask down for a moment to press a quick kiss to your forehead. You collected the medication from Arlieâs doctor before taking a few more notes from her and leaving the hospital, it wasnât the most amazing news in the world, but you were more than happy to have a solution to get your baby feeling better.Â
-
Chris could tell you were in a bad mood once he put Arlie down to bed after her bath and a few doses of her new medicine, you were all pouty in bed rubbing some oil on your very large belly, a nightly routine that Chris often loved to watch you completeÂ
âBaby?â
You looked up at himÂ
âHmm?âÂ
âI know youâre upset with the news from the doctor, but I hope you know itâs only to keep you safe and keep the little man healthyâŠI hate seeing you so downâ
You shrugged moving to get your cream, but Chris beat you to it before applying it to your legs, massaging the tensions out of your calves and then down to your feet, even if you were frustrated you couldnât help the happy sighs that left your lips as his knuckles pushed into your heelÂ
âI just feel helpless, I know sheâll be okay because she has you to take care of her, but I have never sat out like thisâŠâ
He hummed in responseÂ
âI know, but my mom and your mom are coming over in the morning to help out and you can still be around her baby, you just need to wear a mask to keep you and the monkey safe, okay?âÂ
âOkayâ
Chris leaned forward to press a kiss to your lips, a goofy smile on his face when you both pulled backÂ
âHow about you lay on your side, and Iâll give you a back massage to make you feel better honey?â
You pretended to think about it for a secondÂ
âI mean I canât say no to thatâŠâ
His laugh filled the room for a few seconds before you got comfy, and he started to work on all the sore spots that littered your upper and lower back. The news from tonight wasnât the news any parents would love to receive but you knew Arlie had the best dad in the world and Chris would be the best nurse for her, not to mention the loving support of both your mother-in-law and your own mother. You couldnât help but feel a little helpless at the fact that you were told to stay away from your baby girl so you wouldnât get sick, but you knew deep down with the due date of your baby boy coming up, you and Chris didnât want to risk a thing. So, if you had to settle for watching Arlie get better at a bit of a distance, youâd do just that, no matter how hard it would be.Â

Hands Off My Momma! (Little Duck AUđ„đ)
Pairing: dad! Chris Evans x Momma Evans (Female Reader)
Summary: Everyone at the Middlesex County DAâs office knows Matthew, and I mean everyone, and sadly so do you. He will not leave you alone, no matter what you say do, so what happens when Chris and your daughter stop by your office for lunch? Letâs just say Little Duck is ready to fight for her Momma, whatever it takes
Warnings: slight angst? Matthew is a butthead, protective Arlie and Chris
A/N: This took me way to long to get out so I apologize, I am going to try and get a head start on some of the other long requests, so be on the lookout for those! This is short and bad but happy reading!!
Word Count: 834
The office was unusually quiet today, though you wouldnât complain considering youâd just finished up your last major case for the next few weeks, so youâd take quiet over the insanity it usually was. The only thing that wasnât so quiet were the knocks that hit your door, part of you already knew who it was, but you wanted to see if ignoring him would get him to leaveÂ
âThereâs my favourite lawyer in the building!â
You rolled your eyes, four seconds away from filing a workplace harassment claim against him. Whoâs him you might ask, well that would be Matthew Wheeler, one of the assistant district attorneys that worked at your buildingÂ
âWhat can I do for you Mr.Wheeler?â
He took a seat in front of you, yet your eyes remained on your computer screen, going through a few last minute filingsÂ
âWow, so formal, I thought we were on a more personal level at this pointâ
âNope.â
He hummed drumming his fingers on your desk which by the sixth time made you look at him, your expression one of annoyanceÂ
âAh there she is, so I was thinking, me and you, lunch?â
You smiled eyes lighting up as you watched him get his hopes up
âOh, wow really?â
âYeah really, want to go?â
Putting a hand over your heart, you stared him dead in the eyes, it was honestly quite comical how easily gullible this man wasÂ
âNo. Iâm married, now go away.â
He scoffed crossing his arms as you once again waved your engagement and wedding band in his faceÂ
âSo? That doesnât deter me.â
âWell, it should.â
You got up grabbing the keys to the copy room since you had some papers waiting for you at the printers, when you walked around your desk, Matthew grabbed your hand tightly in his making you stopÂ
âWhat the hell do you think youâre doing?â
âJust one chance, married or not, one chance, one lunch please.â
You scoffed and before you could say anything you heard little feet running down the hall and all of a sudden Arlie was sending little punches to Matthewâs leg
âHands off my momma!!âÂ
You almost wanted to laugh but quickly picked her up shushing her softly as her little fists clenched, her eyes narrowed at the stranger that was bothering her mom
âI was going to say the same thing, but my daughter beat me to it.âÂ
Matthew rolled his eyes going to leave and Chris stopped himÂ
âYou ever bother my wife again, I donât care what form, Iâll ruin your life.â
Arlie crossed her arms watching him leave before utteringÂ
âStupid meanie head.â
âArlie MaeâŠâ
She looked at you and smiled innocentlyÂ
âHi momma!â
After laughing you covered her face in kisses before sending a smile to Chris before he pressed his lips to yours
âMy knights in shining armour, what are you two doing here?â
âWanna go for lunch momma?â
You thought about it for a momentÂ
âYou know I am kind of hungry, and you two are my favourite lunch datesâŠjust give me a second to pack upâ
You put Arlie down on the ground before pulling Chris in for a hugÂ
âThank you for that, Iâm going to talk to Michelle about it tomorrow and get him firedâ
âGood, Iâm glad, youâre welcome honeyâÂ
You packed up some files to take home, stuffing your laptop and any other small knick knacks you needed in your bag, sending a note to your assistant to grab the paperwork at the printers, thankfully it wasnât super importantÂ
âMomma you âweady to go?â
âI am little love, where are we going to eat?â
Arlie took one of your hands while Chris took the other and together you walked out of the building and down to the car, Arlie humming the whole time as she thought about what she was hungry for. Right as you finished buckling her into her car seat she clappedÂ
âSushi and stringy noodles!âÂ
You chuckled, knowing she was talking about the small sushi and yakisoba restaurant you three loved, and if you were being honest, sushi sounded super good right nowÂ
âThat sounds perfect my loveâ
You got into the passenger side of the car, and Chris got in soon after, reaching to take your hand when you were both settled, the car starting upÂ
âThank you for the lunch surprise, I love youâ
He smiled, bringing your hand up to his lips to press a kiss to your palmÂ
âI love you, and I love surprising you, even if I have to threaten someone to do itâ
Your laughter filled the car as you began to drive off towards downtown Boston, you were so grateful for this little family of yours, and especially to your spitfire of a little girl. Arlie was just like her daddy in that sense, theyâd always protect you no matter what, and just because she was a toddler, didnât mean she didnât pack a mean punch.

Mommaâs Special Surprise For Arlie (Little Duck auđŁ)
pairing: Momma Evans (Female Reader) x Arlie Mae x Chris Evans
summary: Momma has a very special present for Arlie, and she got some help from some very special friends
warnings: none just fluffy goodness
a/n: iâm really excited about this little fic, iâve been wanting to write it for a while so here it isđ«¶đ»
You had been planning this surprise for a few months now, Arlie was absolutely gutted when you couldnât go see Harry Styles in concert when he was in the United States. Despite her best smiles, you knew it gutted her not being able to see her favourite singer, but thankfully youâd been talking to Chris for a while trying to plan something. Harry would start his last leg of Love on Tour in May, and you reached out to him right away asking if there was any chance he could find you tickets to watch his shows in London at Wembley Stadium.
~
âI really want to do this for her Chris, I know London is far, and itâll be expensiveâŠI think it would make her really happyâ
Chris nodded, his arms around you as you sat out on the back patio
âWhy donât we make a family trip out of it?â
âReally?!â
You were elated, eyes wide as you looked at him, a chuckle escaping his lips
âYeah why not, we havenât gone anywhere in a while, Arlieâs well behaved, Wes is still small enough to keep close to us, you and duck can go to the shows and Wes and I can get up to some boy stuffâ
Laughing you pressed a kiss to his lips, clapping in excitement because letâs be honest, you were just as excited to be going to see Harry Styles live on tour
âI love you, thank you babyâ
âAnything for my girlsâ
~
That brought you to today, setting up the living room with snacks for an afternoon tea party at Arlieâs request, Canyon Moon playing softly throughout your home, Wesley down for a nap.
âArlie my girl, everythingâs all set up, and Mommaâs got a surprise for youâ
She came in the room helping Chris carry over the tea which was really organic apple juice
âSâupise for me momma?!â
âYeah for you babyâ
Arlie smiled and Chris set the drinks down on the table before she sat cross legged beside you, her eyes bright and full of excitement
âSo momma and daddy have been planning something for us as a family, we were thinking of going away on a tripâ
âWike we did the beach?â
You nodded
âExactly baby, but we arenât going to the beach this timeâ
âWhere we go momma?â
Chris had pulled out his phone to start filming secretly
âWell we are going to a city called London baby, itâs in a country called the United Kingdomâ
Arlie blinked raising her eyebrows
âThat the one with the big clock momma?â
âYep, Big Ben baby, you rememberedâ
Arlie smiled, theyâd been learning about landmarks at school, and sheâd made a mental note about Big Ben, asking Chris to go through photos of it every afternoon after school
âMomma has a surprise for you though and why we are goingâ
âWhat momma!â
You swiped a loose strand of hair behind her ear leaning forward to press a kiss to her forehead
âWell, whoâs your favourite singer?â
âHarry Styles!â
Sheâd finally managed to get the Râs in Harry down after a long time of talking about him
âMhm, well Harry and Momma have been talking, and weâre going to go see him in concertâ
âMOMMA REALLY?! REALLY MOMMA!!â
You laughed as she squealed jumping up and starting to clap
âYes my love! He wants to have you out, and he wants to say hello to you too!â
âWe gonna see Harry daddy!!â
She ran over jumping in his lap to hug him, his arms holding her to his chest
âYes we are duck! You excited? Was this a good surprise?â
âSo good! Iâm so happy daddy!!â
He pressed a few kisses to her cheeks before she bounded over to you and jumped into your arms
âFank you mommaâ
âYouâre so welcome my babyâ
She remained in your arms beginning to talk about all the idea she had and everything she wanted to see, what she wanted to say to Harry. This was priceless to see, her pure excitement and happiness at the fact that she would be seeing Harry after thinking sheâd need to wait for a while. Youâd do anything for your Arlie girl, and felt more than grateful to be able to experience these beautiful moments with your family.

Êheadcannon
Ê chris evans x momma evans x arlie mae
Ê no warnings
Ê well iâve listened and heard what youâve been missing, so hereâs a little check in with our little duckâŠiâm working on getting some more motivation to write for this au so all i ask is for a bit of patience but i see you all missing it ;)
Arlie Mae is now 6 years old and absolutely LOVING kindergarten, sheâs making so many friends, helping her teachers and starting to gain some more independence!
Wesley is a year old now, heâs walking, running and of course saying a few words here and there, though he hasnât started talking as much as they were hoping for his age so itâs something Momma and Chris are keeping an eye on!
Momma E is working from home part time as a lawyer still, sheâs taking on cases every so often and working from home has made it a lot easier to manage the kids and now that Chris is home full time they have lots of time to spend together!
They now run a full time animal rescue and sanctuary at their home! They have a small group of staff who work at the barn and have some who stay in the apartment they have above the barn for overnight watch! Though they themselves are very hands on as well!
They have another dog now too, Dodger is still as energetic as ever, and now they have a cocker spaniel named Lucy, who Arlie absolutely adores!
Arlie horseback rides now during the week, she is OBSESSED with horses and loves her riding lessons coming home and saying âmomma it was so fun!â âi jumped!â âwe should get a pony!â and sheâs been begging for her own pony, which is something you and Chris have been talking about recently.
Wesley goes to daycare, the same as Arlie three times a week to get some exposure to being around other kids and to get used to what it will be like eventually be like to go to school! Though he isnât talking a bunch yet he is super expressive and adores painting just like his sister!
Wesley also loves anything with his dad, Chris takes him out for little father and son dates and he just loves it. He would rather spend all day everyday with his father than doing anything else!
All in all the family has been doing super well and loving the settled down life, there have been talks of maybe expanding their family but for now theyâre enjoying the quietness of the country, and themselves.

Momma & Arlieâs Day Out (little duck au)
pairing: momma evans x arlie mae
summary: youâre in need of a few things before you go back to work, so why not take your little girl who also happens to be the best shopper ever<3
warnings: none very cute :)
a/n: slowly getting back on my little duck kick, sorry iâve been neglecting it, i just havenât felt like writing for chris much these days, which is unfortunate because i canât change my username LOL rip
After lots of conversations between you and your husband Chris youâd finally decided to slowly get back into working or at least advising for the time being. Youâd stepped down from being a district attorney and opened up your own firm, using your home as your office it was nice to stay close to the kids and of course to Chris. You werenât totally ready to be fully immersed back into the office and the legal world just yet, truth be told you didnât think you ever would be, but for now you could do some part time advising and contract work.
Thatâs where you found yourself this morning looking at your closet and making donate piles of things you didnât wear anymore or just didnât fit into. Arlie was home from daycare today after theyâd emailed you about a nasty bug going around, so you figured what better than to take your baby girl shopping with you. Arlie had always had a keen eye for fashion and was the best little shopping partner, so you knew it would be fun for both of you.
âArlie honey?â
Looking through her playroom and then her bedroom you couldnât find her, she was quite the hide and seek player so you knew there could be a plethora of spots she could be in
âWell donât you look beautifulâ
Smiling you spotted Chris leaning against the kitchen island, his eyes dancing around your figure
âWhy thank you handsomeâ
Chris came over pressing a kiss to your lips
âArlie is watching Bluey at the moment if youâre looking for herâ
âI am! Iâm taking her shopping with me todayâ
He laughed knowing the two of you could do some serious damage when together
âDonât give me that look! I need my baby to help me pick out a few things!â
âMhmâŠâ
Smacking his chest lightly you laughed making your way towards the living room, a smile on your face when Arlie looked your way
âHi momma!â
âHi my baby, I have a question for youâ
She pressed pause on the remote so she could look up at you
âI need some help picking out some new clothes for work, can you come with me?â
She clapped her hands letting out a noise of excitement
âYes momma! I can help you shop!! I love shoppinâ momma!â
âI know you do baby, just like me huh?â
She nodded before getting up and going over to her toy corner to grab her little purse and her shoes that rested by the back door before meeting you in the front hallway
âDaddy Iâm going shoppinâ with momma! See!â
Chris nodded crouching down to press a kiss to her cheek, fixing her laces on her shoes
âYou and momma are gonna go crazy arenât you?â
Arlie shrugged before crossing her arms and sending Chris an innocent looking smile
âMomma always says if you donât go crazy, you not shoppinâ rightâ
You couldnât help the laugh that bubbled in your throat, a hand over your mouth as Chris raised an eyebrow in your direction
âThatâs right my girl, so letâs shop till we drop!â
âBye bye daddy, love you!â
Chris shook his head
âLove you girls too, be safeâ
-
When you and Arlie shopped, you could really go for hours, she had helped you pick out some new suits, all colourful because in Arlieâs eyes âmomma needs to be a rainbow.â So it was needless to say that Chris was not surprised about the amount of bags you two had brought back, Arlie having her own, and of course youâd picked up a few things for Wesley and Chris. Anytime you and Arlie hit the mall up you usually ended up buying a few things for everyone
âDaddy we got so much!!â
âI can see that baby, did you have fun with momma?â
âMhm, gonna go put my bags away!â
Chris laughed watching her run towards her room, bags hitting her little legs and the walls as she went, his eyes then moving back to you
âDid you have a good day honey?â
âWe did! I picked up a few things, tried not to go too crazy..â
It wasnât as if money was a problem for your family, you and Chris both had good careers that brought in the money and the two of you were more than grateful to live a very comfortable life, but you still every so often got worried that Chris would get uncomfortable with yourâs and Arlieâs shopping days.
âBaby, you can go as crazy as youâd like, Arlie too, you both are my world, Wesley too so if you want to go shopping and lose your mind in the mall go for it honeyâ
Smiling you leaned up to place a kiss on his lips
âI love you so muchâŠso much that I may have gotten you a few little things..â
âI donât doubt you did baby, I love you moreâ
You took a few more minutes of quiet with Chris before Arlie was yelling to show her dad everything sheâd gotten, and Wesley had now woken up and was babbling through the baby monitor. You wouldnât trade this life for anything, and the more time you spent with your babies and Chris, the more you thought about maybe adding one more addition to the family
but that would be a discussion for another dayâŠ

Happy International Womenâs Day Blurb (Little Duck auđŁ)
pairing: Chris Evans x Female Reader (Momma Evans)
summary: after a rough couple of days, youâre still not out of the woods, but that doesnât stop Chris from spoiling you and little Arlie for International Womenâs Day
warnings: none, mentions of pain, but just fluffy goodness
a/n: here is Womenâs Day blurb 2/2! These were kinda fun to write, and I do have three full length fic ideas that will be coming out either today or within the week so keep an eye out for those! sending lots of love đ«¶đ»
Giggles, baby noises and laughter had lulled you out of your sleep around 8:30 in the morning. You made note of the pestering pain that could still be felt throughout your body, thankfully it didnât seem to be as bad as it was last night, but you were still slow to get up
Gently putting your feet on the hardwood, you slid your slippers on and grabbed the corner of your bed frame to life yourself up and out from the comforts of your blankets, a pained groan escaping you
Chris had told you to yell or text him to help when you needed it, but being the stubborn woman you were, you wanted to do everything yourself, though when you reached the top of the stairs, you felt too weak to attempt it yourself
âHoney?â
Almost instantly Chris appeared at the bottom of the stairs, Arlie following
âMomma! Come on Momma! Daddy has pwesents!!!â
Chris laughed shaking his head
âItâs supposed to be a surprise duck..â
âOhâŠsâupise, itâs a sâupise Momma!â
You laughed, Arlie was horrible at keeping secrets and surprises, but it was the cutest thing ever, when something didnât really need to be kept hidden of course
âWell iâd love to come see the surprise baby, iâll meet you in the living room okay?â
Arlie nodded before running off another laugh escaping you, though you were trying not to laugh too much due to chest pain, it would never be possible in your household
Chris was already making his way up the stairs to you, a smile on his face despite the worry in his eyes
âYou should have called, I would have helped you out of bed baby..â
âYou already have to help with so muchâŠI just needed to do it this morningâ
He nodded, not offering a rebuttal because heâd be the same if the roles were reversed, and man did he wish they were
âHow are you feeling? Any pain still?â
âSomewhat okay I suppose, still cramping in my stomach area, my chest is really bothering me amongst other thingsâŠslow and steady I guessâ
Chris hummed in response before helping you get to the bottom of the stairs, offering to help you over to the couch but not before stopping to see Lisa and Wesley who were having a little sink bath
âHi my handsome boy, oh look at you! You having a bath with Nana? hmm?â
Wesley offered a gummy smile your way, his hands splashing, more than happy to see his mom as you leaned down to press a few kisses to his little cheeks
âHow are you this morning sweetheart?â
You sighed shrugging in Lisaâs direction
âStill not great but not horrible, I canât thank you enough for all your helpâ
âNonsense, I love being here and seeing my grand babies as much as I can, besides someoneâs gotta make sure Chris holds it togetherâ
You nodded laughing once again, wincing slightly at the tightness in your sternum, Arlieâs yelling didnât allow you to think about it too much, as you were off to the living room, taking a spot next to her
âLook Momma, Daddy got us flowers!!!â
You widened your eyes at her excitement, another smile tugging at your lips, Chris coming over and sitting next to you
âHappy International Womenâs Day to two of my favourite womenâ
Leaning over you pressed a kiss to his lips thanking him, Arlie squealing in excitement at her flowers and of course a few other little gifts Chris had got her
âI also have one more thing for you..â
He pulled a small box out from his sweater pocket and handed it to you, eager to see you open a gift he new not only would make you happy, but had more meaning now than it did before
Sliding off the top were two Volvo keys nestled gently amongst some little pieces of cut up tissue paper
âChrisâŠ.â
âI know, I know itâs extravagant and a big gift, but I know how much you loved that car, how it kept you and Arlie safeâŠand Volvo reached out to me wanting to helpâŠso I wanted to replace your SUV that was written off after the accident, now I know our family will always be safe with you driving one of these againâ
Chris was right, youâd never had a better car than your XC90, safety wise it was the best car for your family, but knowing Chris had gone out to replace your car and the company itself wanted to help, was enough to bring tears to your eyes
âThank you so much honey, you have no idea what this means to meâŠI-I donât even have the words right now, Arlie, Wes and I are so lucky to have youâŠâ
Arlie noticing your tears came over to give you a hug, making sure to be extra gentle, and you held her to you
âLove you Daddy, love you Mommaâ
Hugs shared all around you didnât know where to start in thanking Chris for this gift, but he would go to the ends of the earth to make sure you and his family were safe and taken care of, no matter what was thrown your wayđ€

Not A Typical WeekendâŠ.(Little Duck au)
pairing: Chris Evans x Female Reader (Momma Evans)
summary: itâs back to the hospital you go, only this time, it may not be the news youâre both looking forâŠ
warnings: angst, mentions of anxiety, some tears, very panicky Arlie, comfort of course <;3
a/n: i was feeling angsty so hereâs thisâŠi promise i wonât torture this family anymore, I guess this may be a two parter?? considering I kinda left the ending open...? also I hate my writing again so maybe thats why I kinda cut it that way LOL
word count: 952
You were hoping the pain after your accident would become more bearable after 5 days at home, but when you were still dealing with cramping, and now stabbing pains in your chest, Chris wouldnât take no for an answer when it came time to go back to the hospital. Poor Arlie had been beside herself all morning as she watched you wince and moan as the waves of pain passed through you. Lisa was just as worried, but tried to keep Arlie calm and away from a potential panic attack
âMomma no go pwease no go!â
You frowned, opening your arms for her so you could hold her for a few moments
âMy love, Iâll be okay, I promise youâŠmommaâs gotta get fixed up so I can be all better againâ
âDonât wanna lose mommaâŠâ
Your heart was breaking at the tears that lined her eyes, slowly slipping out every few secondsÂ
âArlie Mae, youâre not going to lose me, Iâll be home before you know it, I need you to help Nana with your brother, heâs going to need his big sister while Daddy and I are goneâÂ
She sniffled
âOkay mommaâŠI-I try to help Nanaâ
âThank you baby, I know youâre scared, but Iâll be home before you know it, so I need you to eb a big brave girl for meâÂ
You kissed her cheek upon hearing Chris call your name from the door, standing slowly to kiss Wesley and hug Lisa, you gave everyone one last goodbye before grabbing an overnight bag, and some snacks. It was hard to tell how long youâd be at the hospital until you arrived and got checked out, so overpacking may come in handy, even if you usually avoided it.Â
âReady to go honey?â
âAs ready as Iâll ever be I supposeâŠI just hope itâs nothing seriousâ
Chris placed a kiss on your temple after helping you get settled into the front seat of the carÂ
âI hope so too, weâll just have to wait and see nowâŠâ
You nodded folding your hands into your lap, youâd be lying to yourself if you said you werenât freaking out a little bit. The prospect of it being horrible news compared to slightly okay news, now seeming to become more real, the closer to the hospital you got. Knowing Chris would be panicking just as much as you figured Arlie still may be at home, you remained quiet, and optimistic that you would be in and out of there in no time.Â
-
âMrs. Evans, I am glad you decided to come back in to see us, albeit not the best circumstances, better to be safe than sorry right?â
You were laying in a hospital bed, a private room once again at Mass Gen, youâd had numerous counts of blood taken, a few scans, x-rays, an entire workup because Chris nor you wanted to leave without being absolutely sure you were one hundred percent okay to go back homeÂ
âSo, we have taken a look at all the tests and scans we completed, the pain your experiencing is two things, one of them which is a chip in your collarbone, that has come loose and will require surgery in order to have that bone stabilized againâ
Your hand reached for Chrisâs looking for some comfort, he was quick to take it, holding it tightly in his, eyes trained on the doctor who had what appeared to be more bad newsÂ
âYou also have a collapsed lung, which worries me most because of the duration it seems to have been collapsed for, that is going to require immediate surgery, so we are going to take you down within the hourâŠany questions I can answer?â
When Chris started speaking with him you zoned out, your mind racing through every endless possibility that could potentially happen while you are on the operating table. It felt like your brain was spinning out of control, your eyes now glossed over, you were freaking out, but Chris could see it, so he promptly held your face in his handsÂ
âHey, heyâŠbaby breathe, you gotta breathe for me beautifulâŠâ
âI-I donât want to d-die, what if-what ifâ
Chris shook his headÂ
âNo, we arenât going to do that. Youâre not going anywhere y/n, we have the best doctors looking after you, theyâre going to help you so we can go home to the kids, so we can live the rest of our lives together, you are going to be okayâ
He rested his forehead against yours as you closed your eyes, attempting to get your breathing back under control, and after a few minutes you managed to slow your heart rate again, Chris placed a few kisses to your cheeks before settling on your lips just as the pre op team came in
âIâll be here the whole time, I promise, I love you so muchâ
âI love you too Chris, donât ever forget thatâ
Chris wanted to say more, he felt like he needed you, but once that team of nurses had rushed into the room to prep you for two back-to-back surgeries, he knew he needed to step back and let them get to work. You were in the best care, and the best hands possible here but that wasnât enough to keep the anxious thoughts and worries away. Even as he sat down in the uncomfortable chair by the window to call home, that sinking feeling never left him, seeing Arlie and Wesley helped to distract his mind. He truthfully didnât know how long youâd been in the OR, but he hoped to god it wouldnât be long so he could have you back in his arms, because life without his better half wasnât something he was willing to settle for nor think about.Â

Bahama Momma Headcannon đđŽ (Little Duck AUđŁ)
pairing: Chris Evans x Wife Reader (Momma Evans)
summary: after a few rough weeks, Chris figured it was time to get his family out of Boston and into the sunshine and warm air
warnings: slight angst, body insecurity, mentions of post partum depression, sweet Chris and very fluffy family content
a/n: hereâs a little little duck headcannon i wanted to get out, i hope you guys enjoy it! iâve been feeling crap about my writing but i know how much you all love this auđ«¶đ»
Honestly if you knew the warm air would help alleviate the heavy feeling youâd been struggling with for the past few weeks, you would have asked for a vacation sooner
The warm sand underneath your feet, the sun shining down, you had little baby Wesley in your arms, he seemed happy to be in the Bahamas too, even if he was too little to say so
âMomma look at my floaties!!!â
Arlie came running towards you, a strawberry bathing suit on with some pink arm floaties, so she and Chris could go into the ocean, something sheâd been so excited for since youâd arrived 45 minutes earlier
âWow baby, you look so perfect! You excited to go swim?â
âMhm! Daddy and me are gonna get shells too!!â
You smiled pressing a kiss to her forehead, her little dimples showing which made you smile more, she was almost the spitting imagine of her daddy
You opted to stay on the lounge chairs under the shade of a few umbrellaâs you didnât want to bring Wes into the ocean yet, and truth be told you didnât want to be out in a bathing suit either.
Youâd kept your coverup on, not feeling happy in your body at all, fat in places you forgot could get extra skin, stretch marks, you just felt gross
âDuck, can you wait in the sand for a minute?â
Chris looked to Arlie who nodded, immediately going for a bucket and a few sand toys that sat near you, he then came over and sat in front of you
âHowâre you feeling?â
You shrugged
âIâm okay, happy to be hereâŠthink I needed the sunâ
He chuckled
âYeah, Iâm glad we did this too, you sure youâre being honest with meâ
Looking at him he could tell you werenât letting him fully in, which you knew would hurt him a bit, but you sighed looking away
âYou know you can talk to me about anything honey, I promise youâŠâ
âI know, I justâŠâ
Wesley yawned on the little pillow he was situated on, but thankfully stayed asleep, Chris smiling down at him
âI just donât want you to look at meâ
âWhat? What do you mean..?â
Checking on Arlie quickly you tried not to get too emotional
âItâs just that, iâve gained so much weight, and my stretch marks are worse that they were with ArlieâŠI forgot I got so ugly after having kidsâŠitâs embarrassingâ
In an instant his hands framed your face, mindful of the little man laying in between you both
âI know iâll never experience the pain and feelings you go through when it comes to being pregnant, and being a new mom again, but one thing I do know, is you are the most beautiful woman in the world to me, and you always will beâ
You couldnât help the tears that started to line your eyes
âAnd before you try to give me any objections, I love you and I love your body with stretch marks, without them, your body is evidence of the two beautiful little babies you brought into our family, I know your brain is your biggest enemy right now, and Iâm going to continue to help in anyway I can, but you are everything to me Y/NâŠeverything.â
âI love you..â
Chris knew you wouldnât know what to say or how to put words together the best right now, but those three words meant the world to him and you knew it
He pressed a few kisses on your face finally meeting your lips for a sweet and love filled kiss
âNow, Iâm going to take our crazy girl into the ocean, if you need anything, just hollerâ
You smiled nodding your head, one more kiss being pressed to your lips before he got up
âLast one to the water is a rotten egg!â
Arlie jumped up and let out an excited squeal
âYou gonna lose daddy!!â
Laughing as the two of them took off towards the ocean, you couldnât help the sudden lightness that filled you, you knew it would still be a long road to healing and working through the thoughts you were having, but being here in the Bahamaâs with the sun shining down on you, it started to become just a bit easier đ

Momma's Day Off (Little Duck AUđ„)
Pairing: Chris Evans x Wife Reader (Momma Evans)
Summary: after working hard on cooking and cleaning for the superbowl party, on top of taking care of the kiddoâs, Chris decided Momma deserved a much-needed day offÂ
Warnings: non, just fluffy goodness
a/n: sorry this took so long to get up, Iâve been running around all day getting assignments done before my week off next week because I will be travelling, so I am not entirely sure how much writing Iâll get done! Iâve been feeling crappy about my writing and itâs been pushing me off because I feel like I canât write at all so I donât know, this is also somewhat short
word count: 547
You crawled into bed last night around midnight after cleaning up the leftover food and doing some organizing downstairs while Chris and his friends still hung around, you were more than happy to get under the covers. Wesley had gone down easily, and you had been up throughout the night to feed him, which was normal for you, Chris had gotten into bed next to you sometime after one thirty in the morning though you donât remember much being half asleep. What you were not prepared for was no alarm going off and no crying baby beside you when you woke up at ten thirty this morning, you couldnât help the slight panic that spread in your chest. Tossing on a pair of sweatpants and a shirt of Chrisâs that was at the edge of the bed, you knew logically there was nothing to be worried about, but it had been so long since the last time you slept in, it freaked you out
âWell good morning beautifulâÂ
Your eyes looked around the room, Arlie colouring in her art room and Wesley was sleeping on his cloud pillow on the couch where Chris could see him
âYou alright honey?â
Nodding you turned to him
âYeah, sorryâŠgood morning, I slept in...â
âYou did, I wanted you to sleep in, you spent all day cooking and watching the kids, you needed some extra sleepâ
Smiling you wrapped your arms around his torso pulling him in for a hugÂ
âThank you babyâ
âAlso, you might want to go pack a small bag because in about ten minutes your mom will be here to pick you up to take you out for a spa dayâ
You pulled back your eyes wide as he chuckled smiling down at youÂ
âWhat? But the kids-â
âWill be hanging out with me all day, itâs mommaâs day off today, go enjoy yourself, buy some nice things and relax, Iâve got it handled here, besides Arlie, Wes and I have some important business we have to doâ
âYeah Momma! No Momma business!!â
You laughed looking at Arlie who was smiling, a paintbrush in one hand, the other cocked on her hipÂ
âWell okay then, I guess I will leave you all to it!â
Turning back to face Chris once more you pressed a kiss to his lipsÂ
âThank you for this my loveâ
âOf course, you go enjoy the day todayâ
He couldnât help the smile on his face as you went off to kiss Wesleyâs forehead a few times, moving to see Arlie next, pulling her in for a hug and pressing a couple kisses to her cheeks. This would be the first time you would be without Wesley and although you were nervous, the idea of spending the day at the spa and shopping with your mom was enough to get you excited and looking forward to having a day for yourself. Arlie was also excited practically shoving you out the door whispering about some secret project she needed to start with Wes and Chris, you couldnât wait to see what the three of them came up with when you got home later in the day. For now, you were more than excited to get a massage and let loose for a few hours.Â

FaceTime Greetings (Little Duck AUđŁ)
Pairing: Momma Evans (Female Reader) x Dad! Chris Evans (ft. Arlie)
Summary: Staying in the hospital one more night wouldnât be a bad thing if youâre little girl would have been allowed to visit, but with her still being sick, and Wesley being only 11 hours old, you couldnât risk him getting sick too, but that doesnât mean you donât feel horrible
Warnings: a lil bit of angst and sadness, but nothing majorÂ
a/n: just a little fic with the Evans family new addition Wesley! Thank you again for the continued support and love, I appreciate you guys more than you know, this one is a little short but I hope youâll still enjoy
Word Count: 558
Wesley lay asleep on your chest, you had finally had a shower and got into a change of clothes which felt more than amazing, and ten times better that the uncomfortable hospital gown. You couldnât stop staring at him, you could already see the resemblance between him, and Chris and it warmed your heart, speaking of Chris he had been the most amazing husband once again throughout the birth and process of bringing Wes into the world. You werenât thrilled about staying in the hospital overnight because you missed your Arlie girl, but you knew with her still fighting off this infection, waiting until tomorrow when she wouldnât be contagious anymore. Chris had just gotten back from picking up some takeout when his phone went off, a smile spreading across your face knowing it was your facetime date with Arlie who was more than eager to meet her baby brotherÂ
âHi my angelâ
Chris smiled, the screen facing himÂ
âHi daddy!! Miss you daddyâŠyou coming home soon?â
âI miss you more duck, weâll be home tomorrow morning!âÂ
She sighed and you couldnât help but frown, you knew she was really missing you guys and wanted to meet Wes so bad. Chris brought the phone over to you and sat next to you on the bed, the minute Arlie saw your face she gasped excitedlyÂ
âMomma!!!â
âHi my sweet baby!â
You smiled watching her get comfy on the couch, the telltale theme song of the show Bluey filling in the background
âMomma misses you so much Arlie, but weâll be home so soonâ
She hummed
âMiss you too momma, I see baby now?â
You chuckled before nodding and Chris turned the camera around so Arlie could get a full view of baby Wesley, a loud gasp followed by a soft âwowâ leaving your daughters lips
âHe so small daddy!â
âHe is baby, this is your brother Wesleyâ
She hummed her little face pressed right against the phone almost as if she wanted to get as close as she couldÂ
âHi Wesley, I Arlie your sister!â
You looked to Chris when she said this, tears lining your eyes at just how sweet Arlie was despite not being able to be there with the two of you. Chris smiled, catching a tear that had fallen before placing a gentle kiss on your lipsÂ
âOh, momma he yawned!â
Snapping out of the little moment you had with your husband you chuckled, the phone being turned back to youÂ
âYeah honey, he yawns a lot, when you were a baby, you used to yawn all the time, and sleep like crazy! Thatâs what your brother is going to do too, just like you!âÂ
âJust like me MommaâŠâ
Wesley was your new baby, another added joy to your lives, but Arlie was your first and always would be your baby girl, you and Chris had lots of discussions on how you were going to navigate a new baby and Arlie, ensuring both were getting equal amounts of attention. You knew deep down you didnât have to worry about it, because Arlie was going to be so involved in Wesâs life and would be the absolute best big sister around, and you and Chris would do everything in your power to love and support both of your babies to the absolute best of your abilities.Â
