just finished repo the genetic opera. I feel lied to
#like. you guys were watching a different musical#I have a Lot of things to say about it but I will keep it brief#it feels like a rough draft#like you're telling me this ran for like 5 years before becoming a movie#and it's still like this?#like I guess it's fine if you can turn your brain off for it#but even then it's enough to pull you out of it at times#like there'll be Key Crunch or just the most literal on the nose blunt lyrics you've ever heard#or like a weird whiplash transition in the music#like the premise is fun I love anticapitalist takes on cyberpunk especially now#but like. it's Definitely from 2008. and I think some of you guys might be a little generous#once again for the sake of Keeping It Brief I'm done#for now. for now#if you want the whole laundry list you know where to find me#(but really it's mostly just more elaboration on those key points)#ok unrelated but like. the face mask guy.#in the final climax scene why did he go from cabaret to the mask LMAO#ok done now. goodnight#emiltalk
