I love that it's Charlie Cales good actions, intelligence and mostly her friendly nature that help her escape cliff.

Her helping solve the murder at the gas station , being sympathetic to Sara about losing a good friend and Sara in turn seeing that whoever is tailing Charlie is bad news lies and says she's headed to La.

The mechanic fixes her sabotaged breaks for her for free without question because we'll she seems nice enough and she paid for all the other repairs straight away.

In the rock episode She's nice and polite to Deuteronomy when asking for his glasses aswell as about the amp and in turn when he sees her being chased down by a guy he doesn't know he stops him giving her time to get away into the crowd.

(And mind you at this point in the episode she doesn't have her all access badge anymore so he could have fully stopped her from going into the concert building if he was working security which he seemed to be and thought she was trying to break in)

There's more to add to this but I just I love that her actions have good consequences .

That her sticking up for and helping people, regular people is what gives her the upper hand over cliff and The Frosts. It's the everyday people the common folk who give her the upper hand over the elites.
