Lewis after FP1 and FP2 in Las Vegas | 17.11.23
It's incredibly fast, and it’s a lot of fun. I had so much fun today. I’m so glad that we did get to run again. Obviously not great Fp1, with what happened, but they did a great job to fix it.” How's the balance? It's okay. It’s not too bad. When we’re all out on similar tyres I don’t think we’re too far off. Everyone’s having graining and people were running out of tyres. But everyone was, I think on a similar boat.” Because of temprature or tracksurface? Combination or both. And also, we’re really low downforce so you’re sliding through a lot of the low speed and high speed corners. We don’t have a huge amount of load because you need the straight line speed, and then the temperatures, I’m sure, are having a big effect on it.” How challenging is it? Massively challenging.. Even though they got the long straight there’s not really a lot of places to overtake cause the grip is so low. The tow is not huge, a bit like Monza when you're behind people, because you got the small wing, there’s not a lot of drag. It’s going to be interesting. Qualifying position will be really important and then obviously degradation will be key.”
I had a blast! Everyone was struggling with jet lag and stuff and I feel really great. I just watched a movie in between the break and, yea, I feel great. I’m ready to go again.”

Lewis Hamilton after FP1 and 2 in Singapore | 15.09.23 It's actually been a really good day. The weather is... Pfff, freaking hot out here... But it's been beautiful. Yeah, it was a really smooth sailing day. I think we've started on the right foot. I think the car; we progressed from FP1 to FP2. Which is not too often the case. So I feel we've got a good platform to work off. We are a little bit off compared to the Ferrari's, but we'll work overnight to see if we can close the gap. Racepace? I think we are very close to the top 3 or 4 teams. We're all very close within a tenth or so of each other. I think the changes to the track have been great. I think they really kind of opened up the circuit to be even greater than it was before. The changes they've done with the surface, the new tarmac that they've put down made it so much more enjoyable to drive. Yeah definitely excited for tomorrow. We just gotta make sure we're sensible with the changes we make. More overtaking?I don't think at the moment there will be more overtaking... Maybe slight better overtaking at T7. Just because the track is better through that first couple of corners, but I think we need DRS in that last section. Which all the drivers - we all - requested it from the FIA and the FIA asked all the teams. And a couple teams turned it down. In the drivers debrief we will try and bring it up. The teams should be for more racing; not against it and it's interesting to have a few teams that are against it. We will discuss it and try... Overall it will be an interesting race. It will be down to deg though mostly

Lewis after FP1 & 2 in Hungary | 21.07.23
“It wasn’t feeling good at all. It was feeling like the car is worse today, but, we’ll work on set up tonight.”
He also criticized the new weekend format:
“There’s a lot of wet tyres that, I think, they throw away every weekend, like, a lot. I think they should look at something like that [for sustainability] rather than taking track time away from the fans.”

Lewis Hamilton after FP1 & FP2 in Silverstone | 07.07.23 Yeah very windy. It's often windy here in Silverstone. The wind is what helps it become the best track in the world. The characteristics you have: tail wind, cross wind. It's pretty phenomenal. I don't mind it. It definitely made it a little bit inconsistent, but I think it everyone was the same. Car wise we are battling the same thing majority of the time. It's a tough car to drive, and no matter what we do to set up, it continues to be a tough car to drive. On a single lap, we didn't feel any improvement between tyres, which shows that something is wrong. We're missing something. The long run didn't seem to be too bad. That is the positive at least. Soft tyres felt better? It didn't feel particularly great [long run on softs], but it must have felt worse for other people if they weren't as quick. The last part of my run felt of my run was starting to be a bit more consistent. For whatever reason. It could be due to wind, the balance or getting used to the balance. This track is really about trying to weighing the scales all the way around and making compromisses here and there. There is a fine edge on the balance and such a big balance window. It’s back and forth. It's never just like: here and you can just drive it. Ideas how to get the car in the right window? No. Me and George were talking and he’s like over here with the set up, I’m over here. He was like ‘I’m thinking of coming to where you are but then your lap time is slow.’ And I was like ‘well, I was thinking of coming where you are but as I said, balance…' We’ll try and work on (the set up) tonight, and Mick will do some work in the sim tonight so hopefully we’ll come up with something tomorrow.”
