"Honestly," Ramuda clicks his tongue, even as he scoots and gets Gentaro to lay his head down on Ramuda's lap instead of his shoulder (it'd be a shame if Gentaro got a stiff neck when he woke up!) "I totally get deadlines, but you gotta remember to take care of yourself too!"

His scolding is at a mismatch with the careful way he handles Gentaro, as he gently brushes Gentaro's hair out of his face. Running his fingers through his boyfriend's hair, his gaze softens.

"Mmh?" He looks up, eyes wide and curious as Gentaro squishes his cheeks. For what purpose, he doesn't know. Just for the sake of it? To feel the softness?

"Do you like how squishy my cheeks are?" The mischievous glint in his eyes is all the warning Gentaro gets before Ramuda smiles and speaks again, voice quiet to a purr. "I bet my thighs are so much nicer to feel than my cheeks, if you're interested~"

"I've been told they're great as a lap pillow~!!" And just like that, his cheerfulness is back.

Ramuda's eyes flutter close in bliss as he melts into the embrace, head tilting up to meet Gentaro's. What a blessing it is, to be able to feel this safe with someone else. No matter how much this happens, the thought crosses his mind again and again.

He pulls away, a soft smile playing at his features. Without breaking gaze, he reaches to pinch Gentaro's sleeve and rub the fabric between his fingers.

"You know..." He starts, slow and unsure as he lets go of the sleeve. "I bet--I know I can make cute clothes in this style. It'd be fun if I wore something that matches your outfit on a date, right?"

Fashion is freedom and expression. What better way to show his love than to use that?

He relishes in the affection, almost immediately relaxing into Gentaro’s touch. The kiss, too, is very much welcome, and he doesn’t realize how much he’s missed it until Gentaro’s initiating it. His eyes close as he returns the kiss, and he rests his hands over Gentaro’s.

It’s a moment too short as he pulls away from the kiss, just enough to speak to his boyfriend. A smile plays across his lips, and he looks at Gentaro with uncharacteristic softness.

“Aww, silly Gentaro~! You surprised me! Didja wanna kiss me that bad?”

AFFECTIONATE AND AFFIRMING PROMPTS

It hasn’t been a good night by any means. A half-night of nightmares, followed by uneasy sleep until morning. The following routine will be as such: wake up feeling unrested, get coffee and candy, and work until he feels useful (and by extension, like he won’t die).

Well, that would be the plan, if it isn’t for the fact that it was disrupted on the very first step.

Gentle pressure upon his lips is what pulls him out of his fitful slumber, and the strangeness of it all dampens his immediate need to work. His eyes barely open--just enough for him to see Gentaro above him. As if by magic, his learned needs fall quiet, overtaken by the gentle affection budding from the tip of his tongue.

He greets Gentaro with a soft, sleepy smile, hands reaching up to cup his boyfriend’s cheeks. There’s no effort to move beyond this, within the blissful bubble of just the two of them.

“Morning, Gentaro...~” His affections are singsonged into existence, and he tugs his boyfriend down for a kiss. “You gotta let me greet you back, silly~”

gentaro wraps his arms around ramuda, gently nuzzling his hair before pressing a soft kiss on his head. he really needs that right now; he's tired and yearns for some touches.

“Gen~taro~” Ramuda singsongs softly, in consideration of the way Gentaro’s eyelids seem to droop in his tiredness. A time to be loud and obnoxious can come later, when Gentaro’s more awake. He reaches his hands up, cupping Gentaro’s cheeks and going onto tiptoes to peck his lips. His arms wrap around Gentaro as a hug soon after, and he gives an exaggerated yawn before resting his head against Gentaro’s chest.

“I’m tiiiired, work suuuucks.” With a pout, he looks up at Gentaro with puppy-dog eyes. “Can we cuddle under a nice and warm blanket, pleaaaase~?”
