watching good omens and the fact they simply superimposed a distant vague london skyline over one of the most recognisable streets in edinburgh is really making me laugh

#good omens #good omens season 2 #this isn’t a dig i know how filming locations work and also #listen ppl probably won’t notice because edinburgh actually does look a lot like london especially the new town/stockbridge area #which is where this street (circus lane) is #but i have lived in that specific part of the city and everyone is always taking pics on that street so it made me laugh #so photoshopping the gherkin in the background is taking me out #esp bc some of the season is ACTUALLY set in edi #lucys ramblings #BUT if u saw this part of ep 1 and were like omg that street is so cute where in london is it #let me be the person to tell you it is circus lane. in edinburgh. in scotland.#it is very much worth visiting though it’s in a lovely (if expensive) part of the city with lots of little restaurants and antique shops #and public gardens
