She’s... intrigued.
For now, let’s call this part 1 of the epilogue. There’s more planned, but this ask fit nicely before the other stuff chronologically. Stay tuned!
(Thanks for the ask @non-magicalanon !)

Is it just me, or does Leslie give off Ms. Frizzle vibes?
Well… Ms. Frizzle if she suffered a horrible trauma and chose to cope in an unhealthy way.

Why is nobody talking about the last door that had opened in Leslie’s room. There’s more to the lore than just Leslie being the puppet master, I’m dying to know more

Leslie and Puppetry
So this is just a thought I had, but going off the theory that Leslie’s son was killed in a car accident, I think we may be able to infer something about when she started,,,,,,,, everything. In the Death episode, I think Red and Yellow being given the “Build A New Friend” kit is representative of someone in Leslie’s life recommending puppetry after David’s passing, either as a means to cope or as a way to help distract her from her grieving. Even the way Red and Yellow react to and interact with Stain Edwards could be derived from her own experiences. Maybe there was a different puppet, before Yellow Guy, who was her favourite, and maybe she attached herself to the puppet too quickly and started treating him as a surrogate, but still in the back of her mind could recognize it as wrong, these feelings being represented through Red who turned Stain into Duck, and Yellow who rejected Stain and brought Duck back. This could also be why she’s so over the top when saying “You’re not my real son” to Yellow in the final episode.

ok time for my shitty dhmis take ! this has probably already been done before , but here we go . leslie is a grieving woman who lost her son , david , so she makes a puppet purgatory where she’s the god and keeps a copy of him (yellow guy) and 2 others who died on the same day (duck and red) trapped in a childish but horrifying reality where every day is a new lesson of life because she felt her son never got to learn about how life works. roy is meant to represent her husband/is her husband, whom she resents and doesn’t trust. that’s it ok bye
