The Jaguars are exploring commerce eventualities involving working again Leonard Fournette, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Saturday.
Fournette is coming off a profession season with 1,674 yards from scrimmage (although simply three touchdowns). He is getting into his fourth NFL season after turning 25 in January.

A Dumb Draft Exercise
It's a Friday night and we're all locked in so I decided to do something a touch different. I took the current NFL draft order and then looked up the last five NFL drafts (2015-2019) to see who was picked at spots. Using the teams as they stand after one long (and it feels it) week of free agency, I picked ONE player selected at that set position to try and do a retro draft. Each team picked ONE player picked over the last five years at that specific spot (so at 1 overall, you could only draft 1st overall). How different would your favorite team look? Welll.....
1. Cincinnati- QB Kyler Murray (2019)
The first round picks of the past five years consist of four QBs (Jameis Winston, Jared Goff, Baker Mayfield and Murray) alongside premiere edge rusher Myles Garrett. As is often the case with top pick QBs tasked with saving bad franchises, each becomes less and less attractive as the years go by and they hit the ceiling of "damn good but not quite franchise saver" over and over. I went with Murray because while I think Goff is vastly underrated by most fans, Murray's got the ability and personality to drastically change an organization that feels like it's been hankering for a chance over the past five years. Murray was one of the NFL's brightest stars last year and figures to only improve, especially if you put him under the watchful gaze of an offensive guru (of sorts) in Zac Taylor.
2. Washington- DE Nick Bosa (2019)
Was REALLY torn with Carson Wentz and Nick Bosa for the Redskins. There's a lot of dead-ish weight here with Mitch Trubisky and Marcus Mariota and while Saquon may be the best player in theory, no team needs to take a running back in the top 5 (or in the first round at all). Assuming the Redskins are truly comfortable with Dwayne Haskins then taking Nick Bosa and pairing him up in the front four along with the likes of Montez Sweat, Matt Ionidis and Daron Payne would probably be a formidable ass crew.  Basically the Chase Young strategy.
3. Detroit- DE Joey Bosa (2016)
How about the Bosa Bros going back to back! One would assume tht if the Lions wanted a QB, they're GOING to have their pick of the proverbial litter on the back end. After all after Cincy, they'll have Tua, Herbert and Love at their disposal if taking a QB so amuses them. Instead operating under the belief that the Lions feel comfortable with Stafford for MAYBE one more year, it leaves us to choose from Joey Bosa, Solomon Thomas and Dante Fowler. Bosa is likely on his way to a multiple pro bowl career while Thomas may just grade out as average and Fowler is on his third team now. Easy choice if ya ask me.
4. NY Giants- WR Amari Cooper (2015)
The Giants would be picking from a variety of offensive players; two of which are current Dallas Cowboys. You have Amari Cooper, Zeke Elliott, Leonard Fournette on offense and then Denzel Ward at cornerback as pretty much your only other option. Give me Amari Cooper as he'd immediately step in and make an offense consisting of Daniel Jones, Barkley, Golden Tate and a two tight end threat of Evan Engram and Kaden Smith a pretty damn formidable one.
5. Miami- OLB Bradley Chubb (2018)
This WOULD be easy in theory. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey would've been a FINE choice here but the Dolphins have Xavien Howard and Byron Jones on the back end. With Jalen Ramsey out of the picture, you have an interesting linebacker in Devin White, a superb guard in Brandon Scherff and my selection Bradley Chubb. With so much locked in on the defense, Chubb (if healthy) steps in as an immediate premiere pass rusher. Barely edges out Brandon Scherff. BARELY.
6. LA Chargers- OG Quinton Nelson (2018)
Man! The Chargers would have their glut of talent to choose from if they so desired. Want an elite strong safety? Jamal Adams was picked 6th in 2018. Want a QB to groom and develop? Daniel Jones went here in 2019. If you want a flexible havoc inducing DL piece? Leonard Williams in 2015 went 6th overall. Ronnie Stanley is a pretty damn good tackle as well.  Quinton Nelson is a top 3 guard in just two seasons and figures to continue to improve. It's not a premiere position for a lot of people but Nelson bucks the trend.
7. Carolina- QB Josh Allen (2018)
Funny bit? We have two Josh Allens here as Josh Allen from Wyoming and Josh Allen from Kentucky both went 7th overall. Both would be tremendous picks given the Panthers needs (an elite edge or a QB). Deforest Buckner finally hit on his potential and got paid paid for it as well, fitting in interestingly here as a potential flexible front line piece. The Panthers just paid Teddy Bridgewater relatively big time money but if you have the chance to take a really athletic strong armed QB who has shown strides in two seasons, you should do it. Imagine Allen throwing it to the likes of DJ Moore and Christian McCaffery.
8. Arizona- RB Christian McCaffery (2017)
THIS one was hard given the lack of obvious options. Do you need more receiving options? If so TE TJ Hockenson was picked 8th. Christian McCaffery is probably the best player at this spot but again, running backs and top 10s and etc etc etc. Nuke Hopkins, Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk are on paper a superb trio of WRs and you also have Kenyan Drake at RB. Vic Beasley is a good pass rusher who has sort of lost his way as a player (hence the one year prove it deal). Give me McCaffery I guess. I think he'd do wonders in Kingbsury's offense and I suppose you can make he and Drake work together. That's why head coaches get paid.
9. Jacksonville- OT Mike McGlinchey (2018)
There's not a lot of obvious fits for a tanking team like the Jaguars. DT Ed Oliver would be intriguing but I have no idea how he fits in with the Jaguars defense. The likes of Leonard Floyd (recently released), Ereck Flowers (failed tackle turned kinda failed guard), John Ross (oft injured speedster) are other options. Lastly there's Mike McGlinchey who was starting at right tackle for the Super Bowl 49ers. The Jaguars have spent picks at both tackle spots but McGlinchey is better.
10. Cleveland- QB Patrick Mahomes (2017)
Fuck. Would the Browns even with Baker Mayfield flirt with taking Patrick Mahomes? Who cares. Mayfield can be traded. If you have the chance to grab the best QB in the NFL, you do it. Easy peasy.
11. NY Jets- CB Marshon Lattimore (2016)
This one came down to Lattimore or Minkah Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick can do so much across a secondary and his swiss army knife toolset was amplified in a Pittsburgh secondary that left to his devices where he could roam free and fuck shit up. On the other hand, Marshon Lattimore represents one of the NFL's rare commodities; a star shutdown cornerback. Plus with Marcus Maye and Jamal Adams tie up the safety spots pretty well.
12. Las Vegas- QB Deshaun Watson (2017)
The Raiders are openly flirtatious with moving on from Derek Carr. Deshaun Watson would step in and be a massive upgrade. There's also not much here either given how 90% of the players are DL and the Raiders have plenty of names and faces they like there. Maxx Crosby, Maliek Collins, John Hankins and Clelin Ferrell to name a few.
13. San Francisco f/IND- OG Laremy Tunsil (2016)
Take the 49ers OL with Joe Staley, Mike McGlinchey and Laken Tomlinson and then slide in Laremy Tunsil at RG. That's an absurd OL. There also weren't many options to really delve into either depending on how you feel about Da'Ron Payne and Vita Vea.
14. Tampa Bay- DE Marcus Davenport (2018)
Pick 14 over the past five years is a bit of a dry spell unfortunately. The best player on the list is DeVante Parker and the Bucs clearly have a collection of damn good WRs. Shaq Barrett and JPP are in place for 2020 but could the Bucs use Davenport as a third rusher and move him inside on pass rush downs. Not a lot of good ideas here unfortunately.
15. Denver- RB Melvin Gordon (2015)
Easy peasy! I mean Denver just signed him! That's a bit of a cheapie but let's keep with it. Gordon fitshere (and nobody else does).
16. Atlanta- LB Tremaine Edmunds (2018)
Edmunds with Deion Jones? Sign me up! The only other option that makes sense here is Marlon Humphrey at corner which would be an equally fine pick.
17. Dallas- S Derwin James (2018)
Given that Arik Armstead and John Allen would be 3-technique types in this defense, it makes sense we would ONCE again look at the safety market! Yay! The Cowboys scheme in 2018 apparently didn't like Derwin James as much as the media thought they did but this is a brand new scheme and a new way to play. Derwin James would edge out Keanu Neal (who BTW when healthy is an amazing safety) by virtue of being more of the chess piece the Cowboys need.
18. Miami f/PIT- C Ryan Kelly (2017)
Again there's a glut of corners here but the Dolphins have their fair share. As such, turn your attention over to a glut of centers---who they also just signed a guy for. Ryan Kelly is a pro bowl center though and you can make exceptions for that.
19. Las Vegas f/CHI- LB Leighton Vander-Esch (2018)
One of the better linebackers in the NFL prior to his neck injury, LVE was a friggin' elite athlete who could still redefine what NFL linebackers look like. His defensive coordinator is there as well (as the DL coach) and I bet Gruden would love his leadership and his ability as an off ball linebacker. This one is easy enough.
20. Jacksonville f/LAR- TE Noah Fant (2019)
The Jaguars are in the midst of a rebuild of sorts but unfortunately there's no immediate building block pieces at 20. It came down to Frank Ragnow (a versatile OL with upside) or Noah Fant and I opted for tight end Noah Fant since Minshew could use a reliable safety blanket. Assuming Fant can control his drops of course.
21. Philadelphia- WR Will Fuller (2016)
The Eagles could REALLY use some targets for Carson Wentz. Last year in clutch games they were relying on JJ Arceaga-Whiteside and Boston Scott for targets outside of their tight ends. Wouldn't have a problem going with FS Darnell Savage either who also went at 21.
22. Minnesota f/BUF- DE Bud Dupree (2015)
I don't know if the Vikings NEED an edge but even if they don't, there's really no options here. Josh Doctson was a flop in Washington, Charles Harris was a flop in Miami, Rashaan Evans plays the same spot as their glut of damn good linebackers and Andre Dillard is an unproven tackle for Philly to this point. Hit or miss here.
23. New England- Isaiah Wynn (2018)
I mean they drafted him here. Easy enough. Although would they take TE Evan Engram all things being equal?
24. New Orleans- WR DJ Moore (2018)
The Saints did grab Emmanuel Sanders but DJ Moore, Sanders and Michael Thomas is a whole different world of WR depth. There's also pretty much nobody else here worthy of snagging either.
25. Minnesota- WR Marquise Brown (2019)
HOLLYWOOD! The Vikings just traded away Stefon Diggs and could use an infusion of playmaker at their WR spot to help assist their TE room, Dalvin Cook and Adam Thielen. Marquise Brown would give Kirk Cousins a souped up version of Jamison Crowder; a WR-3 he relied heavily on in Washington.
26. Miami f/HOU- DE Montez Sweat (2019)
So the Dolphins have signed a lot of DE and we also gave them Bradley Chubb earlier BUT Montez Sweat is going to terrorize the NFL for the next 5-10 years and so he and Chubb combined? That's big time pass rush. Also, again, not much to really select from here either.
27. Seattle- CB Byron Jones (2015)
If you drew up a make and model for a Seahawks DB? It looks like Byron Jones. Byron just got paid big time money by Miami It's Byron vs Tre White and Byron fits the mold a bit better. Could also see Seattle liking Kenny Clark. Lots of good defensive players at 27.
28. Baltimore- OG Laken Tomlinson (2015)
Let Tomlinson battle it out with the interior OL the Ravens have currently. There's really not much here, it's either Tomlinson or DT Jerry Tillery.
29. Tennessee- TE David Njoku (2017)
Funny story, the 2016 1st round pick here was forfeited via deflategate. With just four names to choose from (and not really much to talk about either way), the Titans take David Njoku. Njoku has struggled with his role in Cleveland and the Titans do have some solid tight ends already in place but Njoku would be a pretty nice flier. Most of the guys here at 29 are just not good unless you're a Taven Bryan truther.
30. Green Bay- LB TJ Watt (2017)
And Cowboys fans across the globe shudder in horror. Yes, the Packers have two really good DEs in the Smith brothers. There's nobody else here who comes remotely close to the pure value TJ Watt has. Let him rush from the left side and rack up the sacks. You can figure it out somehow I figure. Let Preston Smith play 3-tech or something!
31. San Francisco- LB Reuben Foster (2017)
On one hand, the less said about Foster the better. On the other, there's really nobody else here who would come close. Unless you're a Germaine Ifedi fan?
32. Kansas City- DT Malcolm Brown (2015)
For any other team in any other league, this is Lamar Jackson. The Chiefs are really set at QB for the next 10-15 years so we'll have to take a pass. Instead Malcolm Brown is pretty much the only other really good value play. Big thumpy 1-tech/nose tackles are usually found later on in the draft but Brown is a good one and the Chiefs truthfully don't need much else either.

NFL News 1-2-19
Hey sports fans! Today I want to talk about trade rumors. The Bengals are exploring trade offers for John Ross, WR. This week at the combine the teams that show they want Antonio Brown the most are: The Redskins, Raiders, and Titans. The that will most likely make it happen are the Raiders because the Raiders have three first round picks. The Steelers at least want a first round selection and the Raiders have three. The Bengals John Ross has a good chance of going to the Green Bay Packers. The Bengals want a mid round pick for Ross. And the Packers need a speedy receiver like Ross. Also there are trade rumors about Jordan Howard the Bears running back. The team that I think would most want him is the Philadelphia Eagles. And I can already see a great trade in my mind and this is something that I want to go about next, the Eagles receive: Jordan Howard. Bears receive Nelson Agholor and mid round pick. And the reason that I threw in the mid round pick is that Ryan Pace, the Bears general manager has picked the following studs in the third round through the sixth round: Tarik Cohen, Eddie Jackson, Adrian Amos Jr. and many more. The Bears will need a new running back so now lets say the Bears get the Eagles 3rd round pick. They would have to find a running back so do you:
 A. Get Le'Veon Bell, Tevin Coleman, or T.J. Yeldon in free agency.
B. Draft a running back like Damion  Harris or Bryce Love.
C. Trade for a running back like Chris Carson or Leonard Fournette.
D. Leave the running back position to Tarik Cohen.
My answer is C and B because they can get that pick from the Eagles and along with other picks send it south to Jacksonville. And in the draft they need a kicker after getting rid of Cody Parkey. The Bears are going to also have to resign Amos Jr. and Bryce Callahan. The Bears are in a really good position right now to do well this year thank you for reading the first blog.

Week 10 Post 1
Week 10′s match-up of the week will focus on Team XCLUSIVE and Team Juan G’s game. Team Juan G is attempting to regain ground after a 2-5 start to the year, this is his second year in the league -- last year he was the third place finisher. Team XCLUSIVE is currently on a four game winning streak and he hopes to keep the fire going a 1-4 start is no way to begin your first year in the league, but a series of trades that landed him QB Tom Brady changed his fortune. Team Juan G is the projected winner, 124.2 to 119, his team is looking at some favorable match-ups this weekend. QB Jared Goff vs Seattle, dual threat RB Christian McCaffrey vs Pittsburgh, WR Davante Adams vs Miami, and WR Juju Smith-Schuster vs Carolina are all match-ups that could are projected to produce at least 15 points, all tough measure for Team XCLUSIVE to match.
Team XCLUSIVE made some interesting lineup moves this week. For starters, QB Ryan Fitzpatrick gets the start over QB Tom Brady, and the Cowboys’ newest addition, WR Amari Cooper, finds himself on the bench as well. Outside of Fitzpatrick and RB Alvin Kamara, Team XCLUSIVE’s roster has three players projected above 10 points, one of which is his D/ST.
Entering my third week with Patrick Mahomes, I have my third straight favorable match-up. Across the fantasy football app from me is AGGhanistan GOATS, whose 3-6 record is second to last in the C3rtifi3d Division and 15th in the current league wide standings. A loser of four out of his last five games, AGGhanistan GOATS has one player on his roster ranked in the top 8 of their positional rank (WR Emmanuel Sanders, 7th ranked WR). Due to weeks of inactivity and not checking his lineup, early projections have me winning by 80.6 points, 118.7 to 38.1.
I have reason to panic though. if he comes and sets his lineup before game time on Sunday his team’s projection will rise into the upper eighties/low nineties and that will be a hard surge to fight off. This week is my lowest projected total in five weeks and this is likely because I have to stream my two WR options. Deandre Hopkins (22.7 PPW) is on his bye week and AJ Green (19.9 PPW) is out for at least two weeks with a toe injury, so I made waiver claims for Arizona’s rookie Christian Kirk (11 PPW) and LAC’s deep threat Tyrell Williams (13.3 PPW). 42.6 points to 24.3 points is a huge drop in production from my top ranked wide receiver core, but with RB Joe Mixon back from his bye our team can lean on him and Kareem Hunt to produce big numbers.
Playoff races are picking up the intensity with four weeks left in the regular season. There are currently five teams with 5-4 records and all but two of those five are projected to win this week, furthering the confusion of predicting a final playoff bracket. Team Juan G, who is featured in the spotlight game, is a very dangerous 4-5 team to watch. The top four teams in the standings (Lol Lmao, Yes Papi, Uhhh DEXTER, and Team Holmes) are not in the clear either, although Lol Lmao has extra breathing room with only two losses.
Yes Papi and Team Holmes are both projected to drop down into the four loss ranks this week; Yes Papi’s opponent happens to be a four loss team, Team Mill. Last week Yes Papi’s lost was because of Andrew Luck and Saquon Barkley’s bye weeks, this week it will likely be due to WR Adam Thielen and Demaryius Thomas’ bye weeks.
Team Holmes is going through some things this season, after an amazing 4-0 start to his championship defense he has dropped three out of the last four. Two of those three losses were to under .500 teams, his opponent, VicTh3 Show, is another under .500 team (3-6) that is projected to walk away with the win in a close game, 105.5 to 103.6. Holmes’ thin roster is clearly to blame for his recent struggles, he depends on big games from QB Carson Wentz and TE Travis Kelce, he really has no other players with big game ability, except for RB Leonard Fournette who is coming off a knee injury.

The Belle of Football
Week 8 kicked off with a one sided TNF upset for Giants’ fans everywhere. Kudos to the RB Barkley 229 yards, first of his kind for the Giants, who looked disastrous otherwise….
Looking forward to Sunday’s match-up between the Chargers and the Browns? Me Too! Last week the Browns actually showed up to play, and WON! LOL, Jk, not really... Seriously, it was an exciting game. I mean let’s face it, the Browns have been terrible for a while. This is the first year they’ve shown up in any conversation, without being the butt of someone’s funny pun. I actually feel like it’s not just talk anymore. They’re producing on both sides of the ball, and with the Rookie Mayfield firing up his offense, this becomes a watchable game. This week they’re hosting the “Hollywood Chargers!” coming off of a home blowout vs. the Raiders, Chargers should be taking Electric Avenue all the way to Cleveland. All jokes aside I think this a real test for the Cleveland Browns. Can they host and beat a team outside of their division that’s consider to have an elite offense like the Chargers? Philip Rivers and Head Coach Anthony Lynn have already expressed how much of an improvement Browns have made on the Defensive side of the ball, and with the compliments of the offense, this 2-2-1 team is definitely on the rise. Meanwhile, RB combo Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler are putting up record setting numbers, on their way to having the 2nd most scrimmage yards by a duo EVER!
[Browns defense on the year: 15 take a way’s, 8 interceptions, 7 fumble recoveries, 14 sacks (most in the league), and their Pass Rush is on fire! Notable Defensive Players: LB James Collins Sr., SS Jabrill Peppers, DL Myles Garret, and CB Denzel Ward (leads in the league with 3 INT).]
Sunday Night features the Kansas City Chiefs vs. The New England Patriots. For so many reasons this is a highly anticipated game for all football fans. Whether you love/hate the Patriots or you’re riding with “Showtime Mahomes”, the “WOW” factor, in these two giants, is entertainment enough. While the Patriots have struggled so far this year, on the offensive side of the ball, last week’s addition of WR Julian “Juelz” Edleman, more touches for Rookie RB Sony Michel and WR Josh Gordon showed great promise. Finally, Pats fans have an offense to rally behind, right!? Of course! We knew at some point they’d figure out the offense, but, is it enough to outscore “Patomic Bomb Mahomes” and his monster offense? IBM’s Watson gives the Patriots a 58% likelihood to dominate the Chiefs. Much of it may be based on Chiefs lackluster defense, which is basically last in most areas. Chief’s defense has given up 400+ passing yards in 3 out of 5 games this year. Although, some would consider their Pass Rush as the best quality the defense brings, it’s No Bueno! Brady is the best in the pocket, so for the chief’s, rushing “The G.O.A.T” before he gets the ball out, is going to take more effort than they have.
This game definitely comes down to the wire, and will be a dog fight between Pats’ Defense and Chiefs’ offense. Questions looming around this game will be: Can Pats D’ keep Mahomes inside the pocket and put pressure on him? Will they get some incomplete passes, fumble recoveries, or even an INT? Whatever their game plan is, they are going to have to disrupt Patrick Mahomes enough to throw off their offense. Having said this, I don’t have a lot of faith that is possible. Kansas City Chiefs’ offense is young, skilled, and healthy, dominating even the Jags defense, which is something even #12 couldn’t handle. Kansas City’s offense is dominating in the passing and running game, with all receivers. RB Kareem Hunt has over 350+ rushing yards, followed by WR Tyreek Hill and TE Travis Kelce combining for almost 900 receiving yards on the year. Belichick and his defense have their hands full this week, hopefully they took advantage of the extra time off! Let’s get Reeaadyyy to rumble!!! Ding Ding!
A notable trade this week was Jamaal Wallace. From Denver to Jacksonville, Wallace is in Florida to give a boost to Jags running game; which is helpful considering Leonard Fournette is out indefinitely with a hamstring injury.
A few sleepers for Fantasy RB Week 6
Phillip Lindsay vs Rams, he’s definitely beating the rookie Royce Freeman out of the RB position.
Nyheim Hines vs. N.Y. Jets, is on the rise in Indianapolis, even with Marlon Mack making a return, he still gets a pretty decent workload good for 10 or more fantasy points.
Aaron Jones vs. 49ers’, if Mike McCarthy gets out of his own way, Jones is in for an explosive game.

Leonard Fournette, Jalen Hurts trade TD runs as Bucs hold 28-14 lead over Eagles
Leonard Fournette scored on a 1-yard touchdown run on the opening drive of the third quarter for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to extend their lead to 28-7 over the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night. Fournette’s run capped a 12-play, 79-yard drive by Tampa Bay as they have been in full control against the Eagles. Week 4 Preview
Tumblr media
Raiders @ Chargers
It’s week 4, and there are still a few teams that are undefeated. One of the 2-teams will be covered in my review of week 4 in the NFL. Let’s start with Las Vegas Raiders who are 3-0. This is the first time in nearly 20-years that the Raiders have been 3-0. That was back in the day, when it was Rich Gannon, Jerry Rice, Tim Brown, Charles Woodson etc.
The Raiders won their second overtime victory this season against the Dolphins 31-28. This week Las Vegas travels on the Road against the Chargers who came away with an impressive victory over the Kansas City Chiefs 30-24. For the Raiders this is more of a home game than a road game on the count of LA is home to the Raiders! Casey Hayward Jr, Denzel Perryman and Defensive Coordinator Gus Bradley will be facing their former team and should prove to be an advantage along with the Raider Nation in Full affect.
It will take a lot for the Raiders, as Justin Herbert is picking up where he left off from last season throwing for over 300-yards passing in each of the 3-games he’s played. On the defensive side of the ball, guys like Joey Bosa, Derwin James and Asante Samuel Jr. had their way with the Chiefs racking up 2-ints and 2-sacks.
Overall I think this will be another great game by divisional rivals, but I believe the Raiders will win 35-28.
Tumblr media
Bucs @ Pats
It’s the return of an unsung hero, Tom Brady, making his return to New England; the team where he won 6-Super Bowls. Last season Brady and the Pats went their separate ways. For Brady it was a fresh start in Tampa Bay, where he was surrounded by some familiar faces and some not so familiar faces. Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski, who were former Patriots joined brady to add to a powerhouse offense with Leonard Fournette and Mike Evans. If that wasn’t enough, the defense for the Bucs was dominant as well. Brady made history again, winning his 7th Super Bowl and making the Tampa Bucs the only team to host a Super Bowl and win it.
As for New England and Coach Bill Belichick things were different. This was uncharted waters for the Patriots. New England signed free agent Cam Newton as their starting QB, hoping that Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels could use Cam’s athleticism to give the team an advantage, something they didn’t have with Tom Brady. with the pandemic raging wild last season and not really having the training camp and preparation needed for many teams, the Patriots would finish 3rd in the AFC East at 7-9, missing the playoffs.
This season is a new start for both teams. The Bucs are defending their Super Bowl Championship and the Patriots are believing their first round rookie QB Mac Jones can be the future to New England winning again soon. Both teams are coming off a loss last week as Tampa Bay loss to the Rams on the road 24-34. New England got beat bad at home to the Saints 28-13.  As for Sunday Night’s matchup in New England, Tom Brady will look to beat his former team and get the Bucs back on track. Bucs win 28-14.
Tumblr media
   Cardinals @ Rams
The West will heat up, as both 3-0 teams will collide in Los Angels. Control for the top of the division will be decided as the Cardinals and the Rams settle their differences on Sunday. Arizona has come into this season much improved, adding free agents such as JJ Watt and AJ Green along with Kyler’s Murray play at QB. Arizona came away in week 1 with an blowout victory over the Titans 38-13 and a 1-point win over the Vikings 34-33 in week 2. This week will be a challenge for the Cardinals, as they face the Rams who have playmakers on the defense and offensive side of the ball.
The Rams parted ways with Jared Goff, trading for Matt Stafford, the longtime QB of the Lions. The team went out and signed speedster Desean Jackson to give the Rams a deep threat at receiver. In week 1, Los Angeles showed what they could do offensively with Stafford who threw for 321YDS and 3TDs.
I love the Cardinals offense and defense but i believe the Rams will win this one 34-27.

Focus: NFL
Tumblr media
The NFL’s 102nd season will kick-off on Thursday after we saw Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win Super Bowl LV. The Bucs will of course be looking to defend their title and they certainly have the offence to do it. Rob Gronkowski, Leonard Fournette and Chris Godwin are just some of the attacking weapons the team has.
Their defence is similarly strong with three guys who had at least eight sacks last season in Devin White, Jason Pierre-Paul and Shaquil Barrett. Week Four will provide a very tasty game with the Bucs going to New England to play Brady’s former team, the Patriots.
The Kansas City Chiefs will be looking for revenge this season after losing the Super Bowl to the Bucs. Patrick Mahomes provides explosive offense especially when he has the likes of Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Travis Kelce to throw to.
The Buffalo Bills impressed last season and will again be one of the teams to watch this year. Quarterback Josh Allen threw for over 47,000 yards and 37 touchdowns in 2020. They made it to the conference championship game but lost to Kansas City. A conference finals revenge rematch could be on the cards this season.
Aaron Rodgers is still looking for his second Super Bowl after his 2010 victory and the quarterback will hope his Green Bay Packers can go all the way this time. There were a lot of offseason rumours that Rodgers had requested a trade but he hasn’t gone anywhere.
The Cleveland Browns are no longer an NFL team to laugh at and they have a lot of potential this year. Their offence already looks good so it’s all about bringing their defence up to scratch. Baker Mayfield will have to play his best if the QB wants that contract extension.
The Tennessee Titans have an offence that includes Julio Jones and A.J. Brown who can easily score 30 or more points on their opponents. This would be a great stat if it wasn’t for their defence giving the points right back. If the Titans want to progress this year, they must tighten up their defence.
QB Lamar Jackson and his Baltimore Ravens have a hard year ahead of them due to injuries. Rashod Bateman is going to miss the first three games and Marquise Brown is still recovering. But it’s running back J.K. Dobbins who had Pro Bowl potential, who is the biggest miss.
The New England Patriots and the New Orleans Saints will both be interesting teams to watch this season. New quarterbacks for both sides will make a huge difference to how they perform.
One player to watch this season will be the first overall pick of the NFL Draft 2021, Trevor Lawrence. The Jacksonville Jaguars now has a national championship winning quarterback in their side but Lawrence will have a lot to do. The Clemson University alum will look to improve on the Jaguars’ terrible 1-15 record from last year.
They lost two preseason games before Lawrence put on an impressive display in their third game against the Dallas Cowboys where he threw two touchdowns. All eyes will be on him to see how he performs in the regular season.
Rookie Trey Lance is another one to watch at the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers have been inconsistent in past seasons and a lot of that has been down to their QB issues. Lance will battle for the position with San Francisco’s starter Jimmy Garoppolo, who spent most of last season injured.
Lance impressed at college level with the Minnesota native winning two national championships in the FCS, the second tier of college football.
The opening game will see Tampa Bay play the Dallas Cowboys. Dak Prescott is ready to lead an attack that may well turn into one of the best of 2021. How they fair against the Bucs will be a good projection of where they will end up this season.

How the Buccaneers went from 7-9 to the Super Bowl in one year
Tumblr media
It wasn’t just because of Tom Brady.
The Buccaneers rose to top of the NFC just one year after languishing in third place of the NFC South. The biggest storyline behind Tampa’s turnaround is obviously the signing of Tom Brady, but that’s a reductive way to look at the team. In reality, there were dozens of small moves and tweaks that turned Tampa Bay into a powerhouse.
Yes, this is a team that was built with haste through free agency and trades — but it’s also a lesson in Bruce Arians and Co. knowing that they had a squad that was very close to competing in a major way despite finishing under .500. The Bucs’ ability to fine-tune the roster and become a the NFC champion offers a lesson to the rest of the league about the many paths to team building.
What caused the Bucs to go 7-9 in 2019?
The meme-worthy candidate of the 2019 roster was quarterback Jameis Winston, who threw for a career-high 33 touchdowns, but also an astonishing 30 interceptions. A risky passer by nature, Winston rarely saw a throw he didn’t like. This would be a tremendous problem on most teams, but Tampa had unnaturally good receivers who could fight for the ball and turn risky passes into big gains.
Mike Evans and Chris Godwin were easily the league’s best WR duo, both making the Pro Bowl. However, while they were able to bail out Winston a lot, there were plenty of times they couldn’t. It pushed Tampa Bay to a -13 turnover differential, one of the worst in the NFL. It’s a testament to how good the team was that it managed to win seven games with such a poor turnover differential, but the devil is in the details here too.
While Tampa lost nine games, the margin in every game was exceeding low. Six losses were by one score or less, with the average margin of loss in these games of 4.5 points. You can probably see where I’m going here. With that many turnovers, the team should have been losing big — but the front office recognized that they weren’t. Getting a quarterback who could provide a steadier hand and made less mistakes but could still take advantage of the stellar Bucs receivers would make a huge difference.
Enter Tom Brady.
Why Tom Brady was such an upgrade for the Bucs.
The most interceptions Brady has ever thrown is 14, in 2002, 2004, and 2005. This is less than half of Winston in 2019. Brady also has a career yards-per-attempt of 7.5 compared to Winston’s 7.7. This meant that Brady was tailor made to be a quarterback who could take the Bucs to the next level. He offered almost identical production when it came to moving the ball, paired with someone who wouldn’t turn it over as much.
When you have a team that lost most of its games by less than a touchdown, that’s a substantial difference.
But it wasn’t just Brady.
A key part to the success this season was Tampa’s ability to keep the band together. Flying under the radar for much of free agency before Brady, the team re-signed Jason Pierre-Paul and Ndamukong Suh on defense, kept Shaquil Barrett though the franchise tag. The Bucs had continuity by retaining three key starters, all brought back for the big run.
The jewel may have been drafting Antoine Winfield Jr in the second round, who quickly proved to be one of the best defensive rookies in the league. It filled one of the last defensive gaps the team had.
On offense, Tampa Bay kept its offensive line together, which is the underrated part of their success this year. Sure, getting Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Antonio Brown and Leonard Fournette were the big moves that made waves — but keeping the protection intact and adding Tristan Wirfs in the draft took it to the next level.
The Buccaneers allowed 47 sacks in 2019 compared to only 22 this year. Part of that is on Brady’s smarts and quick release, but also a credit to how good this unit is.
The Bucs did build a lot of their talent through free agency, but the bones were already there
There’s a tendency to look at Tampa Bay as a team build solely through money. Part of that is true, but the reality is that the front office looked deep at what issues the Buccaneers had, and corrected the small errors that were holding the team back.
Tampa did a masterful job in keeping the best part of its roster intact. All of the talent brought in served to complement an already talented group The truth is that while Brady is the vector of the team’s success, both sides of the ball is what got the team to this point. It’s why the Buccaneers deserves to be the last NFC team, and has earned the right to be in the Super Bowl. Write them off at your peril.

NFL News 3-6-19
Hey sportz fans! Today there are a lot of news around the league including the Browns cutting Jamie Collins, the Ravens cut Eric Weddle, and the Rams cut Mark Barron. The Bears also signed another kicker to compete with Redford Jones, the Bears signed Chris Blewitt. The Bears have done so much this offseason to free money and if you ask me it only seems like they're trying to get a star or star in the making. And I don't expect the Bears to resign Amos Jr., here are 4 players I believe the Bears may sign this offseason.
1. Bryce Callahan, why? The most important thing these days are slot corners. It just so happens he is one of the best in the business. The Bears would leave it down McManis who let up the game winning touchdown pass on 4th and goal to Nick Foles.
2. Stephan Gostkowski, why? The Bears are struggling to find a kicker and this is the perfect one coming off the Patriots the kicker was a key factor for the Patriots and the Bears would need him to be the perfect kicker also.
3. Landon Collins, why? The safety is a very important role and Landon Collins played it best also that would mean the Bears get rid of Amos Jr. Collins was on the Giants and was shockingly not franchise tagged.
4. T.J. Yeldon, why? The back was over taken by Leonard Fournette and is a good running back and would be a solid veteran for the Chicago Bears and the Bears may trade Jordan Howard away to a new home.
Thank you for reading the article have a nice day to all!
