Welcome home has been EVERYWHERE since it came out recently and I've been in absolute love.

“Rocky Roller is Welcome Home’s most goofiest and active roller skater! This vibrant, athletic rollerblader’s always scooting around town with a cheery smile on his face, either playing with the residents or dragging them to try a new sport. Cheerful, dynamic, strong, and spirited, Rocky’s here to rock your world!’

*Rocky is considered a side character, as his appearances in the show are not as much as those of the main 9. There is currently no information on his family, nor how he moved here. Even in the few books he’s featured in, he doesn’t reveal much about himself, as he’s delegated more as the show’s helper for topics than an actual character.

*Debuting in ‘Stay Safe, Sally!’, Rocky had appeared seemingly out of nowhere to warn Sally about playing in open roads, stopping her from running out before she would perform a play. This would cement one of his two roles, being an extra explainer (much similar to Frank) for topics that the cast would learn from. Ranging from simple things, like keeping clean and recycling, to more complex areas like bullying and dealing with sadness. His second role, however, is more present and noticeable, as he’s considered the ‘coach’ of the neighborhood. Episodes involving sports, such as soccer or football, would often be led by Rocky. ‘Rocky Roller’s World’ is the first episode to feature this, as he teaches the cast how to roller skate safely.

His best friend seems to be Howdy. Even in the background when he’s not present in an episode, he’s seen always talking with Howdy, often skating to his store in the intro. Howdy himself says that Rocky is one ‘fun fellow to be around! He’s always skatin’ in my shop to chat up. And he’s a real jitterbug on the dance floor, you know! *giggle*’ (from ‘How’s The Garden, Howdy?’, episode 54, season 2).*

*Concept art features Rocky in a vast array of outfits, as it seems the idea for him to be roller skating would be as far back as the development of the show in the first place. Always featuring him helping someone, or chatting with Howdy. In the show, he would usually be played by two puppeteers. One acting as the upper body, the other acting as his legs as he scoots around. If he is needed to show his skating, one puppeteer is said to be set on a board with wheels to give the feeling of Rocky gliding effortlessly throughout the neighborhood*
