today was like eating a big ass ice cream cake in the morning and then getting shot in the balls in the evening.

gosh i can only imagine how finana and elira feel... pomu was definitely a pillar of support and a role model for so many people in EN

she was always organising these big collabs and getting everyone in EN to sing together... she was described by EN talents to be someone very supportive and nurturing despite how chaotic and gremlin-like she is sometimes

i was literally just watching her lethal company collab with selen, millie and vivi before i saw the announcement. she's just effortlessly funny, so so so talented and hardworking. i wish pomu the absolute best for whatever she chooses to do after her time in niji. it's going to suck so bad not seeing her pop up in my subscriptions anymore but after nina, mysta and mika i just am numb to it i guess

i may not be super into nijien atm but i still love and care about the talents dearly. they're all such amazing individuals and deserve the best. thank you pomu for all that you've done and congrats on all that you've accomplished <3

First Impressions of the new Nijisanji Wave "XSOLEIL" a.k.a. Fangirling Over Nijisanji

Very positive first impressions of the new wave! Usually when a generation debuts, there is one member of the group that I really really really like, except in cases like Lazulight (Nijisanji EN's 1st gen), Ethyria (Nijisanji EN's 3rd wave... it really seems like third waves are lucky, like in the case of Hololive JP's famous 3rd gen), and Luxiem (Nijisanji EN's 4th gen) where there are 3+ favorites in the group, but I think that it is really special that in their 7th gen (XSOLEIL), there are 2 personalities that I have really taken a liking to!

Ike Eveland is my favorite male EN member, but Ver Vermillion from the newly released group may be a second favorite, though it would be difficult to outshine Uki Violetta. From his 2.0 stream, it seems that he's an INFP as well, which is strange because I always seem to get along really well with INFPs (both romantically and in friendships). It seems like a stereotype for ENFJs and INFPs to be compatible though, so I'm just another cog in the Jungian psychological theory! I usually am not super into characters that are the super voluptuous, "mommy" stereotype in anime/Vtubers, but I really liked Meloco Kyōran. Both her and Hex are fellow rain-lovers, and I can really respect that.

Ver's character illustrator (@fuyuomi) also did two of my favorite male Vtuber designs Holostars' Rikka and Nijisanji JP's Hayato Kagami, they are a great artist! I wasn't familiar with Meloco's artist beforehand but her character art looked really pretty with the Live2D rendering!

My ranking of Nijisanji EN debut songs as of now

With the debut of XSOLEIL I decided to rank the NijiEn debut songs from the one I liked the most to the one I liked the least. Mind you, I love all of them and the ranking will change and probably changed already many times before. It really depends on what music I'm in mood for that day. This current ranking just shows how I feel about them at this particular moment.

Without further ado, let's start.

1. Hope in the dark (Luxiem)

I'm always proud to say I'm a fan of everyone in Nijisanji but of course I still have my favourites. And Luxiem just has a special place in my heart. Which means Hope in the dark just has to take the first place on my ranking basically everytime. Happy first anniversary, Luxiem!

2. Hold It Down (XSOLEIL)

I didn't expect to like it so much but lately I've been listening to it nonstop. Gives a feeling of being a cool kid in school lol. With a bit of edge, of that makes sense. Doppio's contrary is so good too. Man has incredible voice. I also like how while every member sounds different together they just fit so well.

3. Diamond City Lights (Lazulight)

What started it all. The total classic, most twerkable song ever. I couldn’t not place them in the top 3 just because of the meaning this has to the whole fandom.

4. God Sees All (Ethyria)

I'm in love with Enna's voice, it’s just so beautiful. It's hard to describe why I like this song, there's just something...so godly and mysterious about God Sees All. I can't ever get bored with it.

5. Black Out (Obsydia)

Honestly, I had trouble deciding between Black Out and God Sees All but as I said in the introduction, I just have more Ethyria's song mood as of now. Still, it doesn't change the fact that when Black Out came out I kept listening to it on loop. Obsydia's voices blend together so well and the song feels powerful.

6. Stuck In The Abyss (Noctyx)

I really like the futuristic vibes Stuck in the Abyss gives and Sonny's and Alban's solos are my favourite parts of the song. A very strong song. But now it also feels a bit bittersweet though. #ThankyouYugo

7. Let's Get It Started (ILUNA)

I love Ren's vocals and the happy mood Let's Get It Started puts me in. Not once have I just danced alone at home while listening to it. But I'm still a little sad that they used too much autotune on others aside Ren and Maria. Doesn't change the fact that I still love this song tho haha.

it's been a little time since The Event took place, but oh do I already miss pomu rainpuff, world's strongest virtual fairy from nijisanji en first wave lazulight!

she was never a kamioshi, but I always loved her passion for her otaku interests. never again will I find another Vtuber as passionate as her about maids, idols and metal gear. her pomufication spread far and wide, and her kahen sanren mix really took fans around the world by storm, exposing people like me, who weren't into j-pop idol culture, to wotagei and chants.

what do I even say about metal gear, except that her boundless enthusiasm about the franchise actually made me consider buying the games (I didn't buy them in the end because all I have is a potato laptop😭). such is the power of a 7 cm fairy!! she always made her streams fun as hell, and brought unpredictability to many collab streams as well. <3<3<3

i didn't think I would be writing a whole essay lmao, but yes, hopefully I see her again in another universe, and even if I don't, I wish her nothing but happiness, good health and success her entire life.
