We have all the bits that came in from Japan for it, the sight options, a backup out barrel and the actual Detonator HK45 slide. Was sat a week in a Parcelforce delivery office because they hadn’t bothered to send the letter with the stupid reference code so I could pay customs charges. I think I will be recording the video for the build tonight or tomorrow, so I can get it up this week. Been waiting too long to finish this one. Which will give me more time to play with the @somogear2020 CQBL-1 review I had planned to film tonight. So didn’t buy this Sig Air MCX Virtus to review, sort of bought to use as a base for another project. Not sure though if it will actually be possible. Now I have it in my hands. Will be doing a little more with it later in the week however to investigate what is possible. It is basically the same VFC gearbox to the Novritsch SSR-15 but the exterior quality is strides ahead of the SSR-15. Just finished doing a recorded session upgrading my old @tokyo_marui HK45 Tactical. Added a new HK45 120mm Maple Leaf Crazy Jet inner barrel, an RA Tech HK45 Outer Barrel, Flamingo 50A bucking and a Laylax Nineball Hammer Spring. Delivery today of some more parts for the USP compact build. The new slide and sights came for the build. I am waiting on a piston which I have managed to find that may fit to come. Been looking for a Thermal Imager to rifle mount for a while and the Leupold LTO Tracker and the LTO Tracker HD were excellent candidates. Wasn’t able to find anyone in the UK who had either of them in stock until I found this LTO Tracker unit on eBay. Managed to win the auction for less than I was expecting it to go for and it arrived this week just in time for Christmas. Can be mounted on a rifle with a 30mm scope mount, which works nicely. Tested it out on a couple of rifles and looks like it could work out. Has several colour modes including a Green option. The docs say it isn’t designed to withstand recoil of a firearm, but I reckon it will be find on an AEG or even a GBBR. Not sure how I can really zero it on a gun however. So this is my Norco Threahold Cyclecross bike. It is basically a cross between a Mountain Bike and a Road bike. One of four bikes I own. It is designed to go off road, with ticker tyres than a road bike that are not as wide as a mountain bike. Gearing is sort of in between that of a road bike and a mountain bike. Today’s ride was an odd one, all the river path around Putney and Hammersmith Bridge area was flooded as a result of the very high tides over the next couple of days. Made for some interesting riding, was glad I but my Goretex shoes on. Tuesday post CQB Training ride, and post bike service ride. Actually recoverd after Saturday pretty easily, did had some elbow pain on Saturday and Sunday but was all clear by yesterday. If you ride remember toregularly service your bike. Surprisingly my Norco Cyclecross bike which hadn't had a service in about 1500km was in pretty good shape, only needed the tape on the handle bars replacing which I did and I need a new rear tire, but I will need to wait till the stock is in for the Continental one I am after.
