Yay I’m so glad you answered about anime! Violet evergarden is one I’ve seen circulating but I’ve never gotten around to watching it but I’ll add it to my list! It sounds emotional and I tend to really enjoy anime that makes me shed a few tears haha. I like a little bit of everything but definitely started off with shonen and it showed me how cool the anime community could be. Hunter x hunter is one of my favs as well I hope to one day read the manga for it when I have more time on my hands! The phantom troupe really is such an interesting bunch but my favorite character has to be kruapika, his development in the first half of the show was unmatched I think he’s such a cool little guy even though he scares me with how passionate he can be lollll
Soy family is awesome!! I haven’t caught up with the newer episodes but I love it sm it’s made me laugh so much and I originally started it bc I needed a break from some of the more serious and heavy animes I was watching at the time. I have a fat crush on yor she’s so sweet and beautiful but also something about a woman with knives gets to me LMAOO
Chainsaw man is one that I read the manga for recently after taking a break from manga/anime and it sucked me right back in its so good and has such a unique storyline imo!!
Yeah, Violet Evergarden just popped up on my Netflix one day and I watched the preview and I decided to give a try because it looked interesting and was sooo pretty. Binge watched the show in like a day. Very glad they ended up making a few movies afterwards. The ending of the series was good, but not quite what you want, so when the movie came out I was so excited and it was just a perfect ending. Cried a lot, some happy and some sad.
And I agree about wanting to read Hunter x Hunter some day, but it’s so daunting with the amount out. I want to, but it’ll definitely take a lot of time but I think it would be worth it to read.
Spy x Family really is amazing! And I want to read the manga for it too! It’s just a nice break from other shows and always just makes you feel all warm. I absolutely adore all the characters (except Fiona) and agree with your sentiment on Yor! She’s probably my favorite, though Anya is a very close second. And I love their relationship with each other. It’s so sweet.
And I haven’t made it too far in Chainsaw Man yet, but I like what I’ve seen so far! I love the wackiness about it so far, and reminds me a little of Dorohedoro in feels of weirdness and I am here for it!

'We can't do this'-kiss for leopika pls?
The faint rustling of sheets wakes him. Leorio knows, without needing to open his eyes, that if he rolls over, reaches out, he'll find an empty bed instead of warm skin. He does it anyway, and it hurts anyway, the sting of loss just the way he expected to start today off with.
After all, nothing good can ever stay.
No amount of bracing, of knowing what to expect, ever prepares him for this part. Seeing Kurapika, half shadowed and half gilded in dawn's light, doing up his shirt buttons with his back turned to Leorio on the other side of the bed. Love bites dot the otherwise smooth expanse of his skin, dark marks between the thin silver and red lines of fading scars. Leorio lets himself pretend just for a moment, that Kurapika will come back over and kiss him again; that if he reaches out and fits his palm to the curve of Kurapika's hips, he can convince him with sweet persuasion and gentle words to come back to bed. To stay. But that fantasy can't hold up under the bittersweet weight of Leorio's resignation to reality.
Leorio pushes himself up, and Kurapika's hands stop for just a moment. Then continue their steady progress.
"No chance you could stay a little longer?" Leorio asks without much hope, his voice barely a rumble in his chest.
Standing, Kruapika tucks his shirt into his slacks, and Leorio wishes he could bring himself to grab him. Wishes, selfishly, that he was enough of a reason to stay. Kurapika lets out a quiet breath. "i've stayed here too long already."
Leorio thinks but doesn't say half a dozen things, frustrated and diverted and useless. Finally, instead, he says, "Will you call me this time? Or start answering your phone, at least?"
It comes out too bitter to be playful, and the way Kurapika glances over his shoulder, mouth set in a firm line, shows that he knows it.
Too much. But Leorio can't, doesn't, apologize for it. Just lets out a quiet sigh and rubs the back of his neck as he looks away from his heart's desire given human form.
Soft footsteps sound. Kurapika makes his way around the bed, from his side to Leorio's, and sitting like this, he's taller than Leorio for once. It's a little unusual to have to look up at him, but it just makes the knot in Leorio's chest tighten. He reaches out, his hand faltering halfway.
"Am I not... Couldn't you stay a little longer?" Leorio asks, quiet in the silence of their room.
Kurapika's hand clench at his sides and Leorio sees them right before he shoves them into his pockets, ruining the straight line of his pants. He leans down, a quiet misery in the creases of his tightly closed eyes. Leorio knows, with a solid certainty, that they're probably bleeding read. Kurapika rests his forehead against Leorio's and then, with the slow, inexorable force of gravity, or destiny, or simple heartache, his lips brush Leorio's. A dry, chaste contact. Leorio leans into it, but-
Kurapika pulls away.
Slumps down just a little further, his forehead resting in the curve of Leorio's neck and shoulder. "We can't do this. You know I can't stay."
Leorio wants to hold him. But even just the single point of contact feels fragile, liable to break, and Leorio can't. He can't be the reason Kurapika loses what little he has left. Still, miserable, hands hovering a bare few half inches away from Kurapika, he says, "You could. We could do this, if -"
"There's just to much at stake."
And too much that Kurapika can't bring himself to let go of, Leorio knows. But he knew who he fell in love with. He knew the stakes and risked it anyway. He reaches up to cup the back of Kurapika's neck, gentle, rubbing his thumb in tender circles on the tense muscle there. "I know," Leorio whispers into Kurapika's golden hair. "I know. But make sure you come home to me, will you?"
Two warm hands come up to grip the back of Leorio's shirt as Kurapika holds him tightly. "I'll try."
