OC DUMP!!!!! And a rambly life update haha
Haven’t been drawing a lot because the semester was difficult ESPECIALLY around finals. As a break between studying I would often sketch my Kirby ocs! These were are all scattered throughout August - December. Still making the ref for Sir Meteor, so he hasn’t been introduced officially yet (unless you have seen me post about him in discords lol), but he’s been a work-in-progress ever since I posted those allosaurus skull studies in August X)
My winter break has started recently and I’m itching to create again, especially since I have those requests that I opened, I wanted to do them way faster but assignments are priority sadly. As a reward for anyone who has read this far, have a peek at my next planned full piece!

1. First game you played obsessively?
Kirby and the amazing mirror! Like, as in terribly utterly obsessed because I loved how the game looked, felt, and played! And I was huge on Kirby the entire time too! And that was just me at age 5, tbh, when you had 3 other kirbies adventuring with you, it was hard not having fun!!!
Plus, Dark Mind was my favorite boss ever! And dark meta knight??? I never expected him to be a villain at all!
5. Ever use cheat codes?
Not at all unless I really needed it to do certain things! (I.E: For my own research purposes)or when I simply am emulating and just need to get things quicker lmao.
I generally try not to though so at least I’m staying true to the games!
...And also because generally the codes confuse me if they aren’t in game already lmfao
14. Favorite game music?
Ooooh, definitely from either Final Fantasy, Kirby, or Pokemon..!
But I also love Persona 2′s soundtrack and battle themes, while I dearly loved FFVI’s boss battle and Terra’s theme. Pokemon had Cynthia’s battle theme as well as many songs from Emerald and Kirby all around usually was great songs!Especially cabbage cavern, that was my favorite ever in a game soundtrack!
50. If you were a game designer, what masterpiece would you create?
You know? Honestly, masterpiece wise I’d try to string a great plot or character design in terms of the visuals and savoring of a game. Me personally, a game needs to hold visually and theoretically so that it allows for replay! I’d rather replay a game that immerses you in a strong plot and good characters than just merely a beautiful landscape.
If there’s no real story, no real sewn characters in say, a decrepit game space like the GBA or say something very unappealing, why play it?
That is how I feel about most games, and it also happens to be why I play a lot of Persona! Honestly, the old persona games held themselves up the way how it characterized Philemon or Nyarlathotep as well as my girl Eriko Kirishima amongst others, and while the game was not artistically the most pleasant in terms of dungeon designs and environments in my honest opinion, it didn’t need that when the plot was building itself and the capabilities of the Ps1 didn’t give it the visuals we have as in P5!
Instead, we had a wonderfully complex plot involving forgiveness, the duality of man, the vulnerability of the human reason, and so on!
I wanna model that for myself later in, maybe with my OCs as well!

I made a kirby oc months ago, drew a bunch of art for him, then literally forgot to post any of it :,) say hello to Terra Knight!!
He’s a variation of the typical astral, instead of being from the stars, he was born from the last wishes of a dying planet. Despite having a natural talent for fighting, he lets it go to waste in favor of the pursuit of knowledge. His story is set in a mix of the anime and game verse, where he was encouraged to join the GSA. Upon becoming mixed in a conspiracy that leads to a friend dying, he desserts the army entirely and eventually finds himself working for the Haltman Works Company.

I want to know more about Terra! What kind of planet was he born from? Did that have an effect on his appearance? What kinds of hobbies does he have?
Also Terra Knight is so cute can I give him some scritches pls pls pls
Terra Knight's name is the biggest clue as to which planet he came from!
Heavily based off our own Earth, the planet Terra Star has gone through many mass extinctions. With each one has came a new puffball born of the destruction. In the og post, i mentioned he has siblings, and that is how! Jurassic Knight is Terra's older sibling and later on when working for Haltman, he gains a younger sibling, Shiver Knight. Jurassic Star > Terra Star > Shiver Star > ???
Exactly how a astral is formed does indeed have an affect on appearance! Horns and hooves generally mark a planet-born, wings mark star-borns, other features like tails and ears come from misc space objects like comets. These can mix as well! Jurassic Knight would have horns and a tail because in his case, a meteor struck the planet that would eventually be Shiver Star. Galacta Knight was born of a destructive supernova that took out several solar systems.
Early on, Terra's main hobbies consisted of finding way to avoid training. He eventually befriends a lot of GSA infromats, librarians, and archivists, who he loves to learn from. While not dedicated to one specific hobby, activities like storytelling, book binding, decoding, and reading are his cup of tea. He looses his passion for those hobbies-turned-jobs while working for Haltman, but takes care of his young sister Shiver in his sparse free time.

Thinking about my kirby oc to distract myself from the horrors <3
#Kirby oc: Terra Knight#I’be been redesigning him a bit as well as fleshing out his relationship with his daughter#as well as in general exploring what happened while TK was working for Haltman#TK and Haltman were somewhat friends and the more that he lost his mind it made TK sad but he stood by him as things got worse#Terra is a really ambiguous person because he’s really loyal and passionate about knowledgebut he also condones planetary destruction SOOOOO#things at HWC get more complicated when Susie arrives#TK and Susie have things in common and they hate each other#Susie is mad that Terra will be closer to her father than she ever will#Terra just thinks she’s a bitch at first but things get personal when Shiver Star gets mechanized by HWC#in this universe Astrals (Terra Knights) species are formed by the dying wish of planets/stars#so when Shiver Star was destroyed a new astral was formed and taken into the ship#Susie wants to use the new puffball as research for her… upgrades#Terra Knight wants to take in and raise this baby he named Shiver#they take it up to the company president and upon hearing TK call Shiver a daughter he allows TK to be in charge of Shiver#Susie is pissed and tells Terra Knight that one day she will use him for her upgrades#that’s foreshadowing#when HWC invades Popstar and MK is captured she makes good on that threat and essentially betrays TK to get his… spare parts…#needless to say TK did not survive that#Shiver learned of this and escaped the ship to find refuge on Popstar#and when MK learns that part of his ‘upgrading’ process involved some Frankenstein with a astral he never met he feels extremely violated#eventually MK finds Shiver in the wilderness and eventually learns more of the knight who lives on inside him#the information leaves him extremely conflicted but he decides to begin to mentor Shiver to honor Terra Knight nonetheless

He’s a work in progress still but I wanted to share the first pass of his completed look so badly X)
I’ve had Sir Meteor in progress since August 2023, if you want to see the progress it will be under the read more!
Sir Meteor’s story starts with my fist kirby OC I made, Terra Knight! I won’t talk about him too much except that I knew from early on he had a older brother. TK originally has a skull mask in his very early concepts, but then I learned Axe Knight existed, and they looked too similar. I shelved the concept for a while until I had more ideas.
In August 2023, I started to sketch out allosaurus skulls because I had wanted to revisit the concept and thought maybe I would redesign Terra Knight to have a dinosaur skull mask. It did not happen, but that planted the seed.
In November, I had been struck with inspiration and started doodling. The name is very important to the lore of my OCs and is very deliberate, so once I figured out the name for Sir Meteor, a lot of elements fell into place instantly!!
This is the first time I gave Meteor colors, and I also put him next to his siblings so they would look cohesive. Me mentioning how he doesn’t even have shoes yet is foreshadowing.
In the following day, I sketched him more to get a feeling for his design!!
The most notable thing about this is probably 1.) here I cemented the twin-tail cape because it looks like the tail of a comet and 2.) since it looked like a comet, I wanted the pauldron to include a star somehow
Also fun fact!!! The shape of his horns is directly inspired by Triceratops horns!!
Which led to the designing of his pauldrons later in November!
I ended up combining elements of the first and third design because together they would look like shooting stars!
This is also when I decided on giving him the four pointed star blushing! Around this time I posted a sketch of Meta Knight with star blushes and I wanted to include more fun blush shapes. Also the four pointed star is a subtle Galacta Knight reference! Sir Meteor is genuinely old, prehistoric even, and he comes from that time period, and I wanted the star shapes to reflect that
After this I was stuck. I was extremely stuck and could not figure out how to design his shoes. Since everything else was so themed, it had to mean the shoes had to match as well. I wanted to keep the prehistoric/star themes, going strong. I tried a few times to give him plain armor but it did not look correct at all!
I took a few months to think about it. Another important thing is that whatever shoe I drew had to look good and cohesive with AND without his skull mask. It was hard to balance but yesterday (21 February) I began to cook.
On the sketch page, you can see how the thought process evolved from the top of the page downwards. You can see the “haha drawing smiles with sharp teeth- oh wait a minute hold on” happen in real time.
On the page on the right, is when I finally designed his shoes!!! THE EVIL IS DEFEATED!!!!
This character is so heavily themed and I thought about it so much. So. Much. If anyone actually read this breakdown you deserve a gold star thank you for listening to my insane, several month long thought process. I’m so proud of him for a reason. Now I need to finalize the colors and stuff but for now enjoy!
