i do !! 🤧 i feel so bad for not being able to put more time and love into it because i have SO many ideas for it so many concepts and slightly started fleshing out everything for that game but creating art and having severe mental health issues is definitely not a good combination, also paired with a lot of stuff going on irl means i have even less time to work on it. i currently don’t have access to my own laptop/computer it’s quite literally several states away so actually starting to make the game itself depends on me finally moving and getting settled down - i do have a couple concept art sketches done and will likely have more freetime to do art soo maybe when i’m not working on commissions i’ll sketch/create more concept stuff! i will say the game is not entirely abandoned or anything but with current life circumstances being able to work on it is hindered, but yes to answer your question i still think of it often and still would like to eventually do stuff with it! and maybe actually go through with fully developing & making an entire game out of it ^_^ i appreciate that there’s still ppl interested !

i have had. this working concept in my head about an lgbt furry dating sim that’s in shoujo/anime style bc that’s the art style i like drawing in and it’d possible be called “Kemono Village” or something like that. and it’d have the aesthetic of calico critters/animal crossing/beatrix potter/etc like its set in the countryside and you just moved into your own little cottage and get to meet all your cute animal neighbors & can build friendships with all of them and eventually date one of them.

the protag is nonbinary / uses they/them and i’m still thinking on what species i’d like for them but most likely they’ll be a cat since they’re my fav animal and if i ever did anything w/ this project its mainly for myself first and foremost. i wanna make actual lore for the village itself too!

idk i’ve just been envisioning it in my head for the past week, i already had a concept similar to this a long time ago w/ ocs i made up as a young teen, but now since i feel my style has developed more fully and i have a better grasp on writing it could turn out better ^_^ might draw up some concept art soon who knows…

along with pursuing your own partner (who will also be your future husband/wife/spouse in the game) i may include paths that make other characters convinced by you to pair up with someone else entirely (basically encouraging other villagers who you’ve made clear you’re not interested in to date another villager you think they’d match better with!) (there will be other canon pairings in the game besides that of which is w/ the protagonist)

not me thinking of making a specific scene in kemono village where you’re on a date w/ the wolf lady and it suddenly starts pouring rain and you both don’t have an umbrella so she takes her coat off and holds it over your head to protect you from getting wet..... (definitely not inspired by my wife & i’s first date or anything...)

my bestie has a lot of experience in making music especially related to video games and has been discussing w/ me music for kemono village and even sent me a sample track earlier today 🥺 and i already have a general theme in mind for the title screen/opening scene. and i wanna make a day and night theme and depending on the weather just like in animal crossing the music theme’s sound changes w/ the weather. it’s been so fun actually developing this even if just basic concepts so far, i haven’t felt this creative & motivated with art since i was a child/young teen and i’d draw constantly. there was a sharp decline in motivation for art for me over the recent years and now i feel like i wanna draw and develop my art even more because of this project.

i have soo many ideas in my head for Kemono Village btw.. i really want to make use of flower symbolism/meanings and the protag explores the forest/meadows searching for a specific flower or two to give to one of the love interests according to specific reasons tied to the love interest’s lore/personality. also building friendship levels up until you’re dating based around activities a specific love interest likes, like baking bread together, sharing gossip over a cup of tea, going on a picnic, gardening, etc! idk all of this is just concepts rn but i’m enjoying thinking of what mechanics/features to add if i do make this game.

just wanted to say your game sounds amazing! i have not really been excited for a video game in. ... awhile now, but i could definitely see myself counting down the days to its release. do you plan on making a sideblog or something of the sort to post updates/ideas? would love to follow!
