Hi Celta! Hope you’re staying cool :) Hopefully, nothing critical is amiss with the Wales. IMO William withdrew from the Thanksgiving Service because KCIII was setting him/W up to appear in public with Andrew (and Fergie), and letting W take the inevitable fall. William said, “Nope!” Remember the backlash W/C took merely because they were asked to drive in a car with Andrew? Optics. 

And because KCIII is hellbent on propping QC up as his co-monarch…over the actual heir, William. I wonder, did HLMQEII ever ask Prince Phillip to represent her over the actual heir, Charles, once C came of age? KCIII is extremely jealous of William and is trying to undermine his own son and heir.

I think it was the presence of Prince Andrew as well. 

I have noticed King Charles positioning Camilla as his co-ruler instead of the consort role, and it annoys me no end. I can not remember a single time that Prince Philip stood in for Her Late Majesty at official events - that role was always given to Prince Charles as far as I recall. The only time I remember Prince Philip being involved in any sort of ‘stand in’ role was when the Queen had forgotten her glasses so Prince Philip had to read her speech for her. :)

I could be nice and say that the King is letting Camilla stand in for him so Prince William has more time to spend with Catherine, which might even be true. I will wait and see what happens once The Prince and Princess of Wales are both back as working royals. At the moment, combined with Camilla wearing the robe of a queen regnant into the coronation, it looks very much like King Charles is trying to set her up as his co-ruler and not his consort, but we will see what happens in the future.

The hypocrisy will be epic and make all their supporters look even more foolish than they already do. Can you imagine the knots they’d have to twist themselves into to justify it?

Also, I think it’s time………… I have to change my icon. It’s time. This is dramatic as hell but I haven’t been able to part ways with it in 4 years (almost exactly to the day), but given everything culminating in this weekend…… it’s time, friends.

In case anyone was wondering - The Royal Family official website has photographic proof that I had major heart eyes for William too (on the right with the flowers). Literally covering my face in awe.

I came back because it’s my last night and I am so sad about it I could cry. I’ll come back here every time I visit London for the rest of my life.
