Thinking abt band swap Kasumi again. Girlie with Issues <3

ships(?) id classify as “best friend!”

-kasumi and fernand: unlikely friendship but like the classic sorta. i feel like they balance each other well, fernand is proud but haughty and subservient, kasumi is anxious and shrinking in confrontation, but independent minded and modest. they kinda cover for each other when they need it, and i think help each other get better. they both have that past w experiences of loss, and are able to help each other cope i think, and become better people.

-moku and ito: another like.. very similar classic friendship sorta feel? esp in aime tachi verse, gosh esp there. (the main difference is that atverse theyre basically like the unlikely buddy cop duo, and mainverse its just kinda like... same dynamic but different setting) its kinda like.. moku is this impartial third party whos very honest and straightforward, and i think ito really benefits from that. and moku i think benefits from him too, shes kinda (esp in mainverse) had this impulse and ambition and just kinda tried to keep it hidden but is able to i think not fight it as much after they become friends? idk. its way never than the others but i really like it.

-mokou and schuu: brovocados. i dont think id really say its the “classic” feel the other two have? mostly bc schuu is a lot more passive id think than the other two. he doesnt really lash out at his problems the way they do (hence not an antagonistic role) but he still has them, instead handling them by dumping on himself (which isnt good either ofc). mokou and his friendship is one with more a focus on healing, and their each individual... self doubt? and such feelings. its sorta a friendship i think that could be confused as a romantic ish? ship just bc of kinda the... trust in more embarrassing matters too? but its def platonic.

-katsuko and juzo: i honestly. dont know? i think its somewhere in between the two types before? theres the element of “a has strong/unrequited/something feelings towards c but their friendship with b keeps them grounded and stable” that is shared ish w brovocados, but katsuko and juzo are more like... old friends who have overcome the awkwardness of high school bs feelings and now are like just two guys living next door to each other.

-kisumi and sevilbarra: ??????i dont know but i think theyre closest to the “best friends!” thing. again like moku and ito its super new. i dont remember which one was newer haha. sevilbarras been through hell and back but hes remarkably chill and positive and giving, i think hed be kind and supportive to kisumi when shes stressed out and the flirty confident facade crumbles, but kisumi is also there for him when he needs it. they are really dependable together id think.

platonic(ish) ships i wouldnt classify as “best friend”

-kasumi and delthea: its a friendship ofc but its somewhere... between like “friends!” and “sister in law”. its like “youve got a crush on my older brother but youre also kind to me and dependable and fun to spend time with”. idk its hard to put a label on it.

-kasumi and the rest of the squad (ursula, kaze, ect): well mostly those two, its like friendship/camaraderie with a hint of crushing a little? theres a bottom line of friendship and trust but theres other confusing and nebulous stuff there too.

-kisumi and the kids (jj, elta, aster): its like... friendship of course but theres also the element of that kisumi is an adult and theyre all younger (ish), kisumi takes on more of an older sibling ish? role with them all. its a friendship but its also like “older more experienced person you can ask for advice sometimes”

-kisumi and caro: its friendship yea but also like a... i have him tagged as a brother figure, id say theres like a sort of connection they end up having through music/arts. caro is encouraging and kind, he makes kisumi feel at peace and at home, in like a familial way rather than romantic.
