Hei I just got a brilliant [read: stupid] idea :)
Polishbur leading a journal/diary. He's having a bad time with making sure no one gets their hands on his notes or seeing what he's writing down-
At some point wil remembers that he can switch to polish, so he stops hiding as if he was writing fanfics at school and freely waxes poetry about his enemy, sure that no other person on the smp will be able to read it.
(Techno has tons of dictionaries. He's been trying to subtly use some words to let Wil know that he can read his notes but he butchers the pronunciation that nothing gets across. Techno is stuck with the knowledge. He's afraid.)
asakjdhsjdhs Techno picking up the journal that Wilbur dropped like "hey Wil, I think you drop—" only to look down and read what's written unwillingly
he half considers just leaving the server right then and there because he does not get paid enough for whatever this is
(also, plot twist: dream's been learning polish to impress spite polishbur, and at some point he gets his hands on the journal and can just fully read the poetry wilbur's written abt him ahskdjhkjdhsjdhss)
#meanwhile other members of the server have learned of the existence of the journal#and they're 100% convinced it's a grand plan of some sorts so now multiple people are desperately trying to learn the language#and get their hands on the journal#but they keep failing for increasingly comedic reasons#stella answers#karo sioster#dreblr#madduo

karo, I'm gonna put the responses to your ad aeternum asks under a cut just bc I posted the fic not that long ago and don't wanna, like, majorly spoil it for anyone who hasn't had the time to read it yet but wants to (also bc it's finals season and so many people are busy)
(also putting under the cut because wow these got really long actually 😭)
wilbur never calls the dream from his timeline marzenie. it would feel unfair, I think. unfair to both of them. because as he does get to know the dream of his timeline, he really does come to care about the other, but he's kinda swamped with this guilt of worrying he's just using dream as a replacement? at least for a while, he is. (swamped with guilt) so, he finds ways to keep them separate in his mind.
marzenie is the nickname he gave to the alternate timeline dream. marzenie loved the nickname. wilbur's not going to take that away by giving it to someone else. besides, it was always meant to be a way to differentiate the dreams, anyway.
he has all sorts of loving nicknames for the other dream—he has more time to find these nicknames. darling, sunshine, starlight, love, etc. but never marzenie. marzenie will always belong to the dream who was enthralled by the beauty of the earth, who was the first in a very long time to hold wilbur, who bantered with him and danced with him and *sobs* yeah </3
it would be a bit complicated, a bit messy, but ultimately good, I think. there's bureaucratic issues in starfleet wondering if wilbur bringing marzenie to their timeline breaks the prime directive. some (who don't like wilbur being in starfleet due to his ancestry) would fight extra hard to dismiss him from starfleet. wilbur's crew would fight hard for him, though. so would the manhunt. so would others. and, in the end, considering the literal time agency hasn't come to say wilbur messed up the timeline by doing so, they can only assume it's okay.
there's a lot of grief, too. from marzenie. they didn't really have a lot of time to discuss it in the 21st century, but marzenie has lost pretty much anyone he's ever known and loved. there's joys with getting to know versions of sapnap and george and others who are alive, but they're still different versions. and the versions of the people he loved who are dead are still gone. and the versions of people he loved who are alive are still gone. and maybe he felt that those alive only saw him as something broken, but he still cared about them.
so, there's a lot of grief. but wilbur is there. and wilbur loves him. and it was either live with wilbur and the grief or be erased with his timeline and leave wilbur alone, and marzenie would always choose to stay.
there's other complications (marzenie was a captain in his timeline but has no starfleet training—he ends up on the syndicate as essentially non-starfleet personnel). there's also complications with this timeline's dream. and this timeline's dream team. and this timeline's manhunt. and where marzenie fits with them. complications with wilbur's relationship with this timeline's dream, too.
but, ultimately, it's good. marzenie bonds with the crew of the syndicate when he's figuring out what to do when he's not a captain in a war. he learns to bake with niki. he also spars with her. he gets close to techno. they also spar. he loses a fair amount. he continuously pushes wilbur to discuss the complicated relationship wilbur has with techno. the human members of the crews are people familiar to marzenie. he likes to get to know these versions. he convinces wilbur to sign up for therapy. he signs up for therapy himself.
it turns out he gets along really well with dream. they reach a point where they just start introducing themselves as twins. dream's parents include him in family dinners. dream's siblings just say they have another brother. george eventually transfers to the manhunt. the entire dream team complains about marzenie staying on the syndicate but in a light hearted way. the crews of the two ships get really close, actually, and they find lots of excuses to rendezvous. congrats they've unlocked a new level of friendship
things with wilbur and marzenie are really good. they explore the earth together. they take shore leave together and travel. they cuddle and write songs. when marzenie decides to write a book, wilbur reads it and gives advice. they adopt a cat together. they peel oranges for each other. it's all really soft and domestic. and they love each other and they love their friends and they heal together. and everyone's really happy.
(anyway, I think some days wilbur would wake up after extremely vivid dreams (pun not intended) of the above scenario. he'll have incredibly vivid dreams of a universe where marzenie was never shot. and a lot of the dreams take inspiration where he's found himself in life—the crews of the syndicate and manhunt get close. they hang out a lot, actually. wilbur writes more music. wilbur goes to therapy. wilbur gets a cat. when the ships meet up, wilbur & dream often cuddle together at night. etc etc.
but I think the dreams with marzenie would be so vivid, that for a moment he'd wake up and wonder where marzenie was. on especially bad days, he wakes up with bleary eyes and, for a moment, thinks this timeline's dream is marzenie.
and he feels incredibly guilty afterwards. and in particularly bad days, he holds dream close and says "I love you" over and over again with emphasis on the "you" just so dream knows. and dream doesn't fully understand, but dream knows wilbur's been through a lot, and he knows healing isn't linear, so he just holds wilbur close and repeats the same words to him)

Dream reads the journal and has a little crisis- maybe it's a handwritten poem collection Wil got somewhere? Maybe it means something totally different because of the different cultures??
While everyone else is absolutely failing at learning polish yes 😭 I can imagine the possibility of mistaking a different slavic language for polish or thinking that Wil is writing in a code xDDDD
everyone is going to tommy like "quick you and wilbur are brothers, right?? where did you grow up what language is that????" and tommy awkwardly has to reveal that he and wilbur aren't actually blood siblings and have actually only known each other for ~a year lmao
dream, like, takes a couple of the journal pages somehow ahdkjshdjsds and at some point sapnap finds him with it and becomes 100% convinced that wilbur and dream are plotting together which makes the entire server even more frantic in their attempts to figure out the language
meanwhile wilbur is, like, making collages and writing poetry (and freaking out when he realizes some pages are missing), techno is burdened with knowledge™ but finds the rest of the server's fumbling to be amusing, and dream is, like, reading the poetry every night trying to figure out what it means.
(at some point tommy & tubbo are sneaking into the community house to try and spy on dream to figure out whatever's going on, and they hear dream giggling and think it's, like, a maniacal laugh, but really dream is just flustered by wilbur's prose lmao)
#this has such wonderful potentials to be a hilarious comedy/borderline crack fic ashlkdjskdjhskdjs#techno is the only normal one#dream and wilbur have *gestures vaguely* whatever is going on#and the rest of the server is acting as though the end of the world is upon them#I think a few other people would also figure out what's going on and be normal (like niki for example)#stella answers#karo sioster

Not the 'let's contact a goddess' 💀💀💀 who. Who proposed the idea. I'm glad Phils having fun with this ,,,
also funfact it makes sense for her to be the goddess of death! In polish every word is gendered and death is a feminine word (which is actually pretty uncommon compared to other languages) :) and the old slavic god of death is a woman too!! Marzanna my beloved.
The fact that Dream goes to techno to get help. No breaks for techno in this au he's the one burdened with everything
wait you're right her being the goddess of death does make perfect sense!!! it's all coming together..
techno is caught in the middle of everything tbh.. wilbur's trying to enlist his help in finding the missing journal pages + figuring out who the anonymous sender of letters is, dream is going to techno for help writing said letters, and half the server thinks techno is also a part of this "big bad plan" whilst the other half are trying to get his help in preparing for.. whatever they're convinced wilbur & dream have planned.
it also does not help that techno just caught tommy trying to steal all of his gapples in some attempt at summoning a goddess that he found in some musty old book that most certainly won't work
niki is also one of the few people who knows what's going on, but, unlike techno, she's actually very at peace (dream does come to her for help in baking a recipe at some point, but that's about the most she's bothered, and she's happy to help) (also, despite the utter chaos the server has been thrown in, it's somehow also the most peaceful it's been in a while—no one's stabbing each other or burning down people's things, so the chaos is more funny than anything else).

About bloody shirt au, what are Wilburs abilities? Does he specialise in something, rather than just being a common bard and sorcerer

so, wilbur is most well known as a bard. he's actually more powerful as a sorcerer, but, at least for public image, he really leans into the bard role since it helps people underestimate him. he's a really really good sorcerer though.
for people familiar with d&d, you'll know that a sorcerer's stat for spellcasting is charisma, and wilbur is definitely maxed out in charisma. he has some basic spells and cantrips: mage hand, fireball, etc etc. for those who do know he's a sorcerer, they most commonly associate him with fire-y and explosive spells, along with, like, one healing spell which he learned after the party's healer was incapacitated and everyone had to heal the normal way.
but, his most powerful sorcerer spells come from his sorcerer bloodline, which most people (re: everyone but techno and eventually dream) don't know about. he's related to the goddess of death. no one really knows how he's related, but the relation is there, so his most powerful spells do necrotic damage. he doesn't use it often, but, let's just say down the line after he gets close to dream, dream gets seriously injured, and wilbur? well, wilbur doesn't even think to worry about his image: all he can think about is saving dream and making the people who hurt him pay :)

I know that Saturn's a fan-favorite when it comes to planets, and I'm not trying to be cliché with this, but I genuinely feel like Saturn fits you the best. (I also think that you deserve to have the most brilliant and eye-catching rings in the solar system <3)
Saturn's such a cool planet. Like, I understand why so many people love Saturn. All the gas giants have rings (though we didn't used to know this), but Saturn's is the most notable. There are a couple of theories for this, but, ultimately, we still don't know for certain why this is. They're incredibly young though, which I think is really cool. (like, probably about as old as the dinosaurs?)
Fun Fact: the Cassini spacecraft that was sent to Saturn is arguably NASA's most successful mission launched in terms of how much data it was able to collect compared to how much the mission cost.
Anyway, as I've said on other posts, these assignments are essentially all based on vibes, and I really do think you and Saturn fit each other's vibes the most.
I don't know how to describe it. I feel like Saturn matches your wondrous flow of creativity, and I also feel like your presence here in this community and the presence of Saturn in the solar system are, like, the same, but idk if I'm making sense when I say that. Like, I feel like you're a staple of the madduo community just as Saturn is a staple of the solar system, y'know?
Anyway, I'm not afraid to admit that I am like the many and I absolutely adore Saturn. There are so many fun things to be learned from Saturn, and it's also just an incredibly pretty planet, and it's relatively easy to see from telescopes (and you can see the rings when you do that!!!) (well, we're coming up on a period where we won't be able to see Saturn's rings, but we'll get them back lol)

actually, speaking of space, did you know that we're actually approaching a time when we're not gonna be able to see Saturn's rings from Earth at all??? this is because they're incredibly thin (like, they're less than a kilometer thick), so when we face them directly from the side, they won't be visible at all.
don't worry, though, we'll be able to see them again a handful of months after a period of not being able to see them.

Oh right au name ... hm alright I have a few awful ideas:
- smp debili (smp of idiots)
- coded prose
- polish journal
- unknown roots
Also I never established the time period?? I'd say its a vague time around L'manburg war or Pogtopia vs Manburg? But antarctic base is already built because Techno deserves to have a normal cozy home <3 and Phil is there early.
ajsdhskjdhsjkdhs some of these name ideas are so beautiful for such a silly au.. unknown roots sounds as though it would be a mystical fantasy mystery when in reality this au is like the silliest thing ever
anyway, I really like both coded prose and smp debili.. hmmm which one do you think fits better?
as for time period, I've kind of been picturing it as the pogtopia vs manberg au?
except everyone got distracted by the notes so the war has kinda been put on hold. techno went to the arctic because evidently overthrowing the government had been put on the back burner and with that being the case he's decided to retire early. (it does not, however, stop dream from showing up at random times on his door step in the middle of the night asking for help translating polish lmao)
phil comes to the server early because techno asks him to
literally both manberg and pogtopia and everyone else actually are working together to uncover this mystery. well, mostly. schlatt doesn't really care, niki already knows what's going on, and there are a few other server members doing their own thing. but most of them are freaking out because they're 100% certain something bad is gonna happen (not helped by the fact that tommy caught dream giving wilbur tnt right before the journal was discovered and the war got put on hold).

I thinking back on Tommy being a nosy idiot and spying on dream to figure out the text- I can see a version of raccoon innit breaking in to snoop around phils belonging hoping to find anything about what the 'code' is 😭 I don't even know what would Phil have there but Tommy sure is going to try and find something
Tommy snooping around Phil's belongings but he's unable to find anything. Until, he finds a letter to Phil from Kristin, and it's written in the same language as Wilbur's journal.
Tommy takes this proof to the rest of the server, and thus starts a convoluted plan to contact the goddess of death to figure out what language it is ahsdkjhskjdhs
Meanwhile, Dream has begun to send Wilbur anonymous letters in very broken Polish along with pressed flowers <33
(Techno, of course, shared all this with Phil, and Phil actually purposefully left the letter where Tommy could find it because he wanted to see what the server would do for it.. he's quite enjoying the chaos)
