Taken by nuo2x2 with Vivo V19
I looove KR Alpha from the new Amazons web series...
but what I love more? Blind Alpha... a.k.a. Amazon Alpha from second season... what not to love... a battle worn veteran, with traumatic incident, loose to hunt the main riders...

Hi, screenshot anon here (I'm anon I can name myself how I want lol) I dont think I put my question right, I was referring to the images for your reactions (I'm dumb and English is not my main), but I just can't imagine watching the show like 1 second and *bum* screenshot, I will be too invested to pause. Also (because this is already long so why not :/) what kamen rider series have you already seen? Sorry if I'm being annoying 😅
SCREENSHOT ANON!!!
Tumblr media
(<333 super cute nickname you've given yourself.)
Haha your question wasn't wrong perse -- just not specific enough around what you actually wanted to know :'D.
For my reaction images,,,,some I already have saved onto my computer because I regularly send reaction gifs/memes as inside jokes to Nacho and J and just extended that to my liveblogs
and some of them I actually went and searched for to properly convey the emotional experience I was going through in that specific moment LOL!!!
I know what you mean about being invested lakjsdflkajsdlf.
Idk maybe its because I'm sharing the experience? That I'm able to pause? Kind of like I'm bringing you guys with me like "DAMN can y'all BELIEVE that? Holy guacamole!!"
hahaha makes pausing easier I'd say :'D.
LoL again don't worry about sending long asks <333! I love 'em.

Watched the second episodes of Ryuki and Amazon.
I never blogged after the first episodes on here, but the gist for Ryuki was “Ryuki as a lead does not seem compelling, awkward comedy, cool concept, interesting that there are more experienced Riders, real sense that there is a mystery, Ryuki’s employers say acab.”
While Amazon was “gosh this is violent, lot of mentors are dying, kid and Amazon are cute, odd choice to make the lead feral, ten headed demon is great in design plus he spews burning oil and kills his monsters that fail him.”
Now about the second episodes of both series.
Amazon, I feel like it tries to sort of replicate the second episode of the original Kamen Rider, but falls short. In both, a young woman in the main cast believes the Rider is evil and responsible for hurting her loved ones. In the original Kamen Rider, in the first episode Ruriko sees Hongo with his arms around her father’s throat, and sees him die of strangulation, not realizing he was being strangled by spider webs that Hongo was trying to pull off him. This leads to the second episode where she is trying to prove Hongo is evil. She has reason to blame him, having misunderstood the situation, and it builds off earlier stories.
In Amazon, the woman is pretty much “well things have been bad since Amazon Rider showed up, so it’s his fault.” Despite not being at the scene of the crime and witnesses disagreeing with her. She also does little with this belief, just shouting at Amazon to leave the hospital. It feels a lot weaker. We did learn a bit about the motives of Ten Faced Demon though, and he remains a great villain.
In Ryuki, writing seems better than the first episode. The mirror effects remain neat (except when people fall through that mirror tunnel effect) and while much of the lore is currently unexplained, there is a sense that there is lore, and what we know fits it. The minor reveals about Kamen Rider Knight are interesting, putting his prior actions in a new light, and Ryuki as a character is a bit more compelling this time, less awkward comedy. Also we get a nice speech about truth, which seems like it will be a theme going forward. Yui seems neat ~~and not just because she sometimes dresses androgynously~~ and her motives seem strong and match the theme of truth. Next time’s preview suggests Ryuki wishes to ignore the plot to protect people from monsters, which is honestly making me more invested in him.
Overall Ryuki was stronger this week I have to say. Here’s hoping they post more episodes this week, as they were posting the original Kamen rider recently, but they still have not posted that show’s third episode yet.

D-do people seriously think that Kamen Rider’s main series, a show nearing fifty years, with the core values being that of Justice and teaching good morals to children (mainly those of young age) is comparable to the literal Adult Oriented, we have a warning at the start of the show that this isn’t for kids, here’s some gore Amazons?
They realize that it was web exclusive for a reason right? Like they didn’t want kids to see that?

New data on the summer movies, we have three evil time manipulating Riders called the Quartzers, who might have had a hand in bringing the Oma Zi-O timeline into reality. Each of them has a theme of Riders that are supposed to be Heisei or part of the main line of shows, but due to certain technicalities are classified otherwise.
Barlux is Black RX themed, a Rider who is Showa by default due to Ishinomori’s involvement and starting before Emperor Hirohito’s death. Zonjis is an anagram: ZO, S(h)in, J, aka the ‘90s movie Riders of which all three are Showa as they were Ishinomori’s final Kamen Rider projects he was involved in and out of respect to him as the creator of this franchise, we the fans and Toei refer to them as such. Also, Zonjis’s suit is made up of parts of all three Riders.
And lastly, we have Zamonas, it doesn’t take a genius to figure out this is an anagram for Amazons, which is not counted as part of the main line of TV series as it is a streaming web series and not part of greater continuity as it is a re-imagining of an older Showa era TV show set in its own universe.
Another tidbit given by actor Keisuke Watanabe (Woz) is that Zi-O: Over Quartzer is one of those Kamen Rider movies that serves as an alternate ending to the series, as he hinted that the TV show’s ending is very different from the movie version. So you can skip it if you want to or choose which ending you want the show to go out on.
On the Sentai side of things, the Ryusoulger movie IS canon to the show as it serves as an “Episode 0″, this movie shows the Ryusoul Tribe’s origins as well as the birth of the Kishiryu. The Ryusoulgers from our time will accidentally end up 65,000,000 years in the past to witness this and need to preserve history until they can find a way home. The movie exclusive is a new mecha, a navy and gold Tyramigo recolor that forms the robot Kishiryuzin.

Kamen Rider Amazons: Amazons
Amazons are monsters from the 2016 Tokusatsu web series (and also technically remake), Kamen Rider Amazons. Amazons are humanoid organisms created by special cells called Amazon Cells. They are not really humans per se, but they can maintain human appearances. They are the result of a prestigious experiment and number in exactly 4000. Amazons can think and act like humans, but are also bound to animal-like instincts. The facility who made them equipped each one with an arm brace that injects them with special drugs in order to keep them satiated. However, those drugs do not last forever, and if not replaced, the Amazons will go berserk and transform into a more monstrous-looking form. In this form, not only is the transformation irreversible, but they become human-eating beasts and in some cases, will even eat fellow Amazons, if it satisfies their hunger. While they are certainly monster-like, they are the first Kamen Rider monsters I’ve reviewed that act like animals the most. Once transformed, they succumb to their instincts and hunger. They no longer act like the humanoid being they once were. Any form of human-like consciousness and appearance disappears, and in place comes something vastly similar to an apex predator.

realistic thinking: if amazon US even decides to bother with kamen rider amazons it’ll do... maybe alright enough to get one or two other web-exclusive rider series officially. won’t set the world on fire but hey
dream thinking: netflix or someone gets the rights to kamen rider and subs all of it, every series!
super-dream thinking: netflix or someone hires a competent and caring production team to remake kamen rider faiz keeping it mostly true to the original except for fixing problems especially in regards to faiz collapsing in on itself in the endgame!!! on top of of course the subs of everything!!!

Ultraman - what’s on streaming now
Shout! Factory will be getting the Ultra-series under its streaming umbrella in the near future, but there’s a surprising number of series currently available online (yes, legally)
Amazon has a number of series available for purchase, but the real treasure trove is via the channel TOKU, available as a Prime Channel for only $3.99 a month. They currently have:
Ultraman Leo Ultraman 80 Ultraman Gaia Ultraman Neos Ultraman Cosmos Ultraman Max Ultraman Mebius Ultraman Mebius: Side Story Ultraseven X  Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle (an under-appreciated series, IMHO - it’s the one who movie featured the debut of Ultraman Zero) Ultraman Nexus Ultraman Ginga S (but not Ginga / the “first season”) Ultraman X Ultraman Orb Ultraman Zero: The Chronicles
As well as Neo Ultra Q and the animated The Ultraman
Not enough? They also have Mirrorman and the original Gridman.
Toku is also available as a stand-alone service and app at www.watchtoku.com, but oddly, the web site subscription is incompatible with the Amazon Prime channels, and vice versa.  So if you’d rather watch the shows on your Fire TV as opposed to on your various mobile devices, choose accordingly.
Amazon and Toku both carry Outerman, a magnificent little parody tribute to Ultraman by Minoru Kawasaki, the maniac behind Calamari Wrestler
VRV is a site offering subscriptions to a ridiculous number of animation and anime service, including RoosterTeeth and Crunchyroll, all for ten bucks a month. They have several of the series Toku has, but they also have Ultraman Geed, both series of Ginga, and a wacky animated web show called Kaiju Girls.
Netflix, of course, has the new Ultraman anime series.
Right now, Shout! Factory only has Ultraman Leo on their site, But they’re still running all the Super Sentai series they still have the rights to, as well as the original Kamen Rider and the first series of the Heisei era, Kamen Rider Kuuga
Have I missed any?

Kamen Rider TV Show Questions: Which Neo Heisei Era Kamen Rider/Phase Two series do you want to see adapted in America (besides "Kamen Rider Black RX" and "Kamen Rider Ryuki")? And by whom..Saban Brands or some other corporation?
Ha ha I see I can’t answer Black RX. You mention Neo Heisei so I’ll stick with those. Out of those... I’d like to see OOO or Ex-Aid. I think OOO would serve an adaptation well with the potential for character development. Ex-Aid would just sell a lot of toys but that would be good for Kamen Rider going forward because it would finally make Kamen Rider popular in the west.
As for who I’d like to see doing the adaptation. Saban has me wary of them these days, I’d want it to be done by a web content service like Netflix, Amazon or Hulu. But I guess TV is still important. In that case I’d look to whoever does any of these superhero shows like DC’s The Flash or even Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. If they can work on a Kamen Rider property that is.

We got a lot of awesome and cringy news to talk about so lets get started!
First we can see “Ninja Master Mode” which will be the Ninja Steel Rangers cockpit form. After that we can see a mysterious image from a Kamen Rider set. It appears that Ex-aid and Amazons may crossover? Its just speculation at this point but we have confirmation they WILL crossover with the Kyurangers which is bad ass ^__^
Next up we have the Legend Rider Gashats which will feature Kuuga-Decade as a Premium Bandai Web Exclusive. W-Drive are regular releases and Ghost is a video game exclusive.

Lastly we have some AWESOME close up shots of the Kyurangers showing off all their unique differences in the suits. Are you hyped for the new series?
