Happy Inazuma day!! :D

I can’t believe the franchise is turning fifteen already! I didn’t really know what to do for the occasion, so I just did a bunch of screenshot redraws for episode 15 (y’know, cuz 15th anniversary)... ^^’

I’ve been a fan of Inazuma Eleven since 2010 and it’s been a part of my life for most of it: I don’t think it’s going to change anytime soon.

I’d like to give a special thanks to the Inazuma Eleven fandom on tumblr, which is one of the best fandoms I’ve ever been a part of. Let’s keep this up guys!

And of course, happy birthday to Endou! If we take this next image at face-value and not as a mere reference to the game’s release date, that would mean Endou turned fourteen in 2008 and therefore is turning twenty-nine today!! Congrats to him!

I'll get back to the Deaf Tenma idea in a bit (you had some really good suggestions btw) but another what if idea I have is more focused on whose the coach of raimon, because putting endou in charge seems extremely obvious, like of course he's trying to overthrow 5th sector, that kind of thing seems right up his alley, so they decide to put someone, a little more low key in the coach position.

after going through the list of people based on notoriety(or lack there of), willingness, and availability, the ideal candidate for raimons coach ends up being none other than: Kageno Jin

it mostly follows kageno, endeavoring to be a better coach than he or his teammates had when they were at raimon, and really trying to be a pillar of support for these kids in what is clearly a very shitty situation (trying to be what he and his friends needed when they were hospitalized, thinking about how, just maybe, if they had someone to rely on, they might not have felt the need to take the aliea meteorite.)

by the time that endou and the others meet raimon and kageno at God Eden, atleast half of raimon are fully convinced that kageno is the best coach/soccer player Ever, 'even better than you mr endou mamoru sir', and kageno has taken a stance of 'if anything else happens to these kids I'm going to start biting people'

endou's just happy to see kageno getting out of his shell

while this theoretical fic takes place in the go time period, it'd end up focusing on both gens quite a bit, which while I like the idea of a lot, it would also be a pain cause I'd have to come up where a lot of the original cast ended up in life myself, since a lot of them never cameod in go

Ooh, this sounds like a really fun idea, especially since Kageno is such a background character! I don't know much about his character (it's been a looong time since I watched the OG), but the idea of him really putting in the effort to teach and help these kids better than he and his friends did in the past sounds a super heartwarming. I do remember him being part of the group that got ''left behind'' during the alien business, so honestly I can see that as a big motivation to him to being a good coach that puts his players first. Him maybe being semi-awkward at first too, not really knowing how to deal with being a coach and afraid he might not be a good enough coach since he was never an incredible player like some of his teammates... there are so many ways to approach this, especially since you want to write it from his perspective, it sounds great!

You're right that it would probably take some worldbuilding but that could be pretty fun and interesting? You could more actively include some background characters from the OG, who usually don't show up in fanfiction, assuming Kageno would've kept contact more with some of the people from the very first Raimon.

It's honestly a really fun and creative idea!! Best of luck with it if you decide to write it, I think it could be a really great story!

as you can clearly see, theres written in the fandom wiki that kageno is a 'boy', and they refer to kageno with he/him pronouns in the anime too.

but! in honosuto, official manga spin-off, who talks about gouenji's daily casual life, people refer to kageno with she/her!
