thanks for doing the kid quisition :P would you please now have them react to the kid quizzy's parents/friends showing up to help in any way? (like if their an elf, the entire clan shows up and tries to help? ect) like they even will ask the inner circle if they need them to do anything? "Heres those new inkwells you asked for mr varric!" "Lady vivienne, i believe these herbs would go well with your tea!" ect :P
Apologies for being 80-something days late! I’ve been incredibly sidetracked. I hope this is alright!
Sera: Sera hates it when people poke their noses into her personal business… unless she really wants them to. When a gaggle of helpful, friendly, and cheerful folk invade Skyhold, it’s her worst nightmare. She prefers to be alone in a tavern, drinking, than having however many well-meaners asking her questions and being far too nosy. Nosiness and pranks are her thing, and she won’t put up with being on the recieving end!
Cole: Cole. He wants so much to help them all. Inside each and every one, from the kids to the very eldest, he can see their desires, their fears, their hopes. He wants to put all of their fears to rest, to make their minds quiet again, but he can’t. They are too many, and he is too few. Cole is just cole. He can’t help but be overwhelmed by them all.
Varric: Between his humour and charm, Varric’s always easy to get on with, and he does his best to entertain the Inquisitor’s relatives while they’re there. He ‘misplaces’ Bianca one night after some mischievous nieces and nephews take a look. Certain aunts and uncles disapprove of the rogue, naturally, but certain cousins on the other hand… Well, his stories are a favourite, family-round.
Blackwall: Blackwall’s a hit among the younger visitors, though he does gravitate towards the battle-weary when he feels the desperation to be understood. While the adults are out rebuilding the damaged areas of Skyhold, he’ll sit in the barn and show off his wonderful carpentry skills to the children– he even lets them keep the little wooden griffons that he makes.
Cass: Cassandra scares most of the newcomers. She’s happy with that, for the most part. But when she needs to get work done and people run away from her as soon as she raises her voice, it becomes tiresome. Those who are courageous enough to approach her are awed by her skill in battle, and the rest are unpleasantly shocked when they find her reading one of Varric’s more - ahem - popular novels in the corner of the tavern.
Bull: Bull might not have the most family friendy interests, but he loves gatherings. The more the merrier, in his mind. He drinks with the older members of the family, and regales the youngsters with countless tales and legends. Bull even lets some of the particularly little ones sit on his shoulders. If they’re extra lucky, they get to play with his horns. Krem finds it incredibly amusing.
Solas: The entrance to the library has always been Solas’ space. Whatever scrolls, spells, books, journals or documents he needed were always at his disposal, and with minimal bother. And, mostly, the other members of Skyhold left him to it, until the Inquisitor’s family arrives. Then, the library is aflood with curious young ones, trying to read each and every boom that’s heavier than them; and hard workers, sorting thousands of sheets of paper in places he can’t keep track of; and finally, the weathered ones, coming to find a quiet place, or to ask him questions about his history. Solas appreciates those visitors the most.
Vivienne: Vivienne practically lives for the opportunity to throw lavish balls and celebrations, so when the Inquisitor’s entire family appears at the gates of Skyhold, she’s ready. She wouldn’t dare make it obvious, but everybody knows that the mage has a soft spot for the young Inquisitor, so she bites her tongue when she wants to throw a sizzling comment to any of their relatives. Instead, she preoccupies herself with showing the curious ones some small tricks to stay away from the family’s bulk.
Dorian: Dorian’s a flirt, that much is obvious to anybody with a pair of eyes and an ear, so there’s a large demographic among the Inquisitor’s family that quickly figure out that their favourite place in Skyhold is the library. Dorian orders them around with the utmost glee, watching them run up and down the halls and stairs with arms full of books he has no real use for. Dorian chuckles and smiles: and thus nobody complains.
Cullen: Cullen does his best to play the part of a happy-to-help knight in shining armor, but it exhausts him. The endless new faces to learn and then forget and then relearn; the neverending stream of requests; the battle to find everyone somewhere to sleep; and by the Maker, those children! He hides away from curious aunties in his tower.
Josie: Josephine was born to organise people. Nevertheless, she never imagined that the Inquisitor had such a vast family… the poor Antivan is sure that some of these people must be lying, surely? Regardless of her personal opinion, Josie is glad to help any of them. She cleverly assigns individual family members to tasks that she knows they’ll be useful in, and with her smarts and their numbers, Skyhold is whipped right into shape. Josephine’s a favourite amongst the elderly relatives.
Leliana: Leliana keeps to herself at first, wary of the influx of new visitors; it’s been a long time since she felt comfortable around so many strangers. Her initial excuse is “spywork” and she makes sure to emphasize how “top secret” her job is. It works, for a while, until one day she can’t help but notice that one of the Inquisitor’s aunts is wearing a wonderful pair of shoes, complete with ribbon and a little pearl, and she squeals. After that, Leliana simply must make some friends.
