Ein Spiel, sie zu knechten, an den Spieltisch zu treiben und ewig zu binden. „Herr der Ringe – Reise durch Mittelerde“ hat es sehr schnell geschafft, uns in den Bann zu ziehen. Mittelerde ist ein unglaublich tolles, umfangreiches Universum, in dem so vieles erzählt werden kann. Im Spiel passiert das innerhalb einer App. Für uns war nach den ersten Missionen schnell klar, dass wir alles erleben wollen, was @fantasyflightgames/@asmodee von „Herr der Ringe“ anbieten. Also habe ich alle verfügbaren Erweiterungen bestellt, und als begeisterter Miniaturenbemaler wollte ich die Monster-Erweiterungen auch noch haben. Die neue ist auch schon geliefert, fehlt aber auf dem Bild. Ist ja nicht so, dass ich keine Minis mehr habe, die noch Farbe brauchen. 🤣🤣 Was uns nach den ersten Missionen schmerzlich aufgefallen ist: In diesem Spiel soll man gar nicht jede Mission gewinnen. 😱 Die Zeit sitzt einem immer im Nacken, die Begegnungen mit mehreren Gegnergruppen enden sehr schnell tödlich. Ungewohnt, aber ein interessanter Aspekt. Es spielt sich daher anders als beispielsweise „Descent“. Positiv finde ich, dass es auch rein digitale Missionen gibt, die das Spiel mit bestehendem Material um komplette Storylines erweitert. Wie sind eure Erfahrungen mit dem Spiel? Aragorn and Elena are surprisingly nonchalant when faced by some wargs and orcs. Too bad, as Aragorn soon perished. Journeys in Middle-Earth has clearly its roots in Mansions of Madness, but it adds new, interesting things on top. There’s a pretty cool skill mechanism for example. Oops, actually I wanted to paint Descent Minis. But due to reasons, I still finished completing Terrain Tiles for Lord of the Rings. Spider webs, swamp, fountain and rocky areas are finished. This was about the time things started to go wrong in our Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-earth scenario... well, we almost made it.
