Does anyone else ever think about the fact Warpers were artificially created and the only species on 4546B with a similar (for a given definition of the word similar) body shape as the Cuddlefish.

I'm not saying Al-An's people definitely made Warpers from Cuddlefish, I'm just saying it's an interesting and potentially horrifying coincidence.
Though I suppose the Sea Dragon and Sea Emperor('s babies) also have similar body types... Sea Emperor certainly has the... scythe style arm appendages...

I JUST KILLED A REAPER LEVIATHAN WITH JELLYFISH!?!?!
So quick disclaimer, I did this in creative, just because I didn't want to waste time finding out it couldn't be done while dying a lot.
A few months ago I discovered you can move drooping stingers with the propulsion canon, today I found out you can only move the little ones, and they are, unfortunately, immune to the gravtraps.
My initial plan was to put a few gravtraps loaded with drooping stingers around a beacon and see if they could poison the reaper to death, but with that nixxed, I had to find a new way to do it, since once you move the jellyfish of death, they stop floating.
Luckily, a proper application of Floaters fixed that right up.
I collected what death jellies i could and moved them to the crash zone, using floaters to attach them to the underside of the platforms.
once I felt I had a good amount, I saved the game and set a beacon in the middle of my jelly horde. I couldn't see a lot during the first beacon, because it was night, and a few floaters chose to jump fish to the Reaper.
Then I noticed my beacon was gone, so I dropped a second one amidst the stinging armada, and moved to a better height so I could see if the Reaper was actually making contact with my army as the sun came up.
The Reaper smashed the second beacon... and rolled over. Dead.

Uhhhh, maybe I can leave that to someone braver??? 😅
Hmmm, maybe next step should be finding out if I can floater a Reaper to death??

My original plan came after discovering drooping stingers' yeetability, and figuring out how to farm stalker teeth with a gravtrap. My first test was making sure I could move a loaded gravtrap with a propulsion canon, which you can, but since the drooping stingers and floaters are both immune to gravtraps, I had to move the jellies by throwing them in small groups across the map. The floaters go in the inventory, luckily, but they kept popping, so I had to harvest so many.
Found some fun plants in the deep jelly filled holes though, turns out some plants are also yeetable?

you know, I even checked the water before I built it to avoid just such a thing? it's like it spawned right under my platform for the lulz.

Started a new build in Subnautica (creative) out on the edge of the Sparse Reef. Really wish I had the long buildings and glass roofs from BZ for this one.
I wanted this one to be really big and span the majority of the mountainside, just sort of stepping down and around the ridges and natural slopes and plateaus of the big drop into the Sparse Reef.
I did think about building out in The Mountains, but the Reapers are so flipping rude. So just no.
I am enjoying some delightful plant mods though~
(Kinda wish there was a mod for in-base staircases, sometimes I just don't want ladders, you know?)
Don't worry about the Thermal Reactor, I gave it some Pyrocoral friends... I don't think it will be powering very much though... ^_^'
Oh, and I found a Time Capsule! So that was nice.

It’s a nice day on 4546b, and you’re a survivor who’s going through the recent scanning data before heading out for the day.
Suddenly there’s a clanging on the habitat, and the hardened glass behind you creaks.
In the corners of your vision you see something outside the window reaching past you to wrap around the hab.
Then it roars.
While building my hab for the Crash Zone project, I kept worrying this would happen. Thankfully no, but I still worry. 😅

I just spent far too long trying to figure out how big/tall the Neptune gantry is (roughly 27 meters or just over 88 feet) all for a fanfic idea that I’m never going to write.
Edit: I initially calculated it about 32 meters (104’) but I’d forgotten to take away the actual build platform height above sea level.
I only did this because I couldn’t find the height anywhere which was kind of annoying.
In conclusion: it would take about 8 Gantry elevators to get to the top of the ice Wall in Westeros.

Update on the Crash Zone ‘Restoration’ Project
By the time I’m done, Sea Crowns will no longer be an endangered species. XD
I’ve also found a small spit of land on the far side of the Aurora I’ve decided to greenify, so I made some markers for myself so I stop slamming face first into the ship’s hull in the dark.
I’m using Rouge Cradle to mark the “away from the ship” side and Spotted Dockleaf to mark the ‘inside’, while Ghost Weed combines with either Sea Crown or Violet Beau to indicate a change in ‘altitude” (Sea Crown for ‘go down’ and Violet Beau for ‘go up’)
Now that there’s less Reapers to worry about I can just swing out wide around it, but just in case.
This Blog was supposed to be for me to dump my shitty art, but Subnautica is just so addictive. Must. Build. THINGS!!!!!
